PFC Training was born from Progressive F.O.R.C.E. Concepts and is the primary instructional arm of the PFC Group of Companies. Our mission is a simple one: To Save Lives. The guiding principles on this journey are unrelenting self-​assessment, an ever-​evolving curriculum, and stress-​proven solutions based on simpler alternatives. In June of 2006, Steve assumed the full-​time role as Director of Progressive F.O.R.C.E. Concepts, which included service as a Team Leader and Protection Agent for domestic and international Protective Security Details. He currently provides instruction, consultation, and protective services on a continuous basis to various Government agencies, Fortune 100 corporations, and private organizations worldwide.

I had very limited amount of time on a gun before my first training day with PFC. I mean, I went to a range a handful of times over the timespan of 11 years.
I’ve done the CCW class, a fundamentals class a few times, and the Progressive Handgun 2 – 5 courses within maybe four months, and though I’m still new to it, I find myself being able to hold my own with a pistol among people that have had many years experience than me. That’s not to say that I’ve been doing better or just as well, but for what I lack in experience, I’m gaining ground at a pretty rapid pace underneath these instructors.
If your idea of range time is just standing in front of a target and plinking away, most of PFC’s training is not for you. The introductory and CCW classes are a good gateway to the rest of the classes. There are classes that drill different exercises that include fighting positions, using barricades, movement under fire, low light, and handgun retention during engagements.
If you come to these courses with an ego, it will be extra challenging because these courses and instructors are ever evolving, and you might be forced to challenge what you thought you already knew.

Simply the best instructors, offering the best curriculum in the industry. I have been training with PFC for several years now, and each class gives me valuable skills and information, even if I have take the class before. They present their material in a straightforward, easy to digest manner to produces competence faster than any program I have ever seen. I can’t recommend this company enough.

I attended PFC’s Handgun 2 yesterday and can’t recommend them highly enough. Las Vegas is lucky to have them here as local trainers and I encourage anyone interested in high quality firearms and combatives training to seek them out.
I’ve attended numerous classes from PFC ranging from Handgun 1 & 2 to Small Knife Skills with Chris Fry (Great instructor from NY). Along the way I’ve attended several of their 4 hour refresher clinics and would recommend attending those to keep your skills up between more formal shooting classes.
I’ve had the opportunity to train with PFC’s Mike Barnhart and Brian Hartman on multiple occasions and both of them stand out amongst their peers in the training community. They bring their own individual expertise, knowledge, experiences and humor along with a degree of professionalism that makes for a truly awesome training experience.
