John Ruiz, President, has been in the Tree Care industry for over 30 years! This is a very experienced Company with great and fast service.

Select Services pest control is your best defense against an unwanted infestation of ants, bees, spiders, scorpions, cockroaches, bed bugs, rodents, and even pigeons. Same day service is available. Our treatments are guaranteed to work or we will revisit your property for free.

Established in 2010.

We are the culmination of knowledge and experience of several tree, pest control and plant health care experts. After working together for years in the Las Vegas area, Select Services (Formerly known as Arborscape Tree Care and Pest Free) joined forces.

Select Services Tree Care has been serving the Las Vegas area for over three years. The owner, John Ruiz, has worked in the tree services industry for over 30 years. He is an ISA Certified Arborist and is extremely familiar with vegetation throughout the Las Vegas area. Select Services Pest Control (Formerly Pest Free) has been serving the Las Vegas area since 1988.

It currently holds more certifications and licenses than any other Pest Control and Plant Health Care company in Nevada. In 1988, Pest Free was created and obtained License #2179 from the Department of Agriculture. Scott Mendoza has worked in the Pest Control Industry for over 20 Years!

Business Owner

Scott Mendoza has been the President of PestFree for nearly 20 years. He is a long time resident of Henderson, NV and very familiar with the pests that reside in southern Nevada. Scott not only holds licenses from the Department of Agriculture for pest control and plant health care, but he is also a graduate from UNLV.

John Ruiz has been in the tree care industry for over 30 years, and has developed a strong reputation as an industry leader. John started his career in 1979 with Davey Tree Expert Company as a groundman on a utility line clearing crew for the company’s Nevada Power account. Since then John’s business had escalated and him and Scott came together so create Select Services, a business that does tree care, plant health care and Pest control.

I was throwing a Christmas party at my home and the day before my party I walked around the outside of my home checking things out. I noticed my mesquite trees were more overgrown than I thought. A friend of mine told me to give Johnny at Select Services a call and I did. Johnny was Johnny on the spot and had a crew over to my home the next morning by 7:30. My trees look the best they have looked since I bought the house and the price was great. Select Services and Johnny are good people. I will suggest them to all of my friends. This is an A++++ company!

hard to rate them since they never contacted me back. their website has a form to fill out with all your personal info, name, phone, etc… so i assumed they would get back to me… atleast within a day or so. it’s been 2 weeks and i have yet to here from them. too bad — they had great reviews too. as a result, i was forced to take my business elsewhere.
ps…dont put the option to leave contact info on the website if you’re not planning on using it.

I have had Select Services at my property three different times now. Each time I requested service from them, a different person came to my property. All have been very knowledgeable and friendly. The work performed was top notch. Great prices also! Besides the field crews being helpful, so are the administration/​office staff. Quick proposals and great communication for the work scheduled. I recommend as often as I can!

Excellent job in trimming and clearing a partial fallen tree.
Never received a written quote. Never received a copy of a paid, invoice.
Left an uncomfortable feeling as very poor in the accounting part of the job but excellent in performing the job in a professional, timely, clean manor.

Perry called my husband and I the night before to let us know he had an earlier time available on Saturday so we planned on 8:30 instead of 10 which actually worked out better for us. Perry showed up on time and was very professional. He showed and told my husband and I what kind of treatment for pest control worked best for us and our 2 dogs. He was very courteous and proficient. I have sumac trees that need to be pruned every year. This year I tried Select Services for the first time and they were terrific. Arrived on time, did a great pruning job, finished quickly and cleaned up the mess. And Spencer, the estimator, was very knowledgeable and professional and came to the job site to explain the project to the workers. Excellent service.

I have a rental property that had a big elm tree that had died from renter’s neglect taken out of the front yard. Fitu from Select Services came over and advised me the tree could not be saved. I was quoted a very good price for the tree removal as well as pruning on another big treein the back yard of the same property.
The crew arrived timely as promised and had finished the job within 1.5 hours! They left the driveway and the neighbors driveway clean as a whistle. Very professional job. Afterwards, the next crew arrived to remove the stump and they were done within 1 hour and left the front yard in perfect shape! I highly recommend this company. Very good price and excellent service!

The service we received from Arborscape was incredible. The company sent out a certified arborist to discuss our tree issues. He was very knowledgeable and spent time explaining what pruning and plant health care programs would be best for our yard.
The crew that trimmed our trees was very professional. They made sure not to damage any other landscaping and cleaned up after they were done. Our yard was cleaner after they left than it was when they arrived.
I will gladly use Arborscape again.
