Pico Madama

The first time I made an appointment here, the experience with awful. The stylist (who is no longer employed there), butchered my cut. I went in to get it fixed and the lady that fixed it kept telling me she couldn’t believe the way the other stylist cut my hair. It took months and months for my hair to grow enough to where my hair was back to normal. Anyway, I gave the salon another chance and had a good experience with the next stylist. I continued seeing her for a few times, but unfortunately she didn’t ever give me the type of cut I asked for, even after many visits. I called the salon to make an appointment and the receptionist, I believe his name was Johnny, suggested making an appointment with Jeff. I asked whether it would be weird for me to book with a different stylist, he said that people do it often and it would not be an issue. I went to my appointment with Jeff and was so excited to get my hair done. When I sat in the chair, he then proceeded to tell me that he didn’t feel comfortable doing my hair because I had seen other stylists in the salon, and I was completely ignored by the stylist that had done my hair the previous times. I was quite shocked at the lack of professionalism. When I made my appointment, again, I was told this wouldn’t be an issue, in fact, I was actually suggested by the receptionist to make an appointment with Jeff.
After I left the salon, without getting my hair done of course, I received a call later that same day from the receptionist. He asked me how everything went. I proceeded to tell him about the bad experience I had. He apologized and said that he would have the owner call me. The owner never called me. It baffles me that a salon would not care to lose a customer. What baffles me the most however, is the audacity of the stylist to tell me he didn’t know whether he felt comfortable doing my hair because i’d seen other stylists. The reason why I had seen a total of 2 stylists in that salon is because the first one completely screwed up my hair, which I should not need to explain to him.
I would not recommend.

I got the haircut and style with partial highlights and a healthy color conditioning treatment deal from Groupon and had everything done by Asaf this past Saturday morning.
It is not often that I walk out loving my color but Asaf got the color perfect! I showed him a photo of what I wanted (subtle, thin, & warm caramel highlights on dark brown hair) and he got it perfect!
The haircut was also great. I asked for long layers and he was very meticulous with making sure the length was even on both sides and didn’t cut off more than we discussed. I, like most people, HATE stylists that go scissor happy and cut off 2 — 3x more than you asked for.
The salon was clean and modern, they offered water as soon as I sat down and checked back while I was waiting for my highlights. Having moved from NYC where I had the opportunity to frequent the top salons at a steep discount (thank you Lifebooker!), I have high standards for both quality of service & value and this place definitely delivered with the $ 85 groupon deal even with the 20% tip ($ 35) I gave on the actual value ($ 175) of the services.
Overall, a good experience and glad I went but a few things to note that keep it from 5 stars for me:
1) I had asked approximately how long it would take for all the services prior to booking my appointment and was told approx. 2 hours. In actuality, it was just about 3 hours even though we started on time. A 15, 20, maybe even 30 minute variance – not worth noting in my opinion. An hour? Worth noting. Luckily, not a big deal for me that day since it was a Saturday and the only thing I had to do after was meet up with friends who were visiting so while it was a slight inconvenience to rearrange my plans with them. However, just keep that in mind if you have solid plans after.
2) The Groupon specifically stated it included a style but in actuality, only a rough blow dry is included and they actually specifically do NOT include any sort of styling. For example, when I asked him to simply use the rounded brush to blow my ends so they curl in slightly as opposed to my ends being pin straight, he said it is not included in the Groupon. Again, not a big deal but would have been nice to know in advance and/​or simply do not note that «styling» is included in the Groupon if it is not. It is still a good deal without styling but falsely stating something in an ad or offer harms far more than it could help in attracting and retaining customers. Nothing wrong with stating only a «rough blow dry» is included and specifically note that they will blow your hair dry completely but not style it as many NY salons do.
3) It was a good value with the Groupon (considering this is Vegas) but definitely not worth the $ 175 normal price + tip aka over $ 200 for what I got done. If they had ongoing specials for locals /​repeat customers, I would consider frequenting this place but at their current prices – it is still more worth it for me to hold out till the next time I head back to NYC to visit friends.

I was very nervous about this appointment! I had grown my hair out from a bad cut and it was bleached and dried out. I needed help! Upon entering I was immediately put at ease. The Staff here is warm and reassuring! A modern and beautiful salon. I was seated immediately and offered a mobile silver bar that moved with me to hang my purse on (nice) offered beverages of my choosing. My stylist Asaf was very patient listening to my wishes. He than walked me though what was best for my hair type and my facial features ! I felt very at ease about our decisions! My conversation throughout the process with him was wonderful! My hair not only looked amazing (cut and lo~lites) it felt amazing. I highly recommend this classy salon and you should go to Asaf!

I have been living in Las Vegas for 15 years and never could find anyone to cut and color my curly gray hair. I had been to many hair stylist through out Vegas and when I left I would be sad and crying. Always got gray green or pink beige and purple colors and poodle do cuts. I finally found ASAF at Pico Madama. I am so happy now. I have been back twice. He gave me the perfect blonde with the undertone of a rich brown and the cutest cut. He is excellent, knows what he’s doing. So sweet and caring about what you want. The BEST. Will follow him everywhere now. It is nice to know that I can depend on one hair stylist now… ASAF Also the Salon was really clean and beautiful. Very nice staff.

Amazingly yes yes yes. First of all everybody is super super friendly, classy and very welcoming. The owner, Belli, a Beautiful addition to my whole experience.
My first appointment was with Megan. Well she was the first and very probably will be the last. Amazing
Service and let me tell you this girl is super talented.
She was able to fix my color and cut (of course somebody else screw up) in matter of no time. I could not believe what I was seeing. Sooo happy. She guided me with great products as well. Truly impressed.
From now on I will not do anything without Megan’ s opinion. Thank you Pico Madama. Keep up the super awesome job and I will be devotedly yours.

After 10 years going to the same hairstylist I was scared to try someone new! So glad I did! My hair looks great and the experience was wonderful!

All I can say is Jeff did wonders for my dull lifeless hair. If you want fabulous hair go see Jeff ~^*^~

I got a great haircut from Jeff. He was meticulous and took plenty of time to make sure everything was right. He obviously knows what he is doing and as we talked, he told me about his extensive training.
The salon is clean and pleasant enough. I have gotten haircuts there in the past, but Jeff was by far the best.

My daughter had hair that passed her waist but she developed a horrible knot that ultimately led to me chopping half of her hair off. She walked into the salon determined not to cut the rest. Jeff made her feel safe and did not pressure at all. She finally let him cut it after the treatment and it looked AMAZING.
Beli did my hair and it turned out better than I expected. I recommend them 100%

Jeff is one of the best stylists I’ve ever had do my hair. (And he has some serious credentials too…) I have challenging hair — it’s very curly, and there’s a whole lot of it. Jeff handled my hair perfectly, and it looks AMAZING now. Beautiful salon, great service, friendly, and luxurious. They even brought my girlfriend and I champagne! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I’ve been coming here for close to 2 years and have never been more satisfied with my hair services. Jeff is by far one of the most experienced and skilled stylists here. He always leaves my hair looking healthy, strong, and shiny.
The atmosphere of the salon in great as well; bright colors, gorgeous bubble chandelier… I could spend all day here if you let me. It is a little pricey, so be prepared to drop around $ 90 for a cut, but I promise you, it’s worth it if you go with Jeff.

Jeff has great customer service!
I came in for a partial highlight, he was very detailed and I did not feel rushed at any moment. I asked for a red highlight, however, the color must’ve not liked my hair bc it came off after a week. I called back, they made an appointment for me to go back immediately. Jeff still greeted me with smiles and apologized with the loss of color and changed to a darker red shade color for my hair, and it did stayed on my hair better. He also explained to me sometimes the brighter reds are harder to stay on the hair. The second time around, he did not charge me!
I’ve bought their Phyto product and really liked it. I highly recommend Jeff! :-)

I went back to the salon after one of the owners contacted me after he read my review about my experience. I was very impressed that he even took the time and trouble to address my concerns, so much so that I decided to give them another chance. Per their recommendation, I made my appointment with Beli, one of the owners and stylists. I brought in some photos of the cut and color that I was interested in. She looked at the photos and explained to me what she would be doing to achieve the result I wanted. She also told me how long each step would take and even gave me an amazing scalp treatment accompanied with a eucalyptus eye cover.
The receptionist offered me a beverage and kept me well hydrated throughout my appointment. It was a much better experience than I had before, especially since Beli explained everything that was going to be done in great detail. She also made sure I was comfortable during my appointment and was very pleasant and friendly. I’m so glad that they contacted me and asked me to come back for a «do over». Beli and Scott are very responsible and more importantly, caring business owners and a pleasure to do business with. I will definitely be back.

I had my hair cut here just before Thanksgiving and it was the best hair cut I have ever had. I always have gone to upscale salons so my comparison is with other upscale salons. I am new to Vegas and I chose this place to get my hair cut due to the amazing reviews on here and I made a good choice. I don’t review a lot but had to review for this place.
My hair stylist was Jeff. He was awesome. He spent a lot of extra time that he didn’t have to and made sure each hair was perfect. I have had similar cuts to the one I received but this time it was just cut better. It has been 6 weeks since my hair cut but it is still amazing. I will definitely be choosing Jeff to continue cutting me hair in the future!

I got red high lights here, and every time I sweat or got my hair wet it dripped red on my clothes and towel. I had red high lights done before and this is the first time it happened. I don’t understand all the good reviews here. I looked at many of them and they look like fake ones because they only reviewed one store!!!
I went there at 9am in the morning when they were not busy. But the stylist did not pay attention to the job. As she’s cutting my hair, a lady came over and started sweeping the floor, she would use the broom to touch my leg and sweep my leg as well. I am not sure why they do that there. The hair cut was not that great too.
This is by far the worst salon experience I have had.
I WILL NEVER GO BACK AGAIN!

I’m new to Las Vegas and after spending months of searching for a great salon, I have finally found a winner! Brianna is the best! I am usually afraid of dying my hair or cutting it because I have had horrible experiences in the past but she did exactly what I wanted and 1000X better!
Plus, the products they use are amazing. I typically do not buy my hair care products directly from the salon but they use a line called phyto and it did wonders to what I thought was irreparable hair. So, of course I had to have it so my hair always looks like I just came from the salon!
I definitely recommend this salon! Best in Vegas!

This place is fantastic! Welcoming, friendly, beautifully decorated with gorgeous orchids and clean as a whistle. And best of all the color and cut were outstanding.
I was warmly greeted upon entering and Beli, the owner introduced me to my stylist, Brianna. I showed her some photo’s of what I wanted my color and cut to look like and she examined my hair for compatibility, pointing out what would work. We looked thru the color swatches to combine for highlights. I wanted subtle, and too often do not get what I ask for. Brianna nailed it and with a rich chestnut brown base and brown-​red highlights. I asked for color blocked highlight and she exceeded my expectations. She is a true artist, not just a stylist. It is slightly more expensive then your average salon, but totally worth it! Beli gave me some product samples, which I really appreciated. Don’t hesitate… make an appointment!

This is my first Unilocal review and I have to give it to Pico Madama.
I just moved to Vegas and PM is just 10 minutes from my house, that really helps!
I’m Asian with jet black long hair. I tried coloring from other stylists before and they never get it right. I pretty much have given up. I met a friend who had her hair done by Beli at PM. She is Asian and she highly recommended Beli.
I’m in my 30’s and my wedding is coming up in December. So Beli suggested that I try coloring now so that I have time to see if the colors would need any tweaking. I feel like Beli genuinely wanted me to be happy with the colors.
I just got my hair done by Beli yesterday and I cannot tell you how satisfied I was with the result. Perfection!!! I’m not the dramatic kind but I was smiling from ear to ear and giving everyone a hug. Beli gave me a full highlight without bleaching my hair and then lifted the tone of my hair with Ash base (I hope I’m getting this right, anyway, Beli has all the notes about my colors). I wanted something classy, modern and she delivered!
After coloring, Zena gave me a hair cut. She definitely knows her things! With minimal communication, she knew exactly what I wanted. She told me about the plan and confirmed with me throughout the process. I felt comfortable and oh man, what a great hair stylist she is! Fast cut and precise. Also, what a genuine, sweet person she is. I love her!
I must mention that I got married 1 month ago here in Vegas and Jeff gave me an updo. He was meticulous, professional and awesome.
Also, I give 5 star to the customer service and environment. I love the French music in the background. It makes me happy. :)
Well worth the money and i will come back for sure.

A little mishap in the beginning with ordering the hair for extensions but what a turn around with Crystal at the front desk!
Crystal kept me calm and truly elevated my first experience with Pico M. She was creative and quick on her feet in fixing my hair order dilemma and now I will be able to make the flight with my new hair ;)
Crystal also impressed me with her knowledge of hair care with the extensions which truly amazed me especially for working the front desk. Thank you Crystal and Letty for doing all that it takes to please a difficult guest like me ;)

I am impressed with the quality and efficiency of this salon. I badly needed a trim and style, as my shaggy locks were definitely screaming «fix me!» So, after a quick call, I scheduled a last-​minute appointment and away I went. The salon is very clean and boasts a «Beautyscope Hair Health Assessment» as well as a trademark «Scalp Facial,» both of which sounds really interesting and informative. Every part of my haircut, from shampoo to cut to style, was professional and personable, and I left the salon feeling fantastic. My stylist recommended that I get layers to give my hair volume; I was cool with that and yes, my hair DOES have more body now. Looks great too!
Tip: if you have a groupon or other discount that you’d like to use, speak up upon arriving. I neglected to do so and wasn’t able to use mine. My bad. However, that means I’ll have to visit again for another luxurious session.
