In a word — Incredible! After a change of insurance coverage I was again in search of a new eye Dr. From the appointment arrangement through my new glasses pick-up, everything went effortlessly. The reception staff was cordial and inviting, my exam was thorough, and Dr. Kim was an absolute breath of fresh air; thoroughly professional, informative, with an incredibly personable and comforting chair-side manner! As for my glasses; for the first time in many, many years, my new Rx was perfect, the frames adjusted spot-on upon arrival, and the value received — priceless! I have already recommend this practice to several friends, and will continue to do so at any opportunity.

I went to my appointment today. After sitting in the doctors chair and being in the office for about an hour. One of the workers came in to do another eye exam. She left for a bit then came back and said the doctor that was in the office doesn’t do contact lenses and that I would have to come back on Monday to see the other doctor. I said what does this other doctor do that he can’t operate the eye machine? What is the point of having him there? I told her to get the doctor. She comes back a few minutes later and says The doctor can’t fix my prescription and that I have to wait for the other doctor. I walked into the waiting area furious. I asked her why would she schedule me to come in — when I couldn’t be helped? It doesn’t make any sense. I asked how often the other doctor comes in — and she said once a month. So if my prescription is wrong again — I have to wait a whole month to get it checked again? I told them I want my money back as I am done wasting my time with these idiots. She has to call the main office to get my money back. Unreal. Do not waste your time going to this office — they are all complete idiots that don’t know what they’re doing. Funny how they wanted to schedule me for eye surgery when they can’t even schedule an eye exam correctly. Steer clear of this place unless you like to waste your time. ***Their office called me today — said they won’t refund my money.

I had a very frustrating experience at Southwest Eye Institute. After arriving on-time for my 2:30 scheduled appointment, I waited for 30 minutes before I was seen by the assistant. There was no apology for the wait time. She went through all of the initial tests, then dilated my eyes and said that it would be about 15 – 20 minutes before the doctor saw me. At this point, although the initial wait was a bit concerning, things seemed to be moving along just fine. Well… little did I know that I would sit in the waiting room, eyes dilated, vision blurry, for almost an HOUR longer! After I reached the point of frustration, I asked the receptionist how much longer it would be. She said that I was next, and escorted me into the doctor’s office. I commented on how long the wait was, and rather than an apology, she merely commented, «you should have seen it this morning.» What kind of customer service is that??? After being seated in the doctor’s office, I waited for yet ANOTHER20 minutes until he came in. The remainder of the visit was fine, so I have no complaints about the actual exam– except for the fact that I was there from 2:30pm until 5:15pm!!! I received my prescription for my eyeglasses, and when I looked at it the next day, I noticed that my name was spelled incorrectly. I called the office, and again– no apology. She just said that when I ordered my glasses, the vendor would call to verify the prescription, so it would be fine. Customer service is obviously not their strong suit.
