Straight Up Tanning

So far so good. I first 10 was free and a standup bed. Then I use the coupon here on Unilocal.I got eight high pressure tabs for the price of five. But I got $ 25– off. My 2^nd tan was in the high pressure bed. I really like it. I’m lazy and like to lay down and nap. I don’t feel burned. I’m getting tan. I’ll update later.

They have now sent my account to a second collection agency trying to get another 68 dollars even though the 1^st Agency canceled it because I never owed a dime. Meghan the manager should be fired because clearly she didn’t do her damn job right and cancel my account back in may of 2015! They even tried to repeatedly charge my credit card after I canceled and I had to fight them over that too. I guess because they lost that fight they decided to send my account to collections and after the 1^st company found out that it was bogus they sent it to another one. Totally a bullshit crappy company who can’t get their shit together. It’s not the 68 bucks is the dang principal that totally don’t cancel when a customer asks you to and then try and squeeze one more charge out of them for services they didn’t use. Fuck that. I’m contacting the BBB on this shitty company

That would be a 0! Worse customer service EVER! The female that was at the front desk charged my boyfriend and I for 2 spray tans! I went first, she didn’t explain anything! not even how to turn the light on even after I mentioned that it was my first time tanning! The machine DID NOT WORK! I had to get dressed to open the door to call her over and she kept saying, «try it again» I got undressed every time! It STILL DIDN’T WORK! I got dressed after 20 minutes of waiting while she made a call to the technician. I finally got dressed again!!! and went to sit down, annoyed I told her I was not going to do it again! She then continue to tell me that they did not give refunds! How the HELLLLLL do you not give a refund when «YOUR» MACHINE was NOT working!!! WHAT KIND OF BUSINESS IS THIS?!

I can’t rave about this place enough!
When I moved back to California it was so hard finding a tanning salon that compares. Now that I’m back in Vegas, I’m back to getting tan and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. I just signed up in the 54 level membership and have only done 2, 4 minute sessions (in a 10 min max bed) and I already have color… No lie! And you get a free packet of lotion when you sign up!
If you haven’t been here, I highly recommend you pop in and give it a shot! I’m pretty sure they still offer a free tan to first timers :)

Megan is amazing!!! Such a clean, organized environment. Prices weren’t too bad and customer service was the best! This is my spot!

Note: I came in around noon in October. I was a member several years back and cancelled because I moved. I’ve gone to different tanning salons before. And i go here even though i live on the strip.
Before walking into the establishment, I had no problem finding parking. It’s not a huge parking lot, but there are enough parking spaces and the farthest parking spot is less then a minute walk to the salon. So for people who complain about parking are exaggerating. I see that they have their hours, website and social media posted up on their door and front windows. I walk in and one of the ladies greeted me instantly as she walks from the back room, holding a pile of laundry. She apologized for not being at the front and explained she was doing laundry in the back. I wasn’t in a rush that day, and it was welcoming and nice to be greeted. I waited for about 15 seconds. And it goes to show you they have clean fresh towels for guests to use. Before giving her my name, she asked how was my day was going and sparked up a little conversation. It’s nice knowing that when you go to places, they remember who you are. She asked me if I would like a towel. Sometimes i use them, and sometimes i dont. So i know that every time I use their High Pressue machine, i work up a sweat since it does get hot. Bottom line, she remembered my name. These ladies know who people are and they dont treat their guests as just «customers.» I walk to their beauty bar in the back and was impressed with the new granite counter top they have. (Not like the old ratchet looking wood with silver lining that was broken before). They had a plethora of things that you can chose to use before and after your tanning experience, from men and women spray deodorants, body sprays, wipes, tissues, hair ties (if you forget to bring a hair tie), feminine products, mouthwash, mirrors, and magnified mirror. And also, a hamper that didn’t look like it was about to fall apart. Because i like to go to places that are immaculate, i notice their floors are shiny and walking past their High Pressue booths, that there were no fingerprints on them. Impressive! I go to their restroom and was pleased to see that they now have a long mirror and black bathroom fixtures that look more up to date. To me, when i see a white toilet and sink, where you have to use your foot to flush, that is not appealing! That someone went the cheap route. And their sink, very clean! No water marks or hard stains! Before I go into the booth to tan, the lady hands me a bottle of water and says, «its important to hydrate yourself after you tan.» Wow! I didn’t know that. You learn something new everyday right? :) She also mentions to me that there is a lottle speaker so i can plug my mp3 or phone so i can listen to music. I remembered last time i was in there was a cd player that you can only hook up a 1^st generation ipod in. Who carries cd’s nowadays? So, cool upgrade with the speaker! :) And i get to listen to my own music. That’s a plus! After my tan, I walk towards the front of the salon. There was a lady who was complaining about her membership and wanted to cancel before her membership was up. The lady working at the front desk looks at me to acknowledge my existence. I looked back at her and smiled and gave her the thumbs up, letting her know I’ll be patiently waiting. She smiled back. Because this lady was rude ans loud, I did hear what was going on. She signed up for a membership and wanted to cancel before membership was up. The lady at the desk handled herself in a very calm and professional way. Long story short, that lady left angry because she didn’t get what she wantes and threatened a bad review. Walking up to the counter, she asks how my tannjng experience was, and i tell her, «i noticed half way through my session, it got hotter then i remembered.» She apologized and said, «I do apologize, but we changed our bulbs every so often.» Well, that’s definitely a good thing that they keep up with their bulbs. I asked her what specials do they have and to explain the membership. She never hesitated in her response. Good to know that with memberships, you get perks such as upgrades every month you renew, get notified on specials (if you give them your email address or let them text you with specials), and free product offers. And they do monthly gift giveaways! Super cool! A lady walks in with tote bags full of stuff. I help her open the door and she smiled and said, «thank you!» I ask if she needs any help and says, «thank you, i appreciate it but i got it» and walks in the back. For a quick second, i thought it was weird she walked in the back. I ask the girl if that was the owner, she smiled and said, «new owner.» I told her, «please tell her I’ve been to this salon a year or so ago and I can honestly tell you, that this place is 1,000 times better then it was before! I remember Megan, and you all are very professional and all know your job very well.»

Never typically write reviews but this place is absolutely amazing. I will always come here. Great customer service, amazing beds and the Beauty Bar was the added touch. five star would give them 10 stars if I could. The gal at the front desk was very friendly as well.

Upon walking in I was immediately greeted and welcomed. I’ve worked in tanning for the last 5 years at different companies and this one was clean and very well set up and they have great specials! :) I would so recommend coming here for my business!

A great place to tan! Meagan is super friendly and professional. The salon is always spotless and the tanning beds are the best! When you go in for a tan, ask for Meagan!

The two things to look for when selecting a tanning salon is cleanliness and the quality of bulbs. Straight Up Tanning exceeded my expectation in both areas. Talk about clean beds! Additionally the two times that I have tanned here (thus far) have yielded better results than four times at my old salon.
I purchased a package last week using the offer on Unilocal; in fact, I was surprised that they let me apply that special offer towards a monthly membership! Yipee! It was such an easy transaction… no ditzy16-​year old teen was working the desk, but rather a girl that was knowledgeable about tanning and made my sign up such a smooth process. How refreshing! She didn’t fumble when doing the calculations for my membership and knew exactly how to prorate a mid-​month package with ease.
They have a little vanity area in the back (to freshen up post tan) that I was shown when given the tour. You do have to buy goggles for $ 5 bucks as they do not offer them for sanitary reasons.
This is the best salon I have been to in years and I’m super stoked about their affordable memberships and my instant results !

Received my free tan today and can’t wait to go back! I’ve been tanning at the gym and it’s been just a waste of time. It felt great to feel results right away again! Going to purchase a monthly package asap. Can this Unilocal deal of $ 50 for $ 75 be used towards a monthly membership?

I’ve been there a few times. And I must say, the new owner knows what she’s doing. There are so many upgrades and it looks more modern then it use to! The current staff are much friendlier and know their stuff. They don’t just sell you something to make a sale. They sell you what suits you and your budget and they make sure you have the lotion you want vs the most expensive one. They always make sure you are taken care of. Great job to the new owner and staff! :D

Great pricing and service. I was referred here by my best friend and wasn’t disappointed. Went in for my first time and had a competent overview and tour of the facility. Also, I can’t be mad about getting a tan for free in the highest power bed as a first timer! No time limit on the pre-​tanning undress period, which is great because it sucks having to rush your clothes off and lotion on! I appreciate the standup beds as there was an article on yahoo yesterday about herpes and hpv being able to live and grow on tanning beds, which grossed me out in a major way.

My second visit here was much better! The bed was awesome. The manager is pretty cool and very knowledgeable. I love that they have a lot of standup options. They also have a few lay down beds for those who like to lay down. I used to prefer those but after trying the standup I like that you get the area under your butt and sides.

I’ve been to several tanning places here in town and Straight Up Tanning has by far had the best customer service, cleanest facility, and most importantly — I got the result I wanted.
Megan is just the sweetest girl and the prices are fair.
I highly recommend this place for a Mystic Tan! Their machines work well and you can avoid all the hassle of having to second guess what your results will be.
