SEA: The Thai Experience

Sea Thai should be renamed Wow Thai. For starters we ordered chicken Satey and chicken & shrimp steam dumplings. For main course we ordered shrimp jungle curry and ginger scallops. None of the main course comes with rice, we have to order that separate. Food was simply fabulous, just right amount of spices. Veggies were real crisp announcing their freshness and scallops were tender and sweet. Proper service was a major accompaniment. Ambience was very nice, simplest furniture with modern take. Highly recommended. Little pricey though. I would recommend buying a dinner coupon at Tix4tonight, cost $ 2 each person for 30% discount on the entire bill.

Very nice ambiance here. On my first visit was a little date night but I loved the food so much I had my birthday there. There’s a private room that you can reserve. Seated 15 of us. Food is tasty and authentic.
They even have a water feature that goes through the middle of the restaurant.

Not bad. Although the decorations portay tranquility, but the ambience is far from tranquil. Noise level is medium high. Not a fine dining. Food is meh… even the chef special. We have an okay experience except when a server talked while standing closely between me and my husband. His saliva spray onto our faces and to our drinks. We asked for another drinks. He brought the drinks and food and talked to us while holding them under his mouth… yuckkk … Helpless… I didn’t want to hurt his feeling by telling him but at the same time… Yaiiikkksss…

My girlfriend and I ended up here after I bought a groupon and we were both surprised at how good the food was and everything we had was excellent and just the best flavors and cooked to perfection. We had a seat next to the water and the Buddha and it was a little loud but the atmosphere and the food were beyond our expectations and will be going back.

If we had stopped eating after our appetizers, I would have given this place 5 stars! Both of our appetizers were off– the — charts yummy! They have the best crab Rangoon I’ve ever tasted… and the chili jam added another dimension of great to the plate! We also got the honey walnut shrimp, which was amazing!
Then came the short ribs, which really had an amazing flavor, but they were dry and there was quite a bit of grissle to cut off.
Next came the holy basil seafood, which had a nice amount of good seafood and basil in it, but no remarkable flavor. The menu states that it has a spicy basil sauce, but it was not spicy at all. It was very bland.
Also, worth mentioning is that nothing comes with rice. They charge you extra if you want rice, which I found strange, considering that their menu items are pretty pricey to begin with.
All in all, it was a fun evening, since we stopped in to see the dueling piano show on our way out, but I don’t think I would make a special trip back there for the food.

I mainly eat home made Thai from the wife or in-​laws so I only once in a while go out the house to eat it. An when I do, I never have high expectations. This place rock from the waiters to the whole look and feel of the restaurant. The food was amazing. Little on the pricey side for me to become a regular but I will be back.

Good décor and decent Thai food. Saw it on Groupon and decided to try it out. The ambiance was similar to a miniature version of TAO, the Tom Tom seafood was spot on. Satay chicken skewer and fried calamari was sublime. Unfortunately my favorite dish pad se ew was under-​seasoned and generally underwhelming. It overall a good dining experience.

Pretty bitchin seating area! Came here for lunch on our last day and it was delicious. My boyfriend had the geyser prawns and I had a peanut soy noodle. We both got appetizers to share, ginger calamari and chicken lettuce wraps. We also ordered a pitcher of green tea and it was some of the best green tea I’ve had. It tasted so fresh.

We had a very nice experience here for dinner!
It was date night and my hottie brought me here for din din. We got a Groupon Voucher to suit our budget. Made a reservation on Opentable and was seated right away when we got there. The interior décor of the restaurant was amazing, very zen with a small koi pond, and floating lotus flowers. There was a small bamboo swing and buddha statues situated throughout the restaurant. The whole feel was very tranquil and peaceful.
Our waitress was very nice and explained some of the specials to us. We ordered 2 dishes to share, the prices are a bit expensive but it’s to be expected for a high end place on the strip. The food was pretty good, and the service was attentive. I really just like the whole vibe of this place.
Bathrooms are outside of the restaurant in the casino. It’s bit of a walk to the restaurant from the parking structure. Overall, I would recommend this place!

OH man, perhaps it’s because I went to Thailand for 3 weeks this summer and I’m spoiled, but this just was not good. It wasn’t even good for cheap Thai and it was PRICEY.
I got the Drunken Noodles and they were a sticky, gooey mess. The portion was teeny and at $ 25 I wish I had more.
The ambiance is dark and quiet and it’s quite hard to see the menu.

Food was good but didn’t knock my socks off. Wouldn’t have eaten here had we not had a groupon. But service was good and ambiance/​décor is beautiful.

I was surprised by the 3.5 ratings. I am thinking the spice level is what people are not liking. The food quality was great, excellent authentic flavors which were on the high spicy side. The place has great ambiance as well.

Had the Sticky Lemongrass Chicken. Expectation that it would be standard lemongrass chicken in pieces on top of cooked veggies with thick sticky sauce. It was marinated chicken on the bone.
Goofy presentation… hot chicken on top of a cold salad, next to runny sauce, Why? Empty eggshell resting in a slice of cucumber, Why? Runny sauce did have a nice flavor but nothing sticky about it.
Price online for this dish was $ 20. At restaurant it was $ 26. Service was attentive for water refill, wait staff was nice but was somehow lacking, waited for the check for a while. Only saw main server once to take my order.
It was ok but would not go back.

Geradliniges Ambiente, guter Service und sehr leckeres Essen. Sticky Lemongrass Chicken ist eindeutig zu empfehlen.

This place sucks now!
2 years ago they had a Vietnamese menu with phở, vermicelli, rice plates and bun rieu. They changed their menu and we asked the server about the old menu, he said (in broken English) the chef «went away» (we thought he said «ran away»)… And that’s exactly what we should have done when we heard that there’s a new chef! RUN AWAY NOW!
They still have Vietnamese phở but more Thai now. The WORST phở ever! My sister found a hair AND a bug in her soup! She asked them to take it back and they took forever for another one, she wasn’t hungry after waiting another 30 minutes for phở. My other sister found a hair net in hers but she decided to just eat it. The phở was lukewarm, the broth was salty and since it wasn’t even hot the meat didn’t cook and it stayed raw. My friend asked if they could just microwave her phở for it to be hot and cook the meat, again it took forever. How long does it take to microwave it? The only good dish was the drunken noodles, which wasn’t exactly hot as well. We also got the seafood soup and it was cold, and too sweet. It’s like they let it sit out… I don’t think the chefs in the back are actually chefs, they probably hired a chef school drop out… I mean, phở soup should be hot, not lukewarm.
You probably wondering, why are we getting phở on the strip? And not go to china town… We didn’t have cars and were hungover and SEA is across from our hotel, trust me, paying $ 21 dollars for nasty ass cold phở with hair and bugs was not what we were looking for… This place should close down, it’s a disgrace to Phở restaurants out there. I’m ashamed that I ate this.

Wonderful, calm and relax ambiance. This is my favorite in Las Vegas. It’s located in Balley Hotel and Casino
The atmosphere is really nice and cool. All of the staff are friendly and look wonderful in the modern Thai style.

I really recommend to try Crab meat fried rice. You won’t regret.

We had quite a good experience here! The ambiance is really lovely and perfect for a date. If you can, grab a table beside the fountain and throw a couple pennies in for luck. how fun! Service was friendly and very efficient (we immediately had our drinks refilled without having to ask), and our food arrived quickly.
I personally really enjoyed the food. The highest praise I can give it is that it’s better than your average NYC Thai food. The flavors were perfect and I love how specifically you can control the level of spiciness. I recommend medium, which was ideal for us since we enjoy spicy food but not when it’s overwhelmingly hot. The red curry was outstanding, but I also kept dipping rice into my boyfriend’s prik king, which was equally delicious.
My main gripe is with the cost. Firstly, the menu link hasn’t been updated with the new prices. You should expect to pay somewhere between $ 22-​$ 25 dollars for a typical curry, rice, or noodle dish. Sadly, this doesn’t even include rice which is $ 3 extra for a small plate. The quality is obviously better than a cheaper Thai restaurant but it’s hard to stomach how overpriced this is for noodles and rice. NYC Thai runs you $ 10 a dish on average! The portions of the entrees were decent and we left very full, so at least there’s that. I would recommend this place if you’re not concerned about sticker shock.

So my experience here was in my book…5 stars.
The service was super friendly, and the food was excellent! Sure it’s pricey, but SO WHAT, your in Las Vegas– that’s to be expected. I either put the extra $ 10 bucks towards a delicious meal or give it to a slot and get nothing in return. For me, it’s as simple as that

When you are in the mood for Thai, not much affordable choices around the Strip. The dreaded «resort pricing» applies to Sea: The Thai Experience. A glance at the menu and you would have to pay around $ 22 or pad thai, curry, or fried rice dishes which should be half the price outside the strip.
I ordered the shrimp tom yum for $ 16 which is the best «deal» in the menu and it’s alright, competently done but nothing close to pay an extra $ 5 or more for this dish.
I would only recommend this place if you got comps to use and don’t have a car to drive out.

For a restaurant in Vegas, I was expecting something more over the top. If this were anywhere else I’m sure I’d have different thoughts, but in the city that never sleeps, this seemed as ordinary as any «Best Thai» in the suburbs.
Alright, the prices are still very Vegas. My almost $ 20 pad see ew tasted like many others I have had except it was covered in baby bok choy and adorned with a lemon wedge. The level 4 spice was more of a three and I was in insane eating beast mode to even really care.
I probably would have never seen this place because it is in the back corner of the casino. If it were instead some kind of Thai Las Vegas buffet, then it would definitely be worth the trip inside Bally’s. Since it’s as ordinary as takeout, I suggest you spend your penny slot winnings at a place you can really gorge at.
It was good, but not Vegas good.
