Very clean rooms. Friendly staff. I am on a business trip for 1 week and I’m already likening it. I would recommend this place!

The worst experience ever! The security guard was so rude and disgusting towards the guest I would never recommend anyone to stay here with employees like that. I felt so judged by my appearance and age because some have health problems and she wants to try and judge a book by its cover never stay here if you want to feel anything less of a human

Garden Buffet food was good for the money. Coronado Café was terrible. My porterhouse steak was literally ¼ inch thick!
Rooms big but looking a bit dated and tired. Overall just low quality everywhere you look.
Front desk manager terrible! I asked to stay 30 minutes over check-​out as I had a very early business meeting and needed a little rest before hitting the road. She refused me in an unsympathetic way on top of it! It was just rude. There wasn’t even a cleaning cart near my room. I left for fear they would automatically charge me. I wrote into the hotel and they sent back a «cut and paste» answer that said sometimes they are booked.
Would not stay there again.

We checked in last night. The room was specious, and very clean. We had a nice breakfast on the lobby. The food and services was great.

As I was doing a hotel search for my upcoming birthday, I realized I never reviewed this place so even though it’s been a few months I thought I would since I had a great experience here.
When I was going through a move I stayed here for one night until I could get into my new apartment. It’s an off strip casino (about 5 – 10 minutes away) that is always advertising rodeos (not a fan) so I wasn’t really sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised to go up to my room & see that it was pretty luxurious considering the location. The photos I post won’t do it justice but we had two spacious beds, decent media center, & a clean updated bathroom with separate door for sink & toilet/​bat, which I love because if someone needs to use the restroom or bath another person can still use the mirror & sink. My favorite part of all was the gorgeous view of the evening Strip in the distance. The view was amazing even to wake up too. I didn’t spend any time in the casino but the room was lovely considering it was less then $ 100 & in Vegas even with a $ 100+ it can be hit or miss. It was the perfect place for me to rest after another hectic move. Would recommend for anyone who just wants to get some rest when traveling/​moving/​on business. If you’re a tourist, it’s also right by the high way that goes to the Strip so if you’re on a budget & don’t mind a 5 – 10 minutes drive this would be a good place to stay if you’re not planning to drink on the strip or have a DD. :-) Very easy to navigate back & forth.

This is my second year coming to this Hotel. i would say for the value, location, and benefits it’s a definite must visit and stay.
You are close enough to get to the strip without issue. You have everything you need at the hotel! It’s very clean, classy, and accommodating! It’s a great place to gamble, drink, dance, lounge around, and even has things for kids to do (i.e. Moves, Bowling, etc.).
This place is awesome!

Compliments of Jetblue because they cancelled my flight and next flight out would be 12 hours later that night on the red eye.
So although I didn’t stay the night, I was able to get a complimentary room so I could stretch out and take a nap before my next flight.
The staff is friendly and courteous the rooms are spacious and clean.

Hotel is nice and clean as well. It’s a regular hotel but there is a big sign that says people under 21 aren’t allowed after 21.
There are different things to do there besides gamble– there’s bowling, a movie theater, bingo and I think other things too.
We came for the bingo and it was fun! I suggest getting there a bit early to secure your seat as the line get longer and longer as the time passes and they will close the doors. Being cash too because they don’t accept cards inside the bingo place. All in all, I know I’m coming back to play some more!

My first experience staying the night over was terrible! I left my ring in their glass cup next to the sink to brush my teeth and wash my face. than I totally forgot!:(I called back same day and the house keeper said the maid did not find it! how could she not?! the value of the ring is not much but the sentimental value of it means so much:(It’s sad that you can’t trust a hotel service with your personal belongings that you bring with you to stay the night. it just shows how poor their housekeeping service is! I regret stopping by and staying the night!

If you’re looking for a hotel away from the strip traffic but still close enough to see the lights, the South Point Hotel is a good choice. I have been here many times and had family stay here once, so I have seen a lot of the hotel.
I used to come here to see movies a lot. They usually had convenient movie times and it is easy to get into the casino. When you’re in the parking lot, facing the entrance, park to the left and enter the side door. It brings you in by the sports book and a bar. Walk straight back and take the escalator up to the movie theater. This is also a great entrance to use if you’re going to Steak n Shake. That is another reason to come here! It’s the only location in town.
As far as the rooms go, they were clean and a pretty good size. For the price, I think they are just fine! I went to the pool once and remember it being a little smaller than other properties on the strip.
One thing I liked about the hotel part is the security card really does check for room keys before letting anyone go to the elevator. That was a nice change!

This is the ideal spot if you want to avoid the strip and the sketchy downtown area… perfect for our family trip to Zion & Death Valley. Got everything you need in the building — plenty of gambling, restauraunts, entertainment. Close to airport and rental car agencies.
Parking is free but it is a hassle. There’s a deck and a front yard, but regardless where you park, you have to walk the long way through the casino to the elevators to the hotel rooms. I understand a giant chunk of revenue comes from casinos (and forcing people to travel through casinos), but its tiring when all you want to do is pass out. Build a side entrance please.
Beds are clean and comfy, no issues there. Cleaning staff came in while we were still resting, left when she realized we were inside but I’m pretty sure we had the DnD on…
Coupon book has two free alcoholic beverages and lots of good discount rates. They give you two, but if you paid for extra guest fee, make sure to ask for more books.
I LOVED the Garden Buffet! What a steal for a ton of good food, and bloody marys all day. Yum.

Not the fanciest hotel, but it was nice enough.
The bar staff was very friendly and nice to talk to.
The coupon book is a good deal, be sure to grab one.

I have never ever been so harassed to bring a SERVICE ANIMAL to a hotel. After the not so nice lady at the counter checks us in and says to her manager «he claims that’s a service animal». I show my certificate and card. She still calls security to verify. Security tells me «she could of asked you the 2 questions». I reply she did and then contacted you. Security felt bad for me. I booked on priceline and when checking in it took 50 minutes to check in on New Years Eve with no one in line. They couldn’t find my reservation. She told me I needed to call priceline that they wouldn’t help me. Finally I’m
Checked in both rooms. But wait? A 4 star on priceline no way. The bed as hard as rocks and the carpet from 1975.

Never been a fan other than of the Showroom for comedy shows.
Way too many other locals’ casinos are better in so many ways.
There are some pros to this place, however, such as a s#%tload of restaurants. Really great variety of restaurants!
It looks pretty from the outside, especially with the holiday lights. I saw way more obvious security personnel than I’ve ever seen at the better locals’ casinos. Granted, there are more people here.
SO many people.
I was here on Christmas Eve and they had a bazillion holiday balloons tied to slot machines which is cool. Very festive! And a cool bowling themed Xmas tree on the desk at the bowling lanes.

South Point is a solid 3 stars «A-​OK» across the board.
Every aspect is nice and OK but never terrible or great. Prices are fair. Food options and quality are OK. Rooms are fairly modern, roomy and clean. Staff was friendly.
The property lies about a 10 minute drive from the Strip. If you have a car, this isn’t an issue. If you want to cab or shuttle bus, be prepared to pay. The free parking garage is close to the casino and hotel rooms because the property isn’t very large (in comparison to the big casinos).
South Point has a huge bowling alley and fantastic movie theater on the property. Big bonus if you have kiddos in tow. The arcade can also entertain them for hours. Be sure to hit up the Steak’n’Shake as well!
If I had one complaint I’d say the property is too smoky and could use better air filtration. My eyes and lungs definitely felt the burn from all those cigarettes. I know it’s Vegas so I didn’t cry about it, but other properties do a better job at filtering the air.
Overall, if you’re on a budget and not needing to spend all your time on the Strip, this is a solid option for a Vegas vacation. Keep in mind you get what you pay for, however. Everything is 3 star OK. If that’s good by you, then South Point is a great option.

We love playing here, great rules, friendly dealers, lots of food choices and if youre a horse lover well theres usually something going on!
Most clientele is older, grand majority 50+ (I’m 55, so I fit right in).
We tried the seafood buffet (Fridays) — i was very disappointed that the ‘star of the show’ the snow crab, was sawed in half. This makes the delectable legs very difficult to eat as the meat just falls apart instead of being able to extract big juicy pieces from ‘whole’ crab legs. The salad bar was VERY basic.

First time coming to Vegas and staying at a hotel that’s off the main strip. I really enjoyed my stay here and prices are cheaper. South Point is located south of the strip a couple miles away. It’s just about an eight minute drive up Las Vegas blvd to start off at Mandalay Bay. The hotel also offers a shuttle that will drop you off at the strip and bring you back until 1am.
The room we got was very spacious with two queen beds that were cozy and comfy. The bathroom area was large with a long counter. They have room service and movies to order that aren’t out to rent yet.
The hotel has a huge bowling alley. They offer $ 1 games from 12am to 6pm. They have an arcade, movie theater, bingo room, spacious casino, options for restaurants, an equestrian center and a lovely heated pool and jacuzzi. They give you a book of coupons when you check in and you can save money at the restaurants and shops. You also get free drinks from the bar! Place is popular and fills up with variety of people!!!

I stayed here in a suite on the 25^th floor with my friends from Friday to this afternoon.
Dang. This place was cool! The suite was giant; there was a big living room with a coffee table, dining table, two couches, a bar/​kitchen-​y area, and two large bedrooms. The master bedroom had a big ass bed, closet, and a huge beautiful bathroom. The tile was super pretty and the bath was so awesome I took an hour and a half long bubble bath on Saturday while I read.
We had a smoking suite, but the only way we knew was because my friend asked for one and there were a couple of ashtrays hanging out. We moved all the ashtrays into the guest bathroom to keep everyone with cigs in the tile room, so as to not damage the carpet or couches. The cool thing though was the place did not smell like smoke or anything at all (until we smoked). But the room was super clean and pretty and I would definitely come back to this hotel.
The walk from the garage to the hotel wasn’t too far either. And also– the café thing downstairs had a late night special for 21+ only with breakfast and burgers from $ 5 and under! I got some decent biscuits and gravy for $ 2.
Lastly, even though we had a stupid amount of people in the room and a speaker in the room blasting music, we never got any noise complaints like I have at previous hotels.
The best part was that my friend booked the hotel suite the night of the party around 4pm (after her previous room turned out to be a scam) and we were able to get in, set up/​decorate the room and get ready by the 7pm time we told our friends!

I just left this casino and I, HAVE to say, the valet staff here is incredible. They’re very friendly & according. They’re always smiling & willing to help. One of the valet people, he was tall Hispanic guy this afternoon, he helped me with my luggage this week (it was really heavy!) but he didn’t say a word or show that it was heavy lol. I also appreciated that he actually initiated a conversation with me instead of treating me like every other customer. I didn’t have to wait long for someone to take care of my car or return it back to me. I’ve had things stolen from my car before from previous valet people at other casinos but I breathed a sigh of relief when all my things were still there.
The rooms were very clean in my room as well. I love hotel pillows!!! I thought about stealing one but I didn’t want to get charged for it lol. (PLEASE TELL ME WHERE U GET YOUR PILLOWS!)
The cleaning crew left my room alone on the days I requested it to be left alone, and they did a wonderful job in cleaning up when I left my door knob normal, indicating its okay to come in.
I really love all the staff here at this casino & hotel, for their impeccable attitudes. This was my first stay at this casino and I have definitely found my favorite place to stay at!

I’ve stayed here once and their rooms were very clean and actually quite large for the price! It was only about $ 50 for a night. We ended up staying for a second night because we had so much fun and the price was hard to beat!
They have a bowling alley which is open late and does $ 1 bowling after midnight, WOO! Movies which does $ 5 Tuesdays, no one else can beat that. Steak N Shake which is a reallllly good restaurant. Steggs (steak and eggs) late night special which is pretty bomb.
This place has it all for late night gatherings and hang outs. I love coming here!

Hotel etwas abseits vom Strip
Schneller Check-​in und freundliches Personal.
Die Zimmer sind groß. Der Waschraum ist von Toilette und Bad/​Dusche getrennt. Eines der wenigen Hotels mit Wandschränken.
Valet Parking und selbst Parken sind gut.
Das Town Square Center und das Premium Outlet Center sind gerade mal 10 min entfernt. Ansonsten gibt es um das Casino keine großen Möglichkeiten gut essen zu gehen.
