This was my first tattoo. I’ve been wanting to get one for a long time and finally decided that a long weekend in Vegas with friends would be the right time. I did my research and decided that I wanted Austin from Studio 21 to do my tattoo. I called to make an appointment and the woman who helped me on the phone was patient and answered all of my questions. I sent in art samples and ideas via email, got an email reminder about my appointment and they were ready for me when I arrived for my appointment. The shop is clean and neat and not intimidating. Austin was friendly and laid back and made me feel very comfortable. He had a pencil concept sketch which he showed me to make sure he and I were on the same page in terms of design and he said he would draw the design right on my leg. He drew the design and checked with me that it looked right and then we got started. The tattoo I got was gorgeous and exactly what I wanted. The experience was relaxed and stress-​free and the prices were reasonable. When I’m ready for my next tattoo I will definitely be going back to Austin at Studio 21.

I had the BEST experience getting a tattoo here and I highly recommend it to everyone! The staff is very welcoming and kind! I got a Star Wars tattoo yesterday, which is something that I’ve wanted for a long time. Swarm was my artist and he brilliantly drew up something that was even better than I could have imagined. This was my first big tattoo with color and I was a little nervous about the pain but he was very friendly and we talked through most of it which put me at ease. He’s also a huge Star Wars fan and so getting my tattoo done by him meant even more and I can’t imagine going anywhere else for Star Wars tattoos!

This is my second review, I rarely take the time to write them, but these guys deserve it! My Aunt and I are not from Vegas, and we were a little worried about getting tattooed at a shop we have never seen, or been to. Let me tell you, this was the BEST experience we’ve ever had at a tattoo shop! The shop was very clean, and everyone who worked there was very warm and welcoming. I felt right at home and very at ease. Swarm and Alan were Our artists. They took they’re time and you could tell they really cared about us, and cared about giving us the best tattoo possible! They were friendly and the guy who worked the front desk was hilarious! (I’m sorry I don’t remember his name). I am beyond grateful and thankful for the great experience, especially because we were getting a memorial tattoo for my Aunts son who passed away last year. Thank you so much for making our experience so memorable and nice! You guys rock!

Tyson is an awesome tattoo artist!!! I’ve gotten 5 tatttoos from him, 2 sessions for 1 tattoo. He has a light hand, one of my tattoos is on my rib cage. No pain (well very little). He The shop is very clean and everyone is very friendly! I will definitely continue going to them for my tattoos! My hubby has also had 4 tattoos from Tyson. (2 sessions on 2 different tattoos) Oh and let me add my son also got a tattoo from Tyson also 2 sessions. We give Tyson an idea of what we’re looking for, he’ll draw it up and show up and if there are any changes he will do it. His ideas are always better than what I originally had in my head. I love all our tattoos!!! Thank you Tyson!!!

I left another review for Swarm and Nick and I just yesterday got a tattoo from Austin and it was awesome as well as a good price. He has been my favorite artist there so far (by a little) and he’s also really nice. I gave him an idea and he took it to another level. The style was a little different than expected, but I’m glad for it! It’s unique and I will be back.

Excellent customer service. Friendly and grounded people who are easy to talk to when you walk in. Tyson has been creating a masterpiece of a biblical story starting on my boyfriend at the shoulders down the chest and on his stomach/​hip. Tyson does great shadowing work and takes his time to get it right. This tattoo isn’t done yet. It’s a big project that will eventually take over half his whole body.
Tyson is a really cool person, answered and explained all my questions thoroughly and is an exceptional artist. He’s our go-​to tattoo artist. And we don’t even live in Vegas!

Charlie gets 5 stars for being an overall cool guy, a no-​nonsense old school artist with a real eye for creating a unique piece. The shop is large and clean with a bunch of talented artists if you take the time to look at their examples of work they’ve done. If you’re in the market for a new tattoo or cover-​up, skip the tourist traps (and the tetanus) floating all around the Strip, and give them a call and make an appointment to get some ideas put down on paper.

Well lets see here… Third Tattoo… Best Overall experience so far~! Definitely wont be going back to back to the place in Denver, and the place in San Diego My artist was very good, but the front desk girl was just terrible. I wont even begin to go into…

The Whole shop is set up really cool, and has unique shirts, Hoodies, Jewelery, Purses, even to go after Care Kits (in wicket awesome containers) which is a PERFECT idea~! So convenient~!
Phil is the coolest guy ever hes a freakin genius~! You gotta see the stuff he comes up with~!
I was gonna get tattoos in each place I travel to, but now I just want to to go to phil ha :)
It was the most pain free tattoo so far. I really thought it was gonna be painful because I was on my moon, and it was my knuckles, but no it was actually the most pain free place so far~ Which makes me less nervous about the Sacred Geometry tatts I want to get on my palms– Though that could be a Completely different ballgame~!
Loved the music, and the people I encountered at the shop.
I think I smiled for good solid two hours :)
The front Desk girl was good at her job, and has wicket awesome hair and whatnot.
Dont forget to tip your artists~!

Very comfortable atmosphere, knowledgable artists and fair priced! I will continue to get more and more tattoos from Studio 21. Nick Bones and Mike Biggs do second to none work. Highly recommend to any and everybody!

This place is a 5 star and beyond, I would really give it a 10 star if I could. Came in from AZ to celebrate our wedding anniversary of 25 years .
All the way from my phone conversations to walking in the door this place was outstanding, they helped with all the right design to making us feel very comfortable. It’s clean, they took care of everything up front and honest, talking to us right through everything .the front of the staff was so funny, engaging helpful thanks Joey. Hopefully that’s The right name
We needed someone make my husband relax with getting matching tattoos, first one for my Husband., Nick made him feel right at ease, my family all came with, and my Daugther and her boyfriend decided as well to get matching tattoos as well, this was a great experience, was able to see everyone at once. We took so many picture going in between rooms and laughing with our artist .
This is really is the best

Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great place to get a tattoo. I went in for my first tattoo, nervous as hell and everyone there was funny and made me relax. Nick Bones did my tattoo, awesome guy. Heading back in a few weeks to add more. Thanks so much for the great experience.

Here’s some advice– do NOT let JaSon PaXman touch you! You will end up with something 5 times as big, which equals 5 times the $$$… Oh, and here’s a tip for the business: DO NOT let your tattoo artists text while tattooing! Jason must’ve texted/​talked to his needy wife (Donna), I believe her name is, at least 7 times. He was rude, not the least bit helpful & my co-​worker left in tears. We live in SoCal, but have an office in LV & stumbled upon this place– bad idea! I look to Unilocal for everything and this place I didn’t, which was a big mistake. This is my first negative review ever on Unilocal– which should say a lot.

First of all the studio is clean and has a fun yet professional atmosphere. I can’t say enough about Mike Biggs. His lines are so crisp, he is a true artist, and he is very light on the needle. I’m a wimp and these tattoos were very bearable. I had 2 terrible tattoos that he did a cover-​up on. He covered them both with beautiful art that doesn’t look like a cover-​up. I couldn’t be happier with the results. Also the manager Joey always makes you feel at ease and welcomed. Love Studio 21!

So extremely happy with my piece done by Tyson! I couldn’t be more amazing by how well it came out! He is amazing not only his work but he has a great personality that makes sitting there for 4 hours enjoyable! Lol I would definitely recommend Tyson for any of your work! The studio all together is really amazing and they have a great staff :) definitely where I’ll be getting the rest of my tattoos done.

Couldn’t have asked for a better studio and experience for my first tattoo. Clean studio, friendly staff and amazing artists. SWARM was my artist and needless to say I am more than happy with my ‘tiger’ — exceeded all my expectations. I will be recommending Studio 21 to anyone I know.

Beyond great experience tonight at Studio 21. No longer a virgin, woot! Nick was great, I love it. Place was nice inside and outside, clean, eclectic. Already planning the next one, thank you Nick. May the force be with you.

A friends, brothers, great aunts, cousin,
twice removed referred me to Austin at Studio 21. I probably sat on that referral for a year.
I finally got the courage to call them and schedule. Before I pick up the phone I’m expecting to have some rough man answer the phone and I speak 2 word sentences to get my point across (you know, so I don’t confuse him).
I was warmly greeted by Joey (I think that’s what his name was) or should I say my new BFF, when he answered the phone. He answered all of my questions throughly and without hesitation. I felt like I was talking to my brother. I’m really critical of people’s professionalism whether it be at Target or at a tattoo studio. I prefer for people to have pride in their job and Joey surpassed my expectations by a long shot! I was super stoked for my appointment.
So here I am sitting in the waiting room waiting for my artist. I suddenly get nervous. Am I really getting this tattoo? Yes. Yes, I, am. I already paid my deposit. Naturally any reputable place would make you pay a deposit to hold your appointment. Palms are sweating, heart starts to beat a little faster… I think I might leave. I’m going to make a break for the door, eff my 50 bones… but behold! Austin! My tattoo artist that I booked with. Maybe I’ll stay?
He was so friendly. I told him what I wanted and he was «so pumped» about my idea. Listen, I’m not artistic in any way, shape, or form nor do I pretend to be one so when he suggested to change my idea up a but I just went with it. I’m so glad that I listened to him!
The tattoo stung a smidgen but in the area that I got it in I didn’t expect anything less. Austin did a wonderful job keeping things light and making me laugh throughout my appointment. I’m assuming this is a Mom and Pop shop because I think his Mom came in briefly during our appointment. Another big bonus in my book.
Wrapping this long a$$ review up

Originally, I gave this place a 5 star review. The place is clean and they do have good artists.
I was out of town for business for several months and recently called to see if my regular artist was available. Their usual counter girl apparently isn’t there any more which makes me sad because she was rad. Not sure who the new person is that books appointments but she’s rude. There are MANY other tattoo shops in town where I will gladly spend my money.
So, I decided to consider that maybe she was having a bad day. That’s not the case. I went down there on a Wednesday to see if they had info as to the new shop where my regular tattooer went to and to book a separate appointment with one artist there because of what he specializes in. The woman who was at the counter barely looked at me and was rude. She acted like it was a huge bother to even talk.
Come to also find out that my regular artist isn’t there anymore and they are purposely telling his clients that they don’t know what shop he’s at out of unprofessional spite.
No thanks. I’ve been getting tattooed for over 20 years and would rather stick with good people with CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS and PROFESSIONALISM.

I waited about 6 months to do this review to make sure that I was still happy with my work… and I am. This place was awesome. Friendly staff and extremely skilled artists. My artist was Nick Bones and he was very patient, skilled and did a great job. I was looking for someone VERY talented in the field of realism… and since it was going to be there forever, it needed to be done RIGHT!
Back in June 2014, I was paddling out to the fishing grounds (along with 5 friends) in a kayak 4 miles off the coast of Big Sur. When I got about 200 yards away from where we were going to fish, I heard a small splash behind me. I turned around and there was a huge, 20ft great white shark about 1 – 2 feet directly behind my kayak. Dorsal fin completely above water, I whipped my head back to straight and knew I was dead. However, I kept my cool and waited for the worst to happen, but it didn’t. As the shark sat behind me, I heard something else… a 2^nd great white (about 14 feet long) to my left. As soon as the 2^nd shark came into the picture, the larger one that was previously behind me, decided to swim within about 3 inches of my boat on my right… and there she stayed. Most of her body out of the water, floating on the surface watching me; wondering if I’m food, if I’m a threat or if I’m none of the above. She sat right next to me for about a minute and I stared directly into her eye the whole time… waiting for her to make her move. Was my boat going to get bit, bumped, slammed from below? Nothing… she decided I wasn’t a threat and slowly started to dive and moved on… missing my kayak by millimeters and almost tipping me into the water as her tail went under.
Since then… I have thanked my lucky stars to be alive. Being 4 miles away from shore… if anything would’ve happened to me, I wouldn’t have survived. Since that day, I have had the image of her right next to my boat, starting at her big black eye and scar on her nose, burned into my brain. I sought out someone like Nick to transfer her likeness onto my body as a tribute… a «thank you» to the shark for letting me live and a reminder to never take another day for granted. Nick NAILED it and the tattoo is amazing. I don’t get ink that often… but if I decided to get more work done, I would definitely go see Nick again.

Went there based on Unilocal reviews to have a tattoo done that my daughter had designed. Luckily I was able to get in without an appointment. When I showed them what I wanted to have done Charlie (the owner) came out and said he wanted to do the tat because he liked the design and the story behind it I won’t bore with the details but suffice to say I asked my daughter to design something that would make me think of her when looked at it.
Charlie was the best. I sat for 3 hours and the time flew by because he was such a nice personable guy. He also did a killer job on my tat. I couldn’t be happier it was exactly as I wanted and the price was much more reasonable then you’d get on the strip I should add I live here in Vegas and will definitely be going back for my next tattoo.
