Red Rock Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Centre has been accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC) in April 2012 which demonstrates our commitment to providing a safe and comfortable facility that exceeds our patient’s expectations!

Mark Degen, DDS, MD has been treating patients at Red Rock Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Centre since 2003. Safety and Comfort for our patients is paramount as IV sedation is an integral part of our practice to

alleviate anxiety and pain while providing outstanding care related to the removal of teeth, including impacted wisdom teeth and restoring missing teeth through the placement of dental implants that are affordable to most patients. Dr. Mark Degen is Board Certified and licensed as a physician and dental specialist in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.

Established in 2003.

Dr. Mark Degen completed dental school at NYU in New York City and completed medical school and surgical residency in New Orleans, Louisiana in 2003. He arrived in Las Vegas shortly afterward where he began his practice at Red Rock Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Centre.

Dr. Mark I. Degen was born in Brooklyn, New York. He attended New York University College of Dentistry where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1997. Upon completing dental school, Dr. Degen went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana. After graduation, he completed a year of General Surgery at the Medical Center of Louisiana. Dr. Degen finished his residency training at LSU in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2003. Dr. Degen has achieved outstanding academic and clinical distinction in both medical and dental schools as evidenced by his numerous honors including membership in the dental honor society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon and eligibility to the medical honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha.

He received extensive training in dentoalveolar, dental implant, facial cosmetic, trauma and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Degen has lived in New York City, New Orleans, and recrelocated to Las Vegas in 2003

Dr. Mark Degen and his staff are top-​notch in every area. Dr. Degen took a lot of time explaining my procedure and followed up after surgery. His staff went the extra mile to accommodate my schedule and to be sure that I was comfortable on procedure day. My results were great. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Degen and his entire team. They are several steps above the rest.

DO NOT GO HERE! 0 stars if I could! On the phone (the girl had attitude) prior to consultation they told me to come in for a consult and that they could take my wisdom teeth out the next morning. I had to change around my entire schedule and get a sitter to go to the consultation. I was waiting One hour! Even after the other patients had left I was still waiting the only one in the waiting room. Some of the girls who worked there gave me dirty looks too. I finally got in and they did the X-​ray and charged my card for the co-​pay (which tells me they don’t know how to bill insurance since I have two insurances. but whatever I paid it cus im in pain and want these dang teeth out.) Then they proceed to tell me ok we can take u in the 16th wtf! they had told me the next day on the phone and I explained that to her she still said she couldn’t do anything I said I want my money back this is bs and she said oh ok ur card wasn’t even charged. I called the office manager when I left and told her about my experience she was nicer and more accommodating was gonna get me in Monday but I already found another dr. The only thing she said was oh sometimes clients get mad and come back saying im sorry I was in pain. umm no its because ur office is incompetent. Will never be returning.

What a great experience! I was so scared to get my four wisdom teeth out, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Dr. Degen and his entire staff are all truly wonderful people and go above and beyond to do all they can for you. The surgery went perfectly and I haven’t had any problems. They have all been so helpful throughout my entire recovery. I am so happy I went here! I will definitely recommend Dr. Degen to all my friends and family!

Recently I was in need of oral surgery and was referred to Dr. Degen’s office.
I was greeted as I walked in and treated as though I was family or a very close friend. The entire staff treated me this way and I felt so comfortable being there. Dr. Degen is a very kind and compassionate man and the work he did was beyond outstanding! I never felt the slightest pain.
The entire experience was wonderful and everyone on staff was also very professional and efficient.
If you are in need of an oral surgeon, this is definitely the place to go. Exceptional !!!

Dr. Degen extracted my four wisdom teeth and the experience has been nothing but impeccable! Red Rock Oral deserves more than 5 stars! The energy in this office is warm and welcoming. (it is also decorated with love and they have free wifi!)
Everyone works with incredible efficiency. I left my surgery hugging the assistants! I came back to my follow up appointment and felt like family! Doctor Degen and his wonderful staff truly care about their patients and that is what makes this office the #1 oral and maxillofacial surgery center in Nevada!

i was referred to Dr. Mark Degen by my dentist. cuz i need to pull my wisdom tooth .
but they change my appointment 2 times. one time call me 1 hour early said cant do it today, so appointment me 2 weeks later. than after 2 weeks i went to office 20 mins early and wait for 1 hour but said cant do it again. they said appointment too full. so some how i wait for 1 month to try to pull wisdom tooth out with very big pain, but still have not done yet. BYE BYE. i am done with u. i am going to find other surgery centre. maybe they do not know how bad when wisdom tooth is hurt as a doctor. JUST DO NOT GO THIS PLACE. THEY WONT TREAT U RIGHT

I wanted to take a second to write a review about Dr. Degen along with his office staff. What a stressful time it was dealing with a double failed root canal, and after a few visits with a few different doctors, I was able to get different opinions, but I decided to come back to Dr Degen for treatment. I felt as if he was most honest, very confident and I never once felt rushed, he answered all my questions and concerns. I had previous nerve issues and honestly just felt scared to have any more dental work done. He made my fears become so calm and I just trusted that he would do his absolute best! I got teeth 31 & 32 extracted and both my top wisdom teeth removed all in one visit. His office manager Cory is fantastic and was very helpful from the beginning, even after 50 questions… the front and back office was super friendly, helpful and always smiling. I’m sure it makes for a great place to work and as a patient I would most definitely return in the future if needed. I have found a wonderful office and just pleased with my decision to have chosen him as my doctor– Post care was just as great of experience and would highly recommend there office! Very clean office too! :)

I was referred to Dr. Mark Degen by my dentist, who suggested that something I was concerned about be looked at by an oral surgeon.
I loved the look of the office, which is decorated a la New Orleans, complete with wrought-​iron gate instead of a door leading to the treatment rooms. And there’s wifi, which too many medical offices still don’t offer.
I interacted with a number of staff members, and was really impressed with how über friendly every single one of them was.
The most important part of my three visits was Dr. Degen, who is very personable and very competent. I had a biopsy taken, and chose to have only topical anesthetic. This required several injections, but they weren’t unbearably painful, even though I have a low tolerance for pain; Dr. Degen administered the injections with a light touch. Lucky for me, everything was fine and don’t need to return, but I highly recommend Dr. Degen and his staff.

I work in the Dental field so you think that I would not be nervous FALSE! After having 1 wisdom tooth removed many many years ago and having severe pain after I was very reluctant to have the other 3 removed. After constant years of pain I finally decided to have the 3 remaining removed. Dr Degen was a true professional! I had minor aches and pain after the procedure. I would definitely recommend Dr Degen and his staff. By far a great experience before and after.

I was referred to this office from my primary dentist for 4 extractions. This office is a distance from my house but, I had faith the information for my consultation would be good. I arrived early which was good so I can fill out the paper work. They must have been backed up because the waiting room was packed and they didn’t call me in until 2:30 and I was told to be there at 1:45 and on their books 2:10. The staff seemed nice. I met with the doctor and he just asked me a few questions regards to health questions I answered and showed me the teeth that was recommended to be extracted and what he thinks. We are going with 3 since one has not given me trouble and because of my age and close to a nerve in jaw line. I did not get a chance to ask him any questions. Every review I read and from the staff they say he is a great doctor and if anything should go wrong they are set up Ambulatory site to work on things (im in good hands) Im still freaken nervous! or should I say scared! I am supposed to go in for my surgery August 19. If all goes well I will give my review.

It has been a week since my 13 year daughter had 2 wisdom teeth removed and is recovering great. Dr. Degan is very knowledgable, sincere, explained everything and provided fantastic service not only to my daughter but my husband as well. My daughter told me the nurse, Dr. Degan’s assistant comforted her while she was nervous before the procedure. :) Dr. Degan and his staff are wonderful and I would most definitely recommend Dr. Degan to family and friends. I will be taking my daughter back in 2 years for her next procedure :|

I had a surgery scheduled and waited over two and a half hours to be called back. By that time I was so stressed, my blood pressure was high and Dr. Degen decided not to proceed. I had already paid for the procedure. I will not go back due the ridiculous wait. Now, I am unable to get a refund from him. They said the mailed me a check but nothing was in the envelope except a letter. Inexcusable! They also charged my insurance for the procedure that was not performed! Fraud or incompetence? I would not send anyone there.

My wife recently had 4 wisdom teeth and a cyst removed near her sinus cavity a few weeks ago 4÷1÷13. Today is 4÷19÷13 and her recovery is great! No unusual pain and her sinuses are fine. She did develop a dry socket which was causing great pain a few days into it and the staff (including the Dr) had great bedside manners and customer service. They just scheduled an appointment to check it out and remedy the issue immediately. Then she had her 1 week follow up, and now she’s doing fine. We didn’t have insurance to cover the cost but their cost is comparable to others in the valley, however I believe this place is well worth the price. Do I recommend coming to this oral surgeon? YES and my wife would also!
