Prudhomme Law Office

Husband is originally from Germany, and we decided that it was about time to file for citizenship. We had used Mr. Prudhomme years ago to renew my husband’s green card, which was done exceptionally well and with little effort on our part.
Filing for citizenship out the door was 1500. While we could save money and do it ourselves, this is something you don’t want to mess up. Mr. Prudhomme has been doing this for decades, so he knows what to do and how to do it.
Although 1500 bucks doesn’t seem like alot, i explained to him that we didn’t want to drain that much out of savings all at once, so he offered a payment plan which he didn’t have to, at no additional cost.
The process is not done yet, so I will update after everything is finished, but so far we have nothing but good things to say about Mr. Prudhomme.
While I can understand why someone would think he’s rude when it came down to the free consultation and price quote (he was a little baffled when I said 1500 was alot of money) I just think it’s his character. I don’t feel he means to be rude, but immigration lawyers are not cheap, and the prices are significantly less than other places (MIL used a different lawyer to renew her green card and was charged nearly double what my husband was) so I didn’t take his remarks personally, but it can be a little insulting if you take it at more than face value.
Overall I highly recommend him.

This man is completely incompetent. He does not let you speak, insults you for no reason whatsoever, and does not seem to understand what’s going half the time. What he calls a free consultation is his way of getting you in the door, just to inform you that he won’t answer any questions you have without $ 1,500.00. In his words, «it’s just money» and shouldn’t be a problem if you’re «serious» about needing help. I cannot stress this enough: stay away from this rude, insulting, rambling old man.
