Sunset Gardens

We got married here this past weekend. My fiancé and I began planning our wedding late last year when we were living in Alaska. We never were able to visit the venue, have a cake tasting, food tasting, or anything before the big day. We were NOT disappointed. The outdoor ceremony area was absolutely gorgeous. Our wedding began at 8pm right when the sun was setting, and the lights in the trees and gazebo area was gorgeous, and we didn’t even do any extra decorating! I can’t imagine how pretty it would be with flowers or something extra. The reception area was right next to the outdoor ceremony, and again it was beautiful. We opted not to do any extra table decorations (ie centerpieces, flowers, etc) and all of our guests could not stop talking about how great the venue was. If you are worried about the venue, don’t be! It was beautiful!
Now for the cake. Our wedding package included a basic cake, with upgrades optional with a charge. We decided to get a cake that cost $ 100 extra (fresh flowers and a cake stand with a premium flavor). It was not only gorgeous, but completely delicious. It was a 3 tier cake with two different flavors, red velvet and white chocolate raspberry. They were both awesome. My picky grandma who doesn’t like red velvet loved it.
The food. Now honestly, I didn’t have a lot of time to eat (pictures, guests visiting, etc). Appetizers: fresh fruit, crab puffs, and eggrolls. These I did eat, all of them, and they were all phenomenal.
Main dishes: Prime rib, pasta primavera, chicken marsala. Unfortunately I didn’t get a chance to eat much of this, but my guests couldn’t stop commenting on the prime rib, most saying it was the best they had ever eaten.
Sides: Asparagus and roasted red potatoes. Again, I didn’t get a chance to eat much of this, but we did get complements, especially on the asparagus.
DJ Syd. The DJ was awesome, very responsive to the guests’ requests and music preferences. He was funny too and really meshed well with our whole family! Our guests also commented on how they really liked him.
Finally, my bridesmaids and I got ready before the ceremony in the room available to us. It was really nice to have that there, us girls had an amazing time with the complementary champagne and lots of mirrors!
Overall I couldn’t have been happier with this wedding! I was so worried about how the venue would turn out and whether or not all of the random wedding decoration accessories I brought along would fit with the venue and the people at Sunset Gardens did an amazing job. As soon as I arrived to get ready before the ceremony, my stress melted away. If you are considering this location, go for it!

Absolutely amazing! Exceeded all of our expectations by far. Where to start… The whole process was made so simple and stress free. The venue and atmosphere was gorgeous. The pastor was great! The people who set up our decorations did a great job at doing so. The food was beyond delicious. The cake was gorgeous and definitely not your average wedding cake. All of my guests are still talking about it 2 weeks later how good the food and cake was. DJ Syd was perfect… Literally did the best job had everyone dancing ALL night long. My dad is pretty reserved and doesn’t usually dance but he danced all night long he really listened to our choice in music too played the dinner playlist we had put together. All around there is no other word I can use to describe our special day at sunset gardens but «perfect». Highly recommend to everyone looking for a beautiful venue at such a fair price! The Photo booth was also a fun way to get all the guests involved and we got so busy with everything that night the lady running the booth actually came out of her way to ask us for a picture since we hadn’t gotten the chance to take one yet. If I could give 10 stars I would!!!

Sunset Gardens is really a beautiful place. We enjoyed every minute of our wedding thanks to everyone who helped. The cake was delicious, the food was outstanding, our DJ kept the party going and everyone dancing. I’ve never been so satisfied with everything. Thank you for giving me the wedding of my dreams. Tony worked with us even after we told him out guest count went up. We made changes to the menu literally a day before the wedding and they didn’t even hesitate.

We had our wedding at Sunset Gardens on April 2, 2016. The planning process was made simple by Tony and his team. I kept feeling as though I should be stressed out planning a wedding but didn’t stress one bit. The flowers from Petals were amazing! Exceeded our expectations. The cake also turned out better than we could have imagined. On the wedding day we had Samantha to coordinate and keep things rolling. She was amazing!!! Calm, organized and so much fun!
The DJ left a bit to be desired; mis-​spoke our name at the end of the ceremony. Said we were Mr. and Mrs. (Insert my maiden name) not new married name. That was disappointing. He also forgot to play the music as we walked out from our ceremony. Luckily our videographer dubbed the music in for the video.
Our wedding turned out to be everything we dreamed of at a great price. Highly recommend Sunset Gardens.

I had my wedding here last weekend on 3÷20÷2016 and it was beautiful! I wanted a small wedding without the cheesiness of other chapels with Elvis as our witness lol. The whole staff here was very friendly, professional, and made us feel very special on this special occasion. If i could do it all over again I would choose this chapel again. Thank you everyone at Sunset Gardens for making this day special!

We had our wedding this month at Sunset Gardens with 50 guests and it was absolutely amazing! Tony and his team will guide you through everything. Upon arrival of our guests they were all greeted inside and brought up outside where we were taking pictures. The place looks amazing during nighttime with all the lights they have. We spent a good amount if time taking picture with me and my wife, with friends and family, flower girls, etc.
The best part of all of this was that one price included flowers, photography, food, open bar, music DJ, table decorations, minister and there were discounts for a hair and tuxedo if needed. My wife utilized her discount for a hair which was right next to our venue.
Our photographer Spencer took a lots of images of us and our guests. All together we received about 380 images! This was also included in our price.
Our ceremony started in their chapel, beautifully decorated which was all included and our guest were very impressed. After our ceremony guests were taken to reception which was right next to the chapel, very convenient for our guests. They were greeted by beautifully decorated tables.
Our DJ helped us with music selection and all of our guests were dancing and the food was amazing. People were going for 2nds and 3rds as they liked the food very much. Staff was very attentive and they made sure all is taken care of.
Our guests were impressed and we have received compliments on the food as well as on the venue and staff.
I highly recommend Sunset Gardens. Thank you all at Sunset Gardens making our special day even more special.

We got married here 3-​19-​2016 .it was amazing. Our friends are already asking us to do it all over again at the same venue in five years! Lol Everyone is so professional. Tony really makes sure everything goes perfect. The venue itself is beautiful. it made our night magical. Our guests are still raving about the food! Everything was delicious.(get the prime rib). The DJ was great. Kathy the cake lady is a sweetheart, and her cake was to die for! I really wish we could do it all over again. I wouldn’t change a thing. Thank you Tony and staff for making our wedding one to remember.

I will have to say, my husband & I had a beautiful experience here. We’re not really traditional. Just kind of go with the flow types & the staff made everything easy peasy for us. The staff was great in coordinating everything. Sunset Gardens offers different packages for whatever you’re looking for from quick and simple to having an extravagant wedding. Our wedding was simple and nice, just how we wanted it to be. The photographer did a great job taking over 100 photos. Beautiful gardens & chapel.

Just booked our wedding today for Sept. We met with Tony the owner. I was very impressed. The facility is stunning and Tony is awesome. They have been in business for 33 years and he’s had the same staff for 30 years. Whether you are planning an event a little further out of your original venue falls through call Sunset Gardens. They have a bridal boutique, tux rental shop, florist, photographer and a salon in site. The prices are amazing too. I’m sooooo excited I can’t wait today I do in front of our family and friends in this amazing venue!!!

I feel bad, I should of wrote this last year but with life so busy… I did not want to miss this opportunity to write this review. We got married there December 6, 2014 and it was absolutely Spectacular!!! Tony and his staff were simply amazing! We had a Christmas wedding and I could of not of asked for anything better! I was amazed and so happy with all that came with the plan we picked. The cake was delicious and I wish now I would have eaten more but I was so nervous! ha ha. The DJ and photographer were awesome! My pictures turned out beautifully! I highly recommend Sunset Gardens! Thank you so much for making this part of our memories!!!

We had our wedding there on 12÷18÷15. Tony and his crew did an amazing job and we felt totally at ease the entire night. We had a small snag the day before the wedding with our personal minister and Tony was able to handle the problem with complete ease. Our guests raved about the food, especially the prime rib, and everyone said the location looked magical. We couldn’t have asked for better service and location. Thank you to everyone at Sunset Gardens!!!

We got married here on 11.06.15 and received many compliments as our wedding being one of the best weddings our guests ever went to and we truly had an amazing time! Just a list of pros and cons:
Pros:
— I had a custom cake made and it turned out beautifully and tasted DELICIOUS!
— The food was great, YES the prime rib really is that good!
— The bar was on point, good beverage selection. I had a few custom requests in advance and they were added to the bar.
— Our DJ Dale was great. We had a multi-​cultural wedding (4 different cultures) and he worked with us to ensure what we wanted ran smoothly.
— The newly remodeled gazebo for The Garden Room is really beautiful.
— The venue has a nice variety of linens that come with the package we chose, so we didn’t need to upgrade.
— They were accommodating with us bringing in our own vendors (Floral, up-​lighting, photo booth and videographer) as well as our own wedding details.
— Our pictures were beautiful!
— The bartender and servers were great. Professional, courteous and very attentive.
Cons:
— There were times during the planning process, I felt rushed. I understand they’ve been in the business for over 30 years and they have fine-​tuned their way of making their venues work. I just wished that some of my preferences weren’t easily dismissed or «suggested otherwise».
— With our package we received a $ 300 credit for floral, which I ordered an «ombré» of flower petals for the aisles. The vendor brought a big bag of mixed petals and left them on one of the tables without informing the venue. Tony had to drop a bunch of petals along the aisle after my bridal party walked but before I came out.
— It was brought to our attention after the reception that a few of our guest cards came up missing. When trying to figure out what happened and speaking with Tony, I felt dismissed once again. With lines like «that’s never happened here before, I just can’t believe that that would happen» «why would they take some cards and not ALL the cards» and «let me guess, there was CASH in the cards»?? Like I was lying or making it up! As a professional meeting planner, I NEVER would have spoken to a client like that! I brought it to his attention, hoping to see if they had cameras (which they don’t), and told him my husband saw someone in the venue that didn’t belong. Every single thing I said regarding this issue, instead of receiving concern… I received «reasons» it didn’t happen or who this person «may» have been (staff, vendor) — no real concern with the fact that POSSIBLY someone REALLY DID come into our reception and steal some of our cards. I wasn’t expecting them to «repay» for the missing cards, but I was expecting them to show some concern at the very least. I ended the call with «thanks for your help», knowing the entire conversation was anything but that. Having cameras around the facility would have been a bonus.
Because of that last «con», I have to give this venue 3 stars. To make a client feel like they are not taken seriously without resolution, is not the last impression you want to leave with them.

I had my wedding here and I have to say it was better than expected. They really took care of us and made sure we had everything we needed.
The venue itself is beautiful, especially the chapel. Once I saw the chapel, I was sold. I would def recommend, Sunset to anyone looking to have a not so Vegas wedding in Vegas.

We got married here last night (10÷17÷15) and it was ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL! The chapel and grounds are gorgeous, the food was great (picky eater here) and Tony and his staff were very accommodating, friendly and professional. My guests raved about EVERYTHING!!! I was nervous because I live in D.C. and was not able to see the venue in person but Sunset Gardens exceeded my expectations! Thanks for making OUR day so special. I highly recommend!!!

Wow! I don’t have enough words to describe how amazing this location and people are. From Tony to the bartender! All my guest had the biggest smile and great things to say about my entire wedding, drinks, food, dj, photographer, and officiant! Thank you all at Sunset gardens for making my special day perfect!

Thank you to Tony and staff for an absolute perfect wedding!!! Our experience was wonderful and Tony connected is with cake, photography, DJ and flower companies who did a fantastic job. Everything was clearly laid out for us and so we knew everything was taken care of. My daughter in law lives out of state and Tony had great communication with her and every visit she had with Tony was professional. Appointments were always on time and items discussed as planned. The venue is just beautiful!!! We had a sunset wedding and the timing was just perfect as Tony did a wonderful job keeping schedule. Food at reception was delicious and when Tony suggests you have the prime rib DO IT! He was right, it was the best prime rib I’ve eaten. Service at the reception was great-​the staff was very attentive. Bride and Groom were given special attention and the staff made sure they had food and drink. Thank you to Sunset Gardens for giving us the perfect wedding!!!

My husband and I just got married on 2÷21÷15 at sunset gardens and it was everything I could have hoped for.
Tony helped us step by step and offered us great suggestions to make our day absolutely perfect and it was.
The venue was gorgeous, the food was delicious, and the bar was flowing. Tony and Michelle were on hand from start to finish to make sure the whole night went off without a hitch.
This is THE place in vegas to have your wedding for an amazing price. I will definitely recommend them to all of my friends.

We were married here in January. We were looking for a place that would allow us the freedom to have the wedding we envisioned at the right price. My wife fell in love with the beautiful chapel, garden lights and sunset room, so we booked the venue.
We paid a deposit to hold our date, but was still unsure on our guest count and which wedding package would be best for us. After that communication from the venue was pretty rare until about 3 weeks out and then we had an hour long meeting with Tony. During that meeting with Tony he was great, we had a long list of questions and Tony patiently and thoroughly answered each question. He gave recommendations and suggestions but never stepped on my Bride’s toes with her ideas, he also never up sold me on things and even tried to talk her down from a few additions, even though it would have cost him additional revenue.
The week of the wedding Tony allowed us to come in on Monday and decorate the place ourselves as we had planned, his staff helped as well. Everything that my bride had envisioned came together and everything was very beautiful. We had looked at a few other venues and Sunset Gardens was the only place that allowed us the freedom to bring in our own decorations etc.
The day of the event Tony was always right on point and on time, his staff was as well, everything ran very smoothly. The only criticism would be with one of the vendors he referred us to did not set up uplighting that we paid for but, Tony rectified that the next day by having them issue us a refund. The D.J. Syd called and we went over what songs we wanted at what time, he got the idea of what we wanted and played certain songs we wanted at the correct time and was perfect. Tony’s photographer Steven did a great job, pictures came out beautiful. We also rented the Photo Booth from Tony, we totally recommend it as it was very popular. We also received a book with everyone’s photos. Our event was held in the Sunset room and it was perfect for 75 people. The food was high quality/​delicious and the cake was beautiful and service was great from the Bartender Mark. I would highly recommend giving Tony and his staff the opportunity to host your wedding.

Sunset Gardens was the perfect location and venue for our wedding! From start to finish, Tony made sure every detail was taken care of and everything came out perfect! The entire outside area was beautifully lit up for our ceremony and all through the night and came out wonderful in the pictures! We never once felt nervous or concerned with wedding. Tony had the perfect answer for every question and always assured us our day was going to be amazing. His staff was very attentive to all of our needs and Michelle made sure the ceremony and reception was flawless! Thank you Sunset Gardens for helping to make our special day perfect in every way!

I have so many things to say about the experience of getting married, I don’t even know where to start!!!
When my fella and I decided to get married in Vegas, it was because it’s a fun city where there’s a lot to do, a million places to stay, and a lot of options for the trim level of our wedding.
Originally we thought it’d be like 30 friends.
Ha! We had 30 friends over for Thanksgiving.
We booked our March 1 ceremony back in September, thinking 30 people. We figured we’d get married, hit a buffet and then the strip. Then we started telling people about the wedding.
Guest list goes from 30 – 50 to 80 – 120 within weeks. East Coast family wants to fly out and join us. LA friends can’t wait. Even my good friend who lives in Maui wanted to come!
It’s great to be loved! But we needed to get real. And we needed to get a reception venue. So I Unilocaled and I emailed around. I got some quotes that would be reasonable to most brides… but seemed totally out of scale in my mind. You can buy a car with $ 16,000… and a wedding is just a party.
Sunset Gardens came with lots of Unilocal love, and a totally lovable price tag which was only the tiniest smidge out of our range. close enough to make room. The pictures were beautiful, and Tony, the coordinator, took really great care of me!
I didn’t have to do a damn thing. In my opinion, that’s exactly how it should be! We talked over some options for linens by phone, the menu, the cake, all the details were totally seamless and easy. I’m sure I could have made it difficult if I tried– or if I were indecisive, but hey, I’m simple. I just want vanilla cake and prime rib.
The week before the wedding, I decided I wanted to have a candy buffet. So I ran around town, bought all this fun glass ware second hand, went to Jack’s wholesale candy (review to follow) and called Tony. «Should I make a diagram? how big is the table you’d use for this?
Tony says «How ever you want it to be. Whatever you need, I’ve got it.»
Best answer ever.
I dropped our stuff off the day before the wedding, and I was honestly blown away by how awesome the place is. I mean it, it’s tear-​to-​your-​eye beautiful!
Everything was totally seamless– the DJ was cool, the bartenders took good care of everyone, wait staff was friendly, food was good, cake was good too, even my crazy candy buffet looked beautiful!
We ended up with right around 80 people, and the Sunset room was the perfect amount of space. Everyone had a great time, and honestly, I could not have had a better experience for my wedding.
