The 5 stars are for: Becky, R. N at the ER Room, Morgan Registration, and Paul X-​Ray Technician. If I could give a 0 star for the ER M.D. I saw today I would do it.

During my visit to Las Vegas I had some palpitations of my heart over Memorial Day Weekend from the beginning response of the EMS and Fire Dept and the staff at Ceasar Palace right down to the hospital staff they all playd a major part to really take care of my needs and reassured me and my worries that I will be okay and things were not as bad as could have been Dr McDreamy (unsure of his name) and his nursing staff were very courteous and patient over all helpful towards me and my cousin and I left feeling better to enjoy the rest of my visit to Las Vegas Thank You All.

I am currently here in billing picking up a friend for alcohol intoxication and would like to share the fact that this hospital has been EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL on numerous levels.
First of all, as the friends who brought the patient to the ED I would have appreciated some reassurance as to the fact that our friend was doing okay and that she was being taken care of. However we were told that no information including her current status would be disclosed and that information would only be shared when she was discharged (which ended up being 12 hours later).
Second, upon discharge Billing immediately begins the conversation with the fact that «insurance never covers alcohol intoxication visits» and that we would be stuck with a $ 3000 bill once insurance denied the claim –OR– we could pay $ 300 immediately out-​of-​pocket and get a 90% discount! Perhaps I don’t understand how hospitals work but this seems like a very large discrepancy in pricing. Such a difference in billing may even come across as a scam…
And third the billing staff is extremely rude and unprofessional. Our worker became angry when we asked to call our insurance company to discuss the claim, and repeatedly stated that they planned on filing the claim in a way that insurance would not approve and that we would be better off just paying the $ 300. Not only did this behavior come across as unprofessional, but I honestly felt like we were being scammed the entire time we were in the office.
Given my experience I personally do NOT trust this hospital and would strongly recommend AGAINST coming here if given any choice in the manner.

I came here after being assaulted by 3 idiots at the Marquee day club, and the staff here was awesome! I was in and out within an hour. I had to get stitches and it was a breeze. Awesome staff.

This is for nurse Tammy on the P.I.C.U level. I’m so grateful with how helpful she was. She’s one of those people that are truly dedicated to their job and committed to her patients! She was so kind and loving with my daughter when we stayed there and treated her as if she were her own daughter. She took great care of our Hoku and was very informative whenever I had questions. Also spent two hours with baby and I giving me mother advice and even life advice. I can’t thank her enough for all she did she deserves a raise!

I am currently sitting in a bed at Sunrise as I’m writing this. Yesterday was the absolute worst. I had a nurse named CAROL who was on the OU floor. Talk about TERRIBLE Customer service! She showed no empathy whatsoever. I am in constant pain because of what I have, and she didn’t give two effs about how I was feeling. Then once the doctor came in and gave my med orders, she still wouldn’t give them to me! So the Dr had to go and tell her to give it. Also, the charge nurse came in to see how my stay had been in that area, and I told her about CAROL. Needless to say, CAROL got in trouble, and I was moved to a more comfortable unit. MICAH has been great in making sure I am comfortable and has been on time with my meds. I will update more as time goes on and I’m here. It sucks, because I can’t really go anywhere else because of my insurance. So I have to deal with these assholes. Ok, rant over.

My cardiologist ordered a test that must be performed in a hospital. Sunrise is where they sent me. Prior to the test I did my pre-​admission information via phone. On the day of the appointment I arrived about 30 minutes before I was supposed to. I also realized that I forgot the doctor’s orders. They were prompt and polite. They were able to get me registered and get the needed paperwork from the doctor’s office. I was then directed to the surgical waiting room. I checked in with the desk there and was called back in about 15 minutes. Each member of the staff made sure to introduce themselves by name. Several times prior to the procedure I was checked on by the patient advocate in addition to the nurses. I was actually able to get my test started a little bit ahead of time. The nurses and doctors were wonderful. They did their best to calm my fears. The test was successful and then I was on my way. They also provide you with a passcode so friends/​relatives can check on you while you’re there (if you chose to give them the number). It was convenient because my ride was able to time picking me up perfectly.

This was the worst hospital I’ve ever been to. The nurses on the staff in the ER were some of the meanest and rudest individuals I’d encountered in years. We had the pleasure of having nurse jaqueline. At one point she was yelling in my face as I was in extreme pain. Telling me that because I was not dieing that I was ok. The nurses there seemed to have this self righteous sadistic attitude. Other patients having pain needing help they yelled at and told them to wait. Please if you have another option for care go there. These nurses truly need to find a new profession as they do not care about people in general. Robert was the only nice nurse he was professional and had a nice manner of explaining things to patients. Anyways I hope this helps others in the future.

First I’m a breast cancer survivor. I just had my reconstruction surgery and developed an infection. My surgeon told me to go to the nearest ER. It just so happened that Sunrise was it. I’ve heard great things about their children’s hospital so going in I wasn’t worried. The hospital is older, I understand they have a lot of traffic. Many people (locals and visitors) end up there in the ER. I sat for over 5 hours waiting for the ER doctor to review my labs and xray to tell me what was going on and in the mean time I had a fever and my chest felt like it was on fire. I was in pain an they just had me sitting in a chair. I spent over 12 hours in a side room of the ER waiting to be moved upstairs into a bed.
I think that the CNA’s and RN’s might have too many people to care for. Every time I hit the call button it would take them longer than 10 mins to come to my room. I had antibiotics being pumped through IV’s for 7 days. Two times my vein burst so they had to redo it. On the night before I was discharged my the floating RN had to locate a vein in which he could start the IV. After 5 failed attempts I finally asked for a different RN to come and do it.
I’m grateful for the treatment, and that they were able to get my infection under control enough for me to go home and go see my own surgeon but I will never go back. I would rather drive the 20 mins to a different hospital.

So my son was taken here last night to the emergency for a dislocated finger. After keeping him there all night and sedating him they ransacked his wallet stole most of his money and refused to file a claim or take any blame for their actions!!! Never go here if you don’t have to. He’s from

Well, let’s see… I’ve been on the phone trying to find out if my dad was admitted today… and it’s been 25 minutes on hold. I heard the digi-​person say I had one person in front of me, twenty minutes ago. Then, 15 minutes ago that digi-​helper said there was no one in front of me, and yet… no real person has answered the phone. Service? If hospital services are important to you… well, you might try stitching it up yourself. Just sayin

The ENTIRE staff (this means the doctors, too) should be required to take and pass classes on bedside manner/​customer service. I’ve never been so unimpressed with a nursing staff as I’ve been since experiencing the cluster fuck that is Sunrise hospital. They have ZERO sense of urgency. Instead of saying «Let me find out for you», the answer is «I don’t know», «I’m not allowed to know that», «You’ll have to wait for your doctor/​surgeon/​etc. to tell you». Nobody is willing to actually contact or tell me who to contact in order to get the information I’m seeking. They can’t even be bothered to respond to a call button being pressed by a patient! Instead, they sit around their station, talking about their personal lives. WTF?! The standard of care in this hospital is SO disappointing that I cannot believe these people are allowed to practice medicine. TOTAL FAIL. This is where the incompetent and lazy go to work in the medical field.

I had an accident in my shop that required several stitches in my forehead.
I received quick, immediate care into the trauma unit, All of the nurses were caring, calm and attentive to my care.
I would like to especially thank Dr. Ann Miller M.D. w/​Fremont Emergency Services. She was very professional, calm and reassuring while I was being worked on. I really appreciate her being there «in my hour of need».
I am really thankful to have a hospital so close that is able to give excellent emergency care when needed.

So I thought I could give this place negative stars but one should be enough I guess.
This is the worst hospital I’ve been to. I’m still waiting here to see the doctor’s face after waiting for more than 8hrs. And it’s Emergency!!! Wtf.
And then they take my mom to see the doctor, and they take us to this room with the doctor talking with 10 other patients at the same time inside a circle… like what? Where’s the patient’s privacy ??! And then while talking to one of the patients, the doctor is like so what do you want me to do? «You want something for the pain ?» WTF aren’t you the doctor ?? You don’t know how to help people ??!. NEVER COMING BACK HERE. This guy yelling and complaining in front of everybody in the waiting room saying that this was the worst place ever was totally right.

Went into the er last night and walked out after a horrific experience. Had chest pain, shortness of breath and extreme coughing, vomiting. During the ekg could hear the er staff talking about another employee and about her «bitching».
Then went to vitals and then to wait. I went into a very bad coughing fit and another patient went to get help. You could tell the rn was annoyed and asked what the problem was. I gasped out I couldn’t breathe. She looked at me and said, «You’re breathing fine or you wouldn’t be able to speak. You’re just uncomfortable, that’s normal. You’ll be fine.»
Last straw was when during my lab draw when the tech couldn’t find the vein and was fishing for it and told him to stop because he was rough and hurting me, he pulled out the needle and sighed and glared at me. I did allow another tech to try but he missed. I left after that.
It seems all the employees I had the pleasure of meeting or overhearing were there because they had to be. Even if I were in a serious crash and dying I’d never go back. There are other hospitals to care for your critical needs, avoid this one.

My mother was here on vacation when she started experiencing shortness of breath and major chest pain. She admitted herself into sunrise medical at 7 p. m and it is now 8:15 a. m and she is still waiting outside in the lobby. It’s so frustrating to have to wait over 5 plus hours when she is in major life threatening pain. Simply awful! I wouldn’t recommend

First time here and boy is it busy and crowded. I went here for chest pain and shortness of breath and was taken to the back right away.
They did all the necessary tests and staff were okay. Doctor explained everything to me and asked me if I had any questions or concerns.
I arrived at about 9:00pm and it’s almost 11:30 and I’m just waiting for paperwwork and my prescriptions.
Although I was in the back I never received a bed because it was too crowded. But it was NOT too uncomfortable either.
Thank God I wasn’t admitted and glad I wasn’t here too long.
Oh and it’s pretty descent inside and not dirty and dingy looking.

Hospital stays & ER’s are rarely ever pleasant, & there’s probably no ER in the world where you won’t hear the horrific screams of other patients. Whatever. I thought Sunrise was pretty awful. My friend that’s studying to become a doctor at UNLV says that they have the best NICU doctors in Vegas, but I really don’t care. There are other factors that come into play.
We were told to bring in our son, only a few days old & 6+ lbs. back in May 2015, to Sunrise, because of the rising bilirubin levels in his blood (from jaundice). They extracted blood to get his bilirubin levels. Within the span of a few hours, they would do this again, & again, & again, & again, & I felt helpless.
It was actually not so much the bilirubin that was the concern at that point, we were told, because the bilirubin levels were gradually dropping: it was the salts in his blood. It didn’t look like my son had a lot of blood to give at 6+ lbs., & there was no missing the size of the Vacutainers they were filling up with his blood. They were regular-​sized, the same ones they use for us adults, & not, as I imagined they might be, the size of maybe. perfume sample vials. I guess that’s the minimum amount that they need. I asked 1 of the ER doctors if my son was gonna be OK. He casually leaned against the table, a gesture he probably believes works real well in calming down hysterical parents, & explained that my son’s salts were (consistently) off in the lab results. Or it could be their lab equipment.
Or it could be their lab equipment…
WTF, yo? I had to stop myself from wondering out loud if I could extract 2 gallons of his blood to use in my own home science experiment. How about they MAKE SURE it’s the equipment, or NOT the equipment, & not using my son’s blood?
After we were transferred to St Rose, they did further blood tests; there were never any ‘off’ results with my son’s salt levels (I had to ask because they didn’t even bring it up); I have to assume that it was Sunrise’s crappy equipment that gave those results.
For whatever it’s worth, the nurses & other ER aides were great. The 2 stars here are for the care & attention that they gave us, from getting us pillows to make us comfy to making sure that our emergency transfer to St Rose would be covered by our insurance. The nurses of Sunrise really were nothing short of stellar.
Some snail mail from Sunrise came shortly after. I was on a Platinum PPO plan, so most of it was shouldered by our insurance company. The bill they slapped us with was for over $ 11,000. That much for a few hours in their wonderful haven of an ER. We’re still paying that bill.

This review is for my ER visit only. Arrived at about 5:30am, got vitals checked, and called to collect my billing and insurance info right away. However, I didn’t get seen by a Dr. until HOURS later. I was finally able to check out and leave at 3:30pm. 10 HOURS?! Just ridiculous!!! Felt like I was in jail for the day. Don’t get me wrong, all the staff was great but thanks to the 10 hours of my life I wasted, I will never recommend anyone to come to this ER ever, nor will I.
My mother had my baby sister here, and was also later hospitalized for something else. For her, both those stays at this hospital were great.
So unless if you are having a baby, or look like you are dying and it REALLY is a life threatening emergency, don’t expect to have a great time here.

Absolutely ridiculous! My wife was taken to the hospital for having a little too much to drink. Ok, I get it. She needs to hydrate and sober up. But you mean to tell me to put a little IV on her, and keep here there for less than 3 hours results in costing $ 5,500??? FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS??? She wasnt dying and she could have definitely sobered up on her own.
She was taken from the Encore hotel. I believe this is a contract/​side business/​scam these hotels and hospitals pull to generate revenue. To bring in as many people to the hospital as they can to charge everyone $ 5,000 for a 2 – 3 visit. I better hope I don’t get shot or run over in Vegas because I’m sure that visit will cost me just shy of a million dollars.
I thought when they took my wife they were looking out for her best interest. I now see they were just looking out for their pockets.
