My daughter goes here for her speech. The therapist gets her late majority of the time for her 30 minutes session so in reality it’s like a 20 minutes. She gets her late and she ends Early. For me to change, it’s another ordeal with insurance, evaluation, and scheduling; however, I will do what is best for my child and look for another place. There are not a lot of options in Vegas sad to say as you in Clark county is short of teachers, short of speech therapist etc.

I grew up with a hearing aid and had speech therapy lessons in elementary and middle school. I was in both oral and total communication programs. Attending speech therapy(in school and private) was one of the most frustrating experiences of my childhood because no matter how hard I tried, it seemed that I couldn’t get the pronunciation of certain words correct. I was referred to Mr. Borsellino(Mr. B) at SFS Therapies after I got my first cochlear implant in my mid-twenties @ two years ago and I wished he(or someone like him) had been around earlier in my childhood! He has the training and background of working with the people with hearing losses… I am glad I was referred by my ENT, Dr. Ng. Mr. B’s personality and teaching methods have made the lessons a joy to attend. For example, my former speech therapists would constantly interrupt me to correct my pronunciations whenever I tell a story and merely tell me to repeat the mispronounced word until I got it correct. Mr. B listens to my speech while we are drilling with genuine interest and take notes of the mispronounced words. He would then goes over his notes after the lesson is over and shows me how to pronounce the words correctly using his hands or applications on his I Pad to show the correct tongue placement and mouth position. His methods make it easier to understand why I mispronounced a word because he was showing me rather than making me practice the pronunciation over and over. On top of him helping me with my speech, he continues to help me further develop my auditory skills with activities that represent real life situations.

We’ve had a wonderful experience here. My son has made such excellent progress working with Mr. B and enjoys going. The front office staff is friendly and usually keeps up with the billing and appointments. It helps to work with them on insurance and billing so that there are not any surprises later. It’s been a joy to watch my son blossom with their help!

Terrible!!! Your typical bait and switch. I asked them to make sure my appointments were covered before moving fwd. They said it’s was then after a month and a ½ they hit me with a huge bill. I asked them I thought that my appointments were coverd. They said it was but then it wasn’t. So they didn’t notify me. I paid co-pays and got hit with a large bill. Rip Off !
