I love Dr. McHale. She took care of me and made me feel safe and nothing to be scared of. Some OB’s made me feel like I’m just a number added to their patient list but not this doctor. I am glad I found her. All my questions, fears or concerns are well addressed. She’s very friendly and cool. Her staff is just awesome and sweet :)

I called this office about 3 years ago and made an appointment, the soonest they had was a few months out. I ended up cancelling and seeing someone who could get me in sooner. Now, 3 years later, I’m getting a bill in the mail for FMLA fees. I’ve never been to the office, never had FMLA, have no clue what this bill is for. I call and leave voicemail after voicemail… never get a call back and the bill just keeps coming. Not sure what to do at this point, it’s been months and nobody can return a call or fix their billing. I may have dodged a bullet by not using this office. So if they have ever had your address watch for random bills 3 years later.

I will warn you all. This is a long BUT necessary review :) the review is specific to my interactions with Dr. McHale and not a review of administrative staff or paraprofessionals at the office.
I have been seeing Dr. McHale since last year. I’ve had several BAD experiences with doctors and especially obgyns since age 16. I had doctors who dismissed my concerns or simply didn’t take the time to have a conversation and hurt me as a result. I was young and trusting of these «professionals.» Don’t get me wrong I get that doctors have a lot of patients and little time, but quality is something I believe is essential when you’re a doctor providing HEALTHCARE. I had medical concerns I’d been struggling with for years (on/​off since 16) but for fear of having another bad experience– I just suffered with my pain. When I originally went to see Dr. McHale I was hoping I’d finally get someone who could just help – I was fed up. I started reading through reviews and researching doctors in Vegas when I eventually came across her office.
During my first visit I was nervous and anxious but Dr. McHale took the time to listen to my personal concerns. She did her exam while keeping those concerns in mind. I did my follow up 3 months later and was already feeling better.
Now a year later I’m healthier, happier, and have made better decisions about my health. All because she took a few extra minutes to hear me out. Something that seems so simple but that many «professionals» lack. She’s not a therapist or anything but for many women like me, a visit to your obgyn is a nervous, anxiety provoking experience. She made this experience much more relaxing than I was used to in the past.
It may sound dramatic but she changed my life in ways she may not ever know. I am very thankful.
I will admit the wait time during my annual this year was a bit longer than expected. BUT It’s a small price to pay for a great doctor. Plus they also have a small fold out wardrobe with a mirror to place your clothes when you change! This was sooo convenient. The new office is also spacious and super nice!

I made the appointment. I was never given a choice whether or not to see her assistant. I never actually met the doctor. Since then I was given the results, and they wanted to do another procedure that my primary doctor advised against until another health issue was resolved. Again, I never saw the doctor when given the results. Instead of actually talking to my primary doctor, she fired me as a patient. Can’t believe the doctor actually signed the fire letter when I never saw her. You can never get through the phone lines. Wait six minutes — shuffled to voicemail — never call you back. Believe me – this place was fired in my eyes a long time before they fired me.

Dr. McHale is the best! She is informative, patient, and caring. I’ve never felt so comfortable with an OG/​GYN until I’ve met her. I was also very lucky to have her deliver my baby. The wait times at her office can be a little long but she is awesome so it’s not a big deal. The staff at her office is all great! If you’re looking for a new OB/​GYN, Dr. McHale is a wonderful choice. I’m so happy I found her!

What more can I say about dr. Mchale!!! She absolutely an amazing OB. I had seen her over a year ago with my pregnancy. She is straight forward and honest unlike other obs here in lasvegas. dr. Mchale and her staff know how to run an office. It takes an ease knowing your in good hands with her front staff (Alisha and Betty)!!! I am pregnant yet again but unfortunately my insurance changed and they do not accept my new insurance which really sucks for me so I’m stuck with a ob that has horribly run office and staff .! Just thought I might leave a review for anyone considering dr.mchale. Definitely is a #1 choice… Very sincere about her patients.

My wife has been going to Dr. McHale the last couple of years. After having seen here a few times, she’s your slightly above average OGBYN. Gets the job done, and good about dealing with refills or changes between generic/​brand name, but nothing outright special. Consistent. The staff is good — again nothing super wow — and friendly for the most part. But the wait… old office was HORRIBLE, new office is definitely better, but still a 40 minute wait (not including the wait in the exam room) even when she had the first appointment in the morning. So that’s annoying to say the least. AND 1 of 5 phone calls will be answered within 2 minutes — otherwise expect to wait a good 15 minutes before someone answers. That’s our biggest gripe with this office — the waiting, waiting, waiting.

They are in their new building and they aren’t sharing the cramped old lobby anymore. The new place is fabulous and is a much better representation of their level of care! I am now seeing them for my first pregnancy and things have gone great so far. I highly recommend Dr. McHale.

Amazing!!! Amazing!!! Dr. Mchale delivered both our beautiful children. My wife carried our son and I carried our daughter. Smooth peaceful experience for both — and I even had a C section. Dr. Mchale made me feel calm and well taken care of in the operating room. We feel blessed to have been in her competent hands!!!

Doctor McHale is awesome! She and her staff have always worked with us. Whatever we needed they helped us with. For example, I had some paternity papers that needed filling out, I was given the information with a very short turn around. I told the secretary at the front and she went out of her way to make sure I had them. Dr. McHale tells it like it is and some people don’t like to hear what they don’t want to. Well that style works for me and I appreciate her candid yet friendly approach. She really knows her stuff, she answered every question my wife and I had and then asnwered some things we didn’t even think to ask. Couldn’t of been happier with their help. Thank You Dr. McHale and to your staff.

I love Dr. McHale! She saw me through my second pregnancy and delivered my baby boy just a few days ago and the whole experience was great! She’s a gentle, and very smart doctor. Informs you of everything going on. And Celeste, her PA, is awesome too! When Dr. McHale was out for deliveries Celeste took great care of me. I highly recommend them!

Since opening their new office, I have not had to wait for more than a half hour. Major improvement! And the new facility is very nice.

This office provided the perfect patient experience. I was able to get an appointment in the expected time frame, I was taken back quickly, and Dr. McHale is amazing. She is very personable and compassionate. I had an unfortunate circumstance occur, and the staff worked me in, and the assistants and ultrasound tech were very comforting. I love this office. It is beautiful as well. A very nice office. I highly recommend this office.

She’s a good enough doctor. I felt like she did not listen to me and my wants/​needs/​problems, so the last two times I left appointments with a treatment plan that I was not comfortable with. I’m not sure what happened during these last appointments, it was so disappointing, especially since my previous appointments were great.
The staff here are very sweet ladies with lots of compassion. Really liked that blood draws for lab was in house. Long wait times, but that’s par for the course for any practicing OBGYN in this city. My only solution for that is to try to get first appointment of the day or first appointment after lunch. But I do that for any doctor I go to.

Ridiculous wait time… I’m still in the waiting room — it’s 5:05pm and my appointment was at 3:30pm! I asked the receptionist how much longer it would take and was told that I’m supposed to allot 1.5hrs for my appointment plus I had to fill out paperwork which I quickly completed and handed back to her within 10 mins of receiving it. I’m completely okay with the actual appointment taking a long time but WAITING for 1.5hrs is ridiculous! In addition to the wait time, the receptionist’s attitude was rude and was upset at me as if it’s my fault I didn’t plan on sitting here until dinner time when my appointment was at 3:30.

Dr. McHale is not my OB, but she delivered my baby when my doctor was unavailable. She was awesome! My labor was very quick and I ended up in the hospital at 4:30am. Thankfully, Dr. McHale was on call for my doctor. I wanted an unmedicated birth without intervention, and she made it happen! She was very respectful of all my wishes and made it a point to talk to the nurses about my birth plan when she arrived. When pushing, she was so encouraging but hands off (no episiotomy!). When I said I couldn’t do it, she promptly responded that I WAS doing it and I was awesome :) She allowed my son to come naturally and on his own terms. When she was not sure whether I would want a particular intervention (i.e. pitocin to speed delivery of placenta) she asked and then respected my wishes. After my son was born, she was incredibly gentle in stitching me and made conversation with my husband. She explained everything she was doing and was clear about followup care.
When I found out my doctor would not be delivering my son, I was very disappointed. However, I am so happy Dr. McHale was available. My birth experience was amazing and I have an absolutely perfect son to show for it!

I love Dr. Mchale. She’s always so quick, friendly, and easy to talk to. However, for my last 2 visits, I have waited over an hour in the lobby and another 20+ minutes in the exam room. I have to take half a day off of work just to do my annual exam. Kind of ridiculous and I’m seriously considering changing doctors.

So Dr. McHale had delivered my baby even though she was not my primary OB/​GYN but she was awesome throughout the long process which both of us will never forget switching hospitals and ending up with a c-​section at 12 am. It was fate that my new insurance was not accepted at my old doctors place so I decided to call Dr. McHale’s office and they said yes we do take Teacher’s Health Trust.
My first visit with Dr. McHale was a great one. Even though it’s been 2 years since I’ve seen her, we talked about how my first child’s delivery was unforgettable. She remembered me and since then we have talked about what we want to do with this upcoming baby #2. Honestly, she takes the time to explain and always answers every question that I have so that I feel comfortable with my choices.
People complain about the wait and I’ve had a good 45 minutes max which is amazing considering I used to wait a good 1.5 — 2 hours to see my other doctor. In Vegas, expect to wait for a doctor for about that long (30 – 45 min in the waiting room). I figured in and out in 1 hour to 1.25 hours is better than what I used to have to do.
Her staff is awesome and of course her nurse, Stephanie rocks. They will be moving in a couple of months but it’s down the street. I definitely have to say Dr. McHale is one of my favorite doctors thus far and everyone that I know that goes to her feels the same way.

Dr. McHale was so great through my entire pregnancy. My husband and I had given up hope of conceiving and within 3 months of moving to Las Vegas we discovered we were expecting. Not knowing anyone, we used reviews of Dr. McHale to see if she would be a good fit for our family. When calling the office I was told she was booked for over a month but when I explained my situation (a very nervous, excited to be Mom, with a lot of questions) her front office gal, Alisha, said she could get me in to see her.
We did not regret our decision to use Dr. McHale and her staff – everyone was so kind and answered all of our questions. Shortly after the first trimester we needed to see a specialist due to the chance of my baby being in the risk zone for having Down’s Syndrome, and Dr. McHale and her nurses explained what would happen and how to proceed. Luckily, our daughter was born healthy in June of 2014 and Dr. McHale was the one who delivered our baby (I have heard from so many people I know that their OB wasn’t even there when they gave birth.)
As for wait times, yes, they can be lengthy, but she is a practitioner of ONE. Also, I have seen other reviews commenting on billing, etc. My advice when selecting any participating provider, is that you also check who they use for lab work and test results. Never assume that your insurance will cover these expenses just because you are selecting someone within your health plan.
I wish we still lived in Vegas so I could continue to see Dr. McHale. She is a competent and caring doctor.

It’s hard to get an appointment at this place. This office is a little hard to find, but once you do it’s new and clean which is good. However, I had to wait nearly an hour in the waiting area, and then another 30mins for Dr. McHale to come in the examining room. I still had to go to work that day, so it was a lot of wasted time. She finally came in and was nice, but I didn’t like having to wait for so long. The staff is ⁵⁰⁄₅₀ one girl was nice, one wasn’t that pleasant. It just depends who you get at the desk and on the phone when you call. Another drawback is that I’ve had to request refills and I have had to call back as they did NOT send my request to the pharmacy. No women loves going to the gynecologist so please try and improve the wait time, staff interactions, and prescription requests.
