MOTEL… is the most mind blowing theatrical experience you will ever have… without setting foot in a theatre.
Set in a sleazy motel… that is a REAL sleazy motel on the corner of Charleston and Las Vegas Blvd, you follow the actors as they enter various rooms and play scenes inches from you as you hug the wall and have that exhilarating and nervous feeling of not knowing what may happen next.
As it is set in a small room dominated by a ratty bed… you can imagine that sex will be a focus. The action is much more psychological than graphic… but if you get easily offended by adult and kinky themes then this is not the show for you. But if you like to live a little vicariously on the wild side… then this will be an unforgettable experience.
The cast is uniformly brilliant and focused… which really brings you into the action. I don’t want to give away the storylines… as half the fun is not knowing what’s behind that door you are about to enter.
The audience is split into 3 groups of 6 or seven and follows an actor into a room where a scene is played with another actor already in the room. The other performer then leaves the room and you follow them to the next room where a new actor awaits… and this continues through five rooms. In between there are short sequences in the parking lot which is even more uncontrolled… will a car disrupt the scene? Is that bag lady part of the show?
Great fun… very exciting. and well worth your time.
