Terry Cavaretta

Terry, was the youngest female ever to do the triple, at 13 years old. She was also the first female to perform the double layout at 15 and the double cutaway half twist at 13. She was performing all these tricks, when in those days there were only about two dozen men doing them. There had never been a female equal to male flyers until Terry came into the picture. Terry performed these tricks from the beginning of Circus Circus in Las Vegas from 1968 to 1991, a record breaking run of 23 years in one place. This has never been achieved in the history of Las Vegas, or anywhere else in the world, for that matter, by a speciality act! Terry was in the Guinness Book of World Records for 10 years, from 1978 to 1988, for the first female to consistently perform the triple somersault with a pirouette return. The Cavaretta’s were also the first ‘all-​teenage’ flying trapeze act.

Terry has done over 20,000 triples in her lifetime. She has been flying for over 50 years.
