I came here on a recommendation from a friend, and I’m so happy I did. Dr. Fernandez is probably best dentist I’ve ever found. Her and her team are unbelievably caring and attentive. She listened to my concerns and was more than willing to answer all my questions. She helped me choose the best treatment option given my financial situation and was able to get my teeth back into beautiful, healthy shape. NOW I AM PAIN FREE!!! :) So sad I’ve moved away from Vegas, but you best believe I have my next maintenance visit scheduled for the next time I’m in town. Thank you, Dr. Fernandez!

I don’t know why I didn’t read the reviews on this place sooner. I have been going here for more than 2 years now and I feel extremely dumb to have given them so much money. I was told I had a cavity. I had some time on my most recent trip to CA and I was able to see my regular dentist of when I lived out there. I found out I didn’t have a cavity. But I have had a lot of work done here at shadow mountain so now I’m wondering if I even needed it done. I’m really angry to find out that they literally lie to their patients just to get money. My family and I will not be returning. They lost very loyal customers due to their lies.

This is a hard review for me to write because this dental group has been good to me in the past. My previous visit has been for some emergency work and a cleaning. The group worked well with me on being able to pay the cost of the emergency visit. I am a graduate student and my insurance sucks. There is no dental. Everything I paid for came out of my pocket. The second visit was for a cleaning and it was fine.
I had made the appointment for 1pm, but when I arrived I was told that the appointment was for 1:30pm. I am sure it was 1pm, but no harm no foul. I accept that I could have been wrong. I was told that since it had been more than a year since my previous visit I had to see the doctor. I asked if this was an extra charge because my finances are tight. I was told no. I was offered a fluoride treatment for an additional $ 20 which I declined.
I was taken back for x-​rays which prompted me again to ask if there was a charge for x-​rays. I was told there was no extra charge. I see the dentist and he explains that I need some extra work, which I already knew. I explain to him my financial situation and tell him that it is not possible to pay for the work he is advising getting done. He says he understands and leaves.
I have now had to explain that I am not in a financial position to be able to afford my own health care three times. This is an embarrassment to me as it is to many Americans. I am literally killing myself to earn my degree, and my financial constraints are real. It is an obvious embarrassment, but again, it is one that many of us face on a daily bases.
Shortly after the doctor leaves another employee comes in to explain payment options on the medical treatments I had just denied and explained I could not afford. I say nothing and figure I will just, once again, have to say no and explain why. This is the price of being poor in the richest country in the world. Before the employee goes into the detail of the cost break down she goes over the billing for the cleaning. I am told I will be getting a fluoride treatment which prompts me to ask «There is an additional charge for that isn’t there?» She says yes, so I inform her that I told the receptionist yesterday when I made the appointment that I did not want the treatment. I inform the employee that I have a coupon for $ 50 off and I show it to her. She says it is not valid for the cleaning. In the fine print at the bottom it says so. My bad.
She then begins to go over the cost of the other options and I cut her off and say I can not afford them and I decline them all at this time. At this point I am getting stern and terse in my responses. I hand her the coupon and ask her if she could throw it away. She questions my decision and I say it is useless to me. She says I could use it on one of the more expensive treatments to which I once again I tell her that even with the coupon I can not afford them. She, snarkily, says something to the effect, «all right, if you want to pay full price go ahead.» She then ask me to sign the agreement for my cleaning. I pause for a long time contemplating about just walking out. I am obviously mad at this point. I am mad at the way I feel I have been treated, my own embarrassment at being at the lower end of the economic scale, and over the fact that I have continually said no to being up-​sold, yet am being continually up-​sold to. I sign the agreement.
Here is where my review goes into complete conjecture with no proof of what I am about to state. All I can say is this is my interpretation of the events. But first I have to explain something. I was a medic in the Army and occasionally we would get a patient who was just an A-​hole. When this happened all the medics and docs in the clinic had our own special way of allowing for some suffering by the patient. We never gave bad care, but that care was often delivered with less than gentle methods.
I think today I got some a-​hole karmic retribution. My cleaning was painful to the extent I had to complain, politely and professionally, twice until the dentist turned down the amplitude on sonic cleaning device. For the rest of the visit I tried to be as polite and professional as I could be, and I was treated with professionalism, but not necessarily kindness. When I left I asked for a copy of my records and stated I would not be making a second appointment.
I am sure they did not intentionally allow me to suffer, but this is the feeling I got throughout the treatment and nothing happened after to abate my suspicion. It was too easy to remove the pain upon my second request for it to be a simple oversight, in my opinion. I will not be returning to this dentist. I have to give them two stars though because they did give me excellent care on my first two visits. If you chose to go, I suggest you be nice and just tolerate the continual pressure to have more treatment no matter how many times you say no.

Rip off! Do not go here! I went in for my 6 month basic cleaning recently and they needed to «update» the x-​rays that were taken 6 months prior at my past cleaning. I received a bill in the mail for $ 600 saying that my insurance did not cover some of the charges. The charges were the x-​rays because they were not needed again and «oral hygiene instructions.» Do oral hygiene instructions consist of telling the patient that everything looks good!!! Now to explain my most recent visit and I will not be returning so my last! During the x-​rays, the young woman would use the gloves to position the camera and then touch in my mouth then would do some clicking on the computer mouse and keyboard then return to my mouth to adjust the angles for pictures. Very unsanitary. Next, Dr. Shirastani spent less than 5 minutes in the room with me for the cleaning. The hygienist finished the cleaning asking me to hold the «suction tool» in my mouth with my free hand. This place is unprofessional and unsanitary. They do not make the patients feel important!

My experience started off with a teeth cleaning apt. The hygienist was good and my teeth were clean but after the dentist took a look he told me my filling I’ve had for 10+ years should get a crown. They gave
Me a quote for 3 different options and of course pushed for their same day crown option. I believe they pushed for the most expensive option not because it’s the best option but because they already bought the machine and they need us patients to help pay for it. No one went over the options with me and I was left research on my own. Proceeding with a porcelain fused to metal crown which seemed like the strongest option for a molar they send these out to a lab in Cali to get made. Which is fine. But signing the consents you sign you will be back within a certain time frame or they will not be responsible. After getting rescheduled at their request I asked how that will work out since I’m now going to be exceeding time frame. The staff had no idea what I was talking about which was shocking considering it was a consent form that they require me to sign. Also I’m all for the paperless forms but I asked for a copy to read since no one really goes over it with you. I also tried to purchase teeth bleach but the front counter couldn’t figure out pricing. After making up a price they sold me individual tubes instead of the pack they come in together and one of the tubes safety seal on the tip was already broken off. They assured me it hadn’t been used and didn’t offer a discount. My friend purchased the exact same brand and strength from her dentist– for a pack of 4 it was the same price I paid for 1 tube. I guess they can make more money by breaking up the packaging and selling them individually. My husband had just as bad of an experience here but his was based on poorly done dental work which he’s returned to get fixed and the issue is still not resolved.
My 2 stars is based on the lack of knowledge and communication of the staff. They are also way more expensive when comparing to other dentists in the area. Even though my teeth are clean and my crown fits I will not be recommending this dentist or returning.

I like how nice everyone is here and that they address me by name several times throughout my visits. Office is always very clean as well. I’ve only had one negative experience with a dental assistant who was way to aggressive when cleaning/​flossing my teeth. Other than that, my visits are pleasant.

The Hygienist is very thorough and caring. On the other hand, the general Dentists only care about the money and how much they can charge you. The quality of their work is also suspect when you need repeated visits to fix filling discomfort. Our family has spent close to $ 3000 in dental work at this business but we will be going elsewhere from now on. The extra star is for their Hygienist, Michelle who is exceptional and very professional. Otherwise this is a one star dental clinic.

I hate to give bad reviews on businesses like this, but you all should be aware of what you’re getting yourselves into beforehand. Okay, so first off my husband has had a lot of dental work performed and each time has taken hours to complete, because of the fact that the Dr’s bounce back and forth between several patients at once. That is not at all fair for paying customers who take time out of their busy schedules. The second problem is that each and every time my husband has left this office his dental issues have reoccured worse than before. This is all coming straight from our pockets because we are not covered for dental. I am not complaining that we have to pay because it is not a problem, but when you’re paying this much to a dentist who is only making your problems worse that is a huge issue. In my 42 years of living I have never heard of or experienced such blasphemy. It is utterly ridiculous that each time a procedure is performed there are complications and more money to be paid. This office is a big scam and would get 0 stars if possible, but since it is not the 1 star is strictly based on the cleanliness of the office. DO NOT COME HERE!

I would actually give them a zero. They already lost my business. Emphasis on business they aren’t one seriously!!! First of all I don’t understand there ratings and why it’s so high because it shouldn’t be. I have been a person that always pays their bills on time and when this company already took my money (and shown proof) and they don’t even know where they put it and try to scam me for more money stating that I didn’t pay thats where I draw the line. They couldn’t even process me a receipt. It literally took months for them to solve this problem. They need to hire a person that is organize in accounting that can actually be reliable when it come to a company’s finance.

Family members recommended this dentistry for me, so I decide to get my checkup done with them.
Staff was already on my friends list with smiles and greetings as I entered their office for the first time. Their waiting room has a lot of chairs for personal space. Not really fond of sitting next to strangers… especially when you have to listen to the whining and crying ones. =/​But if you’re like me, you can dig the Keurig which is on the house with a variety of coffee and teas to brew.
I had the best opportunity to have Dr. Wolf and her assistant Janelle to treat me for my visits. Dr. Wolf made sure I was comfortable by sharing useful information, plus we engaged in many conversations about the same interests. Assisting on the side, Janelle showed that her beauty is not to be underestimated. She handled all the side operations as if she was a doctor herself.
If it were possible to give and accurate rating, I would give them a solid 4.5 stars. My experience was wonderful although like the many other reviews have stated, prices here are pretty high so it was to be expected from a dentistry near Aliante area along with the quality care and equipment provided.
The whole staff is really professional and can only remember a handful of names including Dr. Molayem and Valerie. Not once did I feel like I was just another patient being rushed through their office in a hurry to make their lunch break or take off on time.

Overpriced, bad service. Do not waste your time here. They do not care about their patients and are very money grubbing. Make sure you ask for an estimate before you have any work done because they will charge you as much as they can

A friend took advantage of a great deal on a $ 59. teeth cleaning and xray, so I decided to do so too. The office is clean and super modern. Great! The doctor told me I had a cavity around an old filling and showed me the brown around it with his camera and monitor. He quoted me $ 275. to replace the white filling with a porcelain one. It seemed a little steep to me. I have no insurance and asked for a cash discount. No dice. Okay, whatever. I am unemployed and was scrambling to get some money so my teeth wouldn’t rot out.
Eventually I got some money and I went to another dentist for a quote on the filling. He looked and x rayed and looked again and x rayed again. He said I had no cavities. The brown around the filling was coffee stains. I told my friend (who was also told he had a cavity). He went to another dentist, and guess what? He didn’t have one either.
I cannot believe that man was going to drill my healthy tooth. I am stunned. A couple of weeks later I got a phone call saying that they were running a special and could do the work for $ 150.
Buyer beware.

When I moved to las Vegas, I had to find a new orthodontist. Dr. Webster and his staff are great! The office is usually busy at all times of the day. However, I have only had to wait once.
They always have movies on in the waiting room and individual rooms too. Makes for a great distraction when having your grill worked on!

I always have the best experience in this dental office. They have the best team. Everyone i talked to in this office knows what customer service is all about. They always provide good information and makes you comfortable in every procedure provided.

I continue to use this office. I can’t speak more highly of the entire staff! A great experience — as far as dentists go!

It had been 10 years since I had been to the dentist before I finally caved in and went (thanks to the wife). The staff here is very polite and courteous. I ended up getting a laser cleaning and with insurance it cost less than I was expecting. Although the cleaning itself was unpleasant, it did not hurt at all. The technician was very gentle and attentive to my needs as a patient. They made me realize how truly important good oral hygiene is. At the end of the day, I only had 1 cavity (not bad for a 10-​year hiatus), and they gave me a porcelain filling and I was good to go. If you live in the Northwest this is the place to go for dental work.

I had to make a last minute appointment on a Saturday because of an extreme tooth ache. Not only were they open, but they had availability! I arrived at a really nice dental hygienist took me to get my x rays. He was so polite and really sweet. I didn’t wait long at all for the Dentist. He was super nice and efficient. When I was done, I checked out with the gal up front who was also nothing but helpful. Definitely a lot better than my last experience with Alexander Dental (never go there!). I would recommend this place to anyone in need of a Dentist!

My husband and I had appt. s here yesterday. I had plans of taking our boys next week. I will be cancelling that appt. We arrived early for our appt. and xrays went well. After being placed in the chair in the room, I assumed we would then be getting a cleaning, which I was sure our insurance covered. That was NOT the case. It then be came a sales pitch, all the things they wanted me to do would have cost me over 2 grand WITH insurance! I literally had to BEG them to do the cleaning, the receptionist had to ask the Dentist if that would be ok… after an hour and half I finally got my teeth POLISHED!!!
I believe I have had an easier time in the past buying a car then I had here! I just wanted to get a check up done and a cleaning… should have gone to Dr. Wagners office… MY bad!

I came in here last week and Dr. Shahrestani was amazing! He did a crown for me and three fillings. I’m totally afraid of the dentist (like everyone else in the world) and he made me feel calm and totally at ease. I was really happy with his work.
His staff is great and the offices are super clean and inviting. I’m definitely going to make this my go-​to place in the future. I don’t know about the other review on here, but I definitely think you should give this place a shot if you’re looking for a dentist in the area.
