This is the only hospital I will take my pets!!! Dr. D is the best and the staff there have always been amazing to me and my babies!

Can’t say enough good things about Dr. D! He spent at least 30 minutes with us regarding our 8 yrs cat with behavioral problems. Gave us great advice, tips on how to try to break bad habits. Medication to try, cat pheromone diffusers to calm and name of cleaners to use. Clipped his nails, examined him, xrays and because he knew we took him to another Vet who charged us $ 350.00 for unnecessary tests, he charged us only for meds. My daughters and all their friends go to him! Give him a try. Best experience at a vets office ever!

Despite long wait times (15minutes into my appointment time) in the lobby when scheduling a week ahead and 45minutes in the room, I’ve found the new vet Dr. Vanderwalt is very knowledgeable when it comes to my French Bulldogs. She has experience and will take time to explain what needs to be done and how to make your dogs health top notch. Overall I’m satisfied with the service with the vet, but the vet techs are not so knowledgeable and neither is the new desk girl. I will continue my services here and hope for the best, as I’m going with my overall feeling.

This place has been AWFUL since they changed hands and today was the final straw for me. My wife and I have been going to this vet for 4 years and it was fantastic when Dr. D owned the place. Shortly after it changed hands I noticed that there was entirely new staff who were incredibly poorly trained. The front desk women that I had known and loved were gone and they were replaced by a girl with black hair and glasses that had a very hard time performing the simplest functions of her job. I don’t think it was due to a lack of competence on her part, but because she had not been properly trained.
The new groomer was awful– we warned her that our dog Freud was aggressive with strangers and that she could use a muzzle if needed. She ended up soaping him up and then said he got too «nippy» with her and «rinsed» him off and sent him home. She was so eager to leave the place that she left before we were able to drive 15 minutes to pick him up. A couple days later we noticed that Freud had formed an enormous rash because she didn’t rinse all the soap off of him. Paradise Pet Hospital was unapologetic, but thankful ly Dr. D waived the exam fee when I brought him in.
I noticed that my cat Kaiju had been walking in circles so I brought him in to be checked out. The brand new vet told me that his ears looked fine so he was probably just giving himself multiple concusions and it was nothing I should be worried about. He said the only thing we could really do was give him a blood test, so we did. He did not warn me about the cost and it turned out to be VERY expensive. My cat died two months later.
As if I wasn’t pissed off enough about my dead cat… Today my dog Teek got something stuck in her nose. The vet we switched to (East Charleston Animal Hospital) is closed on Sundays. I called Paradise Pet Hospital and told them about the situation and the receptionist said to come in. After coming in we waited and the new owner/​vet came out (obviously annoyed), barely looked at us, and told us that she had too much to do today and didn’t have time to even look at Teek. She offered to refer us to her other location across town. I said «this is why we switched vets» and walked out. We ended up going to Desert Inn animal hospital and they we great.
Heed my words– don’t give this vet your business. The owner seems like she doesn’t care about animals. East Charleston has been much better for us.

I came to this hospital because my dog wasn’t feeling well and we happened to be on that particular side of town. I was really impressed with Dr. Van Der Walt and the rest of the staff! The doctor was patient and knowledgable which means a lot to me. My little one is over her tummy issues and I couldn’t be more grateful. Thank you!

Very accommodating to my last minute request. The office is very nice and the receptionist is very friendly! The wait time was very short compared to most vets I have been to. The doctor was very patient with my concern and answered all of my questions. They also make sure to discuss all of the costs up front before services rendered. My kitty ended up not needing anything additional to the exam and I appreciated that I did not feel hustled (which is rare in las vegas.)

I have been taking my dog there for about 5 years. Joy has left not so sure I’m going to continue because I trusted her.

I’d walked into another vet office for a first time visit. Needless to say it took them forever to acknowledge my presence and then the front desk girl was snippy and rude. I immediately walked out and drove around til I found Paradise. Perfect name for this little office. The staff is amazing from the front desk to the attendants, and Dr D was professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Do yourself a favor. Don’t shop around. You won’t find any place better than Paradise.

I wish I could give one hundred stars!!! I have used Dr. D off and on for the last 30 years. The only reason I stopped going was he is not close to my house anymore. Well I have learned my lesson the hard way and will drive however long it takes to see him. You can rest assured your animal is in good trusting hands! AND that is peace of mind worth the world!!!

Been here twice as a new customer. The first time was a last minute minor emergency in which we got right in & the second was for a recheck & shots. We were well taken care of and happy with everything. Never had to wait more than a couple minutes and the whole staff was knowledgeable & friendly. We will be lifelong customers!

Today was my first time coming in, and I was very satisfied! Joy the receptionist was very kind and helpful. Dr. D was great ! He took care of my cat Carley. He was very caring and personable. I will definitely be coming here from now on!
They offer free exam for new clients which I thought it was pretty cool! The vet tech (I’m sorry I forgot her name) but she was great! The whole team was great!

Far and away the best vet in town. Dr. Dolginoff is kind, caring, compassionate and of course very knowledgable. He takes time to get to know you and your pet, asks questions, listens and addresses all your concerns. I’ve also used them for boarding and grooming and would recommend all of their services.
The office staff is always kind and helpful. The facility itself is state of the art with a large waiting area and exam rooms. They keep it clean at all times — I’ve honestly never seen the place dirty! I love that you never have to wait to be seen — no overbooking happens here. It’s centrally located and pretty much no more than a 20 minute drive from anywhere in the valley.
The bottom line is that you will not find a better vet or facility in Las Vegas. My family has been going to him for years and we wouldn’t go anywhere else. We love Dr. D!!!

Just got a new dog Mini. Needed a vet and these people are amazing. Great loving care. The Dr. and staff are the best. Got shots and a spay done. Highly recommend.

Hands-​down the best veterinary clinic in Las Vegas. No matter where we have lived in the valley we continue to go to this location because of their extensive knowledge and friendly staff. We have two small breed dogs and a cat. They have all spend time here for medical reasons and for boarding.
Our dogs absolutely love the staff here. One great thing about boarding is that even when the business is closed they still have staff taking care of the animals. One of our dogs was losing its eyesight and thanks to our veterinarian who recommended an eye specialist she now has her vision restored. Couldn’t be happier

I have taken several pets to this location over many years, always nice and friendly service, never a problem.

Dr. Mark Dolginoff and the staff at Paradise Pet Hospital are awesome! We really liked the doctor’s personality and the staff’s professionalism.
Travel with a dog to other countries that have a stricter regulation like Japan can be a challenge, and many vets just refuse to give a health certificate for that purpose — because not only the paperwork is a hassle but they don’t want to assume the liability when something goes wrong.
That just happened to us. Since Dr. Christina Allala left Siena Animal Hospital, we totally got lost at the subject. We visited many vets with 4 to 5 stars found here on Unilocal,to no avail.
We are no amateur — we’ve done this many times when we lived in California. We know exactly what we need to do, and usually «instruct» a vet. But even so, all vets we saw in Vegas just simply said they couldn’t do it and would tell us another name who «might» do it — until we found Paradise Pet Hospital.
We’ve just gotten this done today: had health check, filled out forms, wrote a check amount of $ 121 to USDA (btw it’s been constantly raised– it was like $ 24 in 2006), then packaged everything with rabies vaccination certificate, FAVN report (rabies titer), a return envelope and sent to the USDA APHIS office in Sacramento, CA.
We’re supposed to receive back everything certified by USDA in 48 hours, so it’s a bit too early to write this review, but I wanted to share our happy experience with the doctor and staff here.

Love Dr. D and his staff. My dog Kaylee went in for dental cleaning on Thursday September 4^th, 2014. They discovered a lump in her mouth and offered to remove it. They said they could save me money by doing it while she was under for the teeth cleaning. They also had a special for dental cleaning since the month of September is dental care month for animals. So already he was saving me money, which many businesses try to do the opposite.
When we got home with Kaylee, we also noticed that he didn’t just clean her teeth and remove the lump, he trimmed her nails, brushed her out, gave us a goodie bag with treats, medicine, and more.
However most impressive was the phone call the next morning. Dr. D called the next day to inquire how Kaylee was.
I absolutely love Paradise Pet Hospital and rave about them to anyone who will listen.

Do not go here!!! They cut my dogs tail!
I have never written a review on Unilocal until this experience. So this is a big deal for me.
I brought my dog here to get groomed. Dropped the guy off at 11am and the groomer told me maybe 2 – 3 hrs and he should be done, but she was going to call and let me know. «Sounds good just let me know» I say. 4 hours later I finally call and ask for an update, well after a long drawn out conversation from the groomer she finally gets to why he is not ready. SHE CUT THE TIP OF HIS TAIL ALMOST OFF! WTF! I go in and ask to see him, they tell me the Vet want to take a look at him, okay, sounds reasonable. I understand these things can happen, I’m sure it was an accident. So I wait and wait… finally they tell me the Vet has other appointments and she will see him when she can. They tell me they will call when he is ready.
It’s now 5:50pm and no call… I call them since they close at 6:00 and ask if he is ready, «he sure is, come and get him»…(thanks for the call once again!)
I’m rambling on and on so I will get to the point. This place has incompetent groomers, secretaries and vets. Do not go through what we just did, stay away.
To be fair the groomer apologized and offered a free bath when he needs it, well thanks but I’m not letting you touch our dog again.

Our family has been going to this veterinary clinic for over 30 years. Wonderful staff, clean and caring. We love Dr. Dolginoff and recommend him for your pets needs.
And as a side note, they have been in business for years, not all the years at this location. So for people who feel the need to correct my information, please don’t. Thanks.

I knew that as soon as I walked into Paradise Pet Hospital, I was in good hands. The facility is very clean and welcoming, very unlike any other pet hospital I have ever been to.
I called on short notice because my dog became ill with bloody diarrhea and vomiting. I worried that it might be Parvovirus, so I called and asked if I could bring her in at that minute to be seen. The receptionist set me up for an appointment within 30 minutes after I had called. I wasn’t expecting that. After filling out my paperwork, I was promptly given a room and barely had to wait to get service. Everything was quick and easy. Turns out my dog had colitis. Doctor Gockerman explained everything to me clearly and at the end of my visit explained in detail how to treat my dog. She is very nice and professional. You can tell she loves what she does.
I would definitely recommend this place to any of my friends and will be taking my dog back to get spayed.
