This review is on Dawnell an amazing esthetician! Very personable and knowledgeable! I’ve been coming to the office twice a month for over a year now. Yes the reviews about the front desk staff being Less than helpful is true & I’ve had my fair share of issues with them but seeing Dawnell makes it all worth it! She is the ONLY reason I have kept coming. All the treatments she recommended to me have worked wonders! I’ve sent friends to her with a warnings about how the office is run. But they have been able to look past it and have returned to see Dawnell for more procedures. And if Dawnell ever left I would be forced to find another Dermatologist office. The front desk staff constantly look miserable and The turn over of staff there is so high it leads me to believe they must have very bad management running this office.
Again the 5stars review is on Dawnell based on her personality knowledge and superior esthetician skills.

Before I made an appointment I searched a good doctor. Well most of his reviews and the one I read his most likely a good doctor. Made an appointment, got there 15 mins early however got called after 1 ½ hour :(, took me into the room, questions me why I’m there. Doctor came in, asked me again what’s the problem (can’t he looked in my chart what’s the problem? Since I told one of the med assistant?)
To make it short, the med assistant came in and the Doctor telling me to apply this and that without telling me how much it’s cost. He never even examine my problem, he’s like four feet away. After being said and done in few minutes, told me to come back in a month. Went to their cashier Bought this kit worth $ 80,thought of trying since expensive!
Went to Walgreens and picked up the one they prescribed. One of the meds they prescribed worth $ 200 and they never even explain it to me in the office how much it’s cost! And insurance won’t cover it!
The Pharmacist told me that they have to call the doctors office and ask for the authorization because insurance won’t issue it and it’ll take like a week to wait. I said why they won’t cover it it’s a prescribed meds and doctor has signed it. So I called the office and told them what the pharmacist had told me. So I waited and waited til I went back to my next appointment. Went there early and hoping they’ll call me early. As I expected got called after an hour or so and I was tired for waiting since I came from my work.
They took me in, doctor came in, see my problem and said oh most of it are gone and I said that there’s one here that’s still here and he told me oh I’ll inject with this and should be gone in 4 weeks! And If that still be there then I’ll do a minor cut. So I just said okay politely.
Went to their billing, whoa!!! without explaining she told me had to pay $ 150, she never explained why I’m paying for amount. I didn’t go there for cosmetic, you mean that simple and tiny injection worth $ 150? That’s ridiculous! Plus I have insurance. What happened to my insurance? Can at least they’ll explain it?
Been to this dermatologist in Hawaii for 17 years and had no problem with this doctor. She even gave me a sample to start with. She even checked my problem although its visible for her in my fist visit. She made sure I understand every procedure. She spent time checking my problem. And I didn’t stay and waited that long. For entire appointment took only 40 minutes! At their billing? They explained everything what and not the insurance covered. This dermatologist name is Carla Nip-​Sakamoto. She’s really a great and good doctor to be with. That’s why I stayed with her for 17 years and I didn’t go anywhere. After my first visit just went back after 6 months then a year just to follow up everything.
I guess I need to find another derm doctor.

I was so disappointed in my appointment with Dr. Strimling. I called his office to schedule a preventative care screening and was told that my appointment would be covered by my insurance and would be coded as preventative care. Sounded good.
Then in my appointment with Dr. Strimling, he looked at me very quickly and just said, «you’re good.» I communicated that I have had several skin cancer areas removed in the past, but he didn’t give my appointment nor my concerns much time. He didn’t examine any of my skin areas or moles up close, and the whole appointment was about 2 minutes long. It was my first time at his office so I honestly thought that he would come back in the room and perform a full screening (like I have gotten in the past from other dermatologists). I was very disappointed.
But then I got a bill! $ 350! I called the office several times, and no one got back to me for 2 weeks (although the receptionists often told me they would get back to me that day – they never did). I had to call my insurance who told me that the office was at fault as they didn’t use the right code. Then Dr. Strimling’s office told me that that the receptionist who told me that my appointment was covered by my insurance «was old and she was wrong.» Uh… what? Over all I was stuck with a VERY EXPENSIVE bill ($ 150 NEW PATIENT FEE – WTF?) and I didn’t get any of my concerns taken care of. This place is a scam! And the Dr. was pretty creepy too. Go elsewhere!

This was the second visit to have some tattoos removed. Dawnelle is the best. Very friendly professional and caring. The price is great also. I’ll be returning bin 6 weeks or so for another treatment. Great job Dawnelle!

I believe that he is a great doctor. However, after absurdly long wait times in his office on multiple occasions, even with early morning appointments, I have decided to go elsewhere. Plan on taking a half day for even a simple appointment.

I’m not taking away any stars on my review, but I did want to warn anyone looking into the MiraDry procedure. don’t do it just yet. I feel like they will eventually improve this procedure so it really is a one time shot thing. It’s very pricey and only guarantees 80% success rate. this office offers a deal for half off the 2^nd procedure, but I am extremely hesitant to invest more money into it if it didn’t work at all the first time. I was at least hoping for some type of improvement and I didn’t see any after the first month. Don’t spend the money!

Been coming here for years and always polite friendly service and Dr Strimling has taken care of my skin cancers. Very rarely a long wait but sometimes it does happen.

So Dr. Strimling himself actually called me and left me a voice mail. Accused my pharmacist of being lazy because he is adamant that my insurance takes the discount card for Avar and that the pharmacist was too lazy to try. He also said that the pharmacist is able to fill a substitute for Avar. I was there when the rx tech tried to put it in and had trouble and gave it to the pharmacist to try. She tried for a while to push it through and then explained why it wouldn’t go through. He also explained in the voice mail that the Tretinoin is available in generic and that the ins. covers it because it is for acne and not ageing and that once again my pharmacist is too lazy to check it out. I just got off the phone with a 24hr pharmacy, the one I originally dropped the scripts off at and the tech said that they can’t substitute because there is no generic available and that if my ins. were to cover the Tretinoin that he would have to call them himself and explain that it is for acne and ageing. He then went on to say that he took my sensitive skin into consideration and told me that the Avar counteracts the effects of Tretinoin. I spoke with yet another pharmacist who said that it doesn’t and she said I need to use a moisturizer. So I think he is just being dishonest. And I’m sorry but calling my pharmacist lazy on the voicemail, not just once but twice is not professional at all. He also admitted on the voicemail that acne is not their money maker but rather botox and fillers are and that he is just trying to help me. And at the end of the voicemail he asked if I would amend my review because it is bad for business and he just wants to help. So here you have it, my amended review. Down to one star now.

Saw this doctor for the first time for annual skin exam. Very cursory exam, IMO. Also went back on another day for Botox and filler treatments at a cost of over $ 1000. I’m sorry to say that I notice little if any improvement. Also, they make you pay BEFORE the treatment, (I assume) in case you decide to run out the door afterward without paying. All in all, very disappointed and will definitely find a new dermatologist.

I like Dr. Strimmling, I really do. He does great work. Maybe that’s why he’s so busy and explains why I’ve been sitting here for an hour. I don’t know why they take you to the treatment rooms and forget about you. My appointment was at 10:45. It’s now 11:38…just chillin’.

I have been to lots of Doctors in Las Vegas and I will be reviewing them.
Yes DR Strimling was one of them and HE, His Staff as well as DR Handler are among the WORST.
Strimling is rough, and RUDE. He over charges and will damage your face if he is in one of his strange states of mind.
My first visit was just OK, but I returned because I had started the process of botox and fillers. They have you sign papers without giving you time to read them, by saying «This is just giving permission to to the procedure, hurry up and sign because the Doctor is coming in».LOL Then they make you WAIT and this is after you have already waited at least an HOUR past your appointment time just to get in the back. I was refused my records and still ave not got them to this day. AVOID DR STRIMLING AT ALL COST !!
It is my true belief that ANY good review here are FAKE or were posted by his staff.
I noticed several reviews went up that FAVOR him right after I saw him and this was because I had told his staff that I as going to post… Too Funny !!

After being unhappy with my initial results. I received a nice phone call from Dr Strimling offering his services to correct the problem for free! I’ve made an appointment ! Let’s see what happens ! Big points for courtesy …

My teen daughters saw esthetician Ashley. She was wonderful. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a facial or other like services. We have had facials in the past at cheaper places but this was so effective and took less time, I think that was due to the technology and products used. Ashley was also very personable, engaging my daughters in conversation which made them feel comfortable and welcome. They can’t wait to go back and I will be calling to make an appointment for myself too.

I have been a patient of Dr. Strimling for over a dozen years. Although he has addressed and removed things from my body that I have acquired through an active life in the sunshine, I primarily see him for an annual skincare wellness check and my face. I strive to have the most clear and beautiful skin on my face possible, all while fighting the signs of aging. I’m not interesting in hype, I want proven results.
I feel like I have got one really smart doctor who is very interested in the science of skincare. Although cosmetically making my skin the best it can be, his approach is very clinical and feel I am in great hands. He is nice, not pretentious, direct and I trust him.
Dr. Strimling’s line of product called Clair MD (formerly Clair 702, I think) is outstanding. Specifically, the Foaming Face Wash from his line is bar none the best skin cleanser I have ever used. Outside serum and sunscreen, it would be a beauty product I could not live without. It is gentle, non-​drying and eats off every drop of makeup on my face (including eye makeup) with one use. I cannot say enough about it.
His staff is extremely knowledgeable and always helpful as well.

A year ago I came to this place and had a consultation with an esthetician. After it I had Spectra laser treatments to reduce my acne scars.
I spent 1200 $. And had no result whatsoever.
Today I decided to see the doctor Strimling himself.
The beginning was not pleasant already, because his nurse had a horrible attitude as if she was doing me a favor by being there, she didn’t even reply, when I said «hello».
I was still hoping, that the doctor with all those awards and recognition will be great and will be able to address all of my concerns.
Well, he simply wasn’t. He didn’t even offered to shake my hand, like most doctors do, when they meet you.
I felt rushed, he spoke so fast, that I had to ask him to repeat. None of my concerns were addressed, I was brushed off with general answers and a bunch of pamphlets for most popular treatments, like if a doctor gives one pill to all for all sicknesses.
It was a complete waste of my time and my money.
The people in the office, including doctor Strimling, that I met today, and everybody who works they are very impersonal, and feels like all they want to do is to sell you a procedure, whether you need it or if it is going to be helpful of not.
He might be good for skin cancer or surgeries or whatever else. I will hope and pray, I will not need to be back to this business for anything.

So happy with my results!
I came in to get botox for the first time, and was very nervous about needles and what the results would look like. I did A LOT of research, and heard from many other doctors in the Vegas community that Dr. Strimling was the go to Derm for cosmetic and Botox.
When i saw the doctor, he made me feel so comfortable and i couldn’t believe how painless everything went! I was blown away at how easy the process was and the results are very natural and way more than I expected! Dr. Strimling was so helpful and really took the time to answer my questions and really is an expert in his field. I couldn’t believe how much time he spent with me and I will be going back to him again for all of my other fillers and Botox in the future.

My daughter had been getting a few small scaley patches so her pediatrician told me I should bring her to a dermatologist. I saw Dr Handler and he was nice but I felt a bit gypped. He saw her for maybe 2 – 3 minutes and said that it looked like psoriasis and told me to use moisturizer on her. That’s kinda what I was thinking anyways.
I had some issues with the bill going to collections after paying it but I was recently advised that it would be handled after posting a complaint here. Thank you for the follow up.

I have decided to give Dr Strimling a second chance and must say my experience was great.
I did not have to sit in the waiting room longer than 5 minutes, which is very important to me and a breath of fresh air compared to all the other doctors that I have visited in Las Vegas.
The procedure was very painless I will definitely return to Dr Strimling office for other treatments.
