Best Butcher in town hands down. From the meats to the deli sandwiches. So thankful to live nearby!

This location is always clean, people are friendly and the meat is very good quality. My only complaint is they have no system in place to see who is next in line. During peak hours, weekends holidays etc. They should have a ticket machine to pull a number to see who is next in line. It avoids an awkward situation amongst the patrons.

Fresh & Delicious! I can’t speak on the meats section, but we stopped in for lunch, so this review is for the sandwich side only. My husband had a burger and I ordered a Pulled Pork Sandwich. The Pulled Pork was really good, but when I tasted the burger, I wish I had gone that direction! Fresh, flavorful and juicy… honestly, the best burger I’ve had in this town, even better than the special gourmet burger spots. I would suggest the fries over the chips… the chips were in between… they weren’t crunch enough to be chips, and weren’t soft enough to be fries. I will order fries from now on, but that’s a personal preference, as they were still tasty… just didn’t care for the texture. We will be going back!

I’ve had the sandwiches here a couple times and they are the best I’ve had in a long time. The pastrami is out of this world, French dip is unique because they put the meat on the griddle for a slight crust, and the cold Italian subs are fresh and tasty.
Today I’m out for a burger and it’s a great ground steak burger. I was worried about not having a lot of crazy toppings, but the meat and brioche bun were great with lettuce and tomatoes.
I’ll be coming back to finish trying the rest of the menu.

My hubby went here before and wanted it for his birthday dinner! He got The Butcher Block Gourmet Steak Burger with French fries, I got the Hot Pastrami with their homemade potato salad! Counter service was excellent and the food is DELICIOUS! A hidden gem in the Northwest/​Centennial Hills neighborhood! New favorite restaurant. located next to The Butcher Block which has wonderful meats! Homemade Potato Salad delicious and the marble rye to die for!

If I was writing this review based on my first visit, it would be 5 stars. The sandwich I ordered (Turkey club), was amazing. Fresh veggies, ample meat, delicious wheat bread. Just outstanding! Then I went back a second time, about a week later and decided to try one of their hot sub’s, ‘The Bird’. Its a chipotle chicken sandwich, with chipotle cheese and a creamy sauce. I have never been more disappointed with a sandwich in my life. It was tasteless. For it to be a hot sandwich, it was cold by the time I made it back to work (1 block away). There was hardly any sauce on it, the tomatoes were mushy and greenish, and the sandwich was literally dripping juice when I opened the package. My bread was soggy and I managed to only consume half of the sandwich before I decided to throw the rest away.
A few suggestions: maybe don’t ask if I want the sandwich heated up if its advertised as such. Also, don’t warm a sandwich up with the vegetables already on it as well.
I would love to say this is a fluke, or one time thing, but I came with a coworker who had one of these sandwiches with me on my original trip. When he ordered the second time with me, his sandwich was tiny, tasteless, and soggy as well.

I went back today and I’m upgrading to 5 stars. The boss is super nice and offered me a free sandwich because I was disappointed the first time. Today, I had a delicious Rueben sandwich.
The meats looked delicious, so I bought a T/​bone steak. I can’t wait to try it. I’m definitely sold on this place. Everyone is so nice, place is very clean and inviting, and well-​stocked.
I’ll definitely be back!

Great customer service and fantastic products from their steaks to their BBQ sauce that they sell!!!

Why haven’t I learned of this place until now!?! A friend picked up steaks to BBQ over the weekend and they were fantastic. The husband took a drive on Monday and brought home Flintstone sized — tomahawk steaks and a couple pork chops. The chops were tender and flavorful. But the steaks were mighty impressive. Thankfully, I married a grill master and these babies came out perfect! I have no reason to return to the steakhouses on the strip. Our grilling game has been upped, significantly.

The ONLY place we buy our meat!!! They will slice dice and cut anyway you want. Best meat in the valley

This is literally meat heaven! This is where you come to get cuts of meat your local grocery store won’t supply. Their quality in cuts is so good I would come back for almost anything. I purchased a Tomahawk and a 50 day dry aged Prime bone-​in ribeye and they both were phenomenal. I highly recommend getting the prime 50 day aged. It beat the 3 different wagyu steaks we just had last week at Craft Steak @ MGM. Definitely made our night!

Amazing! I love stuff like this its small everything looks hand picked and I was there on new years eve and to my suprise it was not packed! I will deff be back!

High quality everything. Don’t complain about the price. You get what you pay for. If you ever just want a sandwich, this place has some of the freshest meats and vegetables, bread so soft and fresh. Puts subway and other sub shops to shame. Bonus coming next month with the addition of the «hot» sandwich shop being built next door. Good people, good meats, great quality and rare store in Las Vegas. Try something different the stuffed mushrooms with lobster and crab and amazing. Home made sausage was juicy and smokey.

We purchased the Prime, prime rib for Christmas dinner and it was fabulous! I followed their instructions and it was so tender you can cut it with a fork. It is the best prime rib as we have ever had. Haven’t had any in a restaurant this good! We special ordered and ordered 3 pounds, but when we picked up it was 4.29 pounds. I was a little annoyed, because I thought what is the purpose of special ordering if we end up with more than we ordered. After all there is only 3 of us for dinner. I am pleased to say I am happy to have extra for leftovers. The quality of the meat is excellent.

I checked this place out today while looking for some steaks for dinner. Wow!!! The cuts of meat are excellent! I left with a huge prime ribeye, 2 pork loin chops, and two steakhouse burgers-​under $ 40 and enough food for a couple days! Can definitely say the butcher block is worthy of 5 stars! They have some amazing looking homemade sausages I want to try next go round! Check them out!

So just move to the area and from california, I’m happy to find a butcher shop. Sadly these jokers are only open at the HOTTEST hours of the Vegas heat 11 – 7. I should have know better when their website didnt work right and John Mulls Meat owns all the Unilocal reviews.
So I wait intending to go in and drop a few hundred in steaks to fill the freezer. Its 108 today so I make a special trip IN THE VEGAS HEAT to go down there after they open. I go in at 11:19 and ALL THE CASES ARE EMPTY. I drove down there specifically to look at what they had and buy a bunch.
Some employee comes out of the back as says «Oh sorry you came on the one day we wash the place down.» I’m like «You do this DURING business hours? Why are you even OPEN?» He says «I dont know, sorry.» I left very pissed off. They couldnt WASH the store down on NON business hours? How dumb is that?
This has to be one of the stupidest things I’ve seen a business do. Imagine going to the grocery store and theres nothing on the shelves to sell, BUT the idiots are open?
I’m going down to John Mulls meats from here on out. Theres a reason they have almost 500 reviews.

These guys know what they’re doing! Im going in today to get a sub sandwich, because they’re made with Boar’s Head meats and cheese… but what seals the deal is the crazy thin shredded lettuce. Those sandwiches are magic!
There’s great steaks, but I always end up getting all the different specially made stuff… like the jalapeño bacon, stuffed mushrooms, bacon wrapped jalapeños, and the BBQ burger is absolutely amazing! I also love the seasonings they sell, my favorite one is the Exotic Mushroom, but I’ve been pleasantly satisfied with the other blends as well. Hope to see them expand around Vegas! We need more places like this!

Came here earlier this evening to buy veal shanks to cook osso buco for dinner tonight for my husband who’s been craving this for quite some time. The shanks were quite expensive but wow… after spending nearly 3 hours in the kitchen, my osso buco turned out AMAZING! It was well worth the price! My whole family couldn’t stop talking about how delicious it was. For those of you cooking this recipe, I highly recommend you buy your meats from this shop. Real good quality meats and excellent customer service!

We wanted to BBQ since it was such a gorgeous day outside, so I suggested we give The Butcher Block a try since I had seen such good reviews on Unilocal.
I was not disappointed! The Butcher Block is family owned and operated and offeres a wide variety of meats from U.S.D.A. Prime Beef, U.S.D.A. Prime Dry-​Aged Beef, Wagyu Kobe Style Beef, Homemade Sausages, just to name some! If you want something on the wild side they offer Gator, Quail, Venison, Elk, Rabbit and plenty of other woodland creatures. Seafood isn’t my thing, but they had a good looking variety of stuff including live lobsters and blue crabs. I’m amazed that they had so much to offer for a tiny shop. One thing I noticed was «Jalapeño Bacon» priced at $ 8.99 each. Compared to what it costs at the grocery store that isn’t bad for good quality bacon.
After looking over the selection and wanting pretty much everything, we decided on a few different things to try. I wish I could remember the name (I think porterhouse?!) of the 2 steaks we bought, but I can’t. I do know both steaks together cost $ 35.81 and were worth every penny! I picked put a rub priced at $ 5.99 for the meat and the steaks just grilled up so nicely and the steak melted in my mouth. We also picked out a «Petite Bacon Wrapped Filet» priced at $ 5, «Mushroom Caps W/​Homemade Sausage» priced at $ 1 each, «Mini Bell Peppers Stuffed W/​Homemade Sausage» priced at $ 1 each, «Bacon Wrapped Stuffed Jalapenos» priced at $ 1.50 each and some «Hot Italian Sausages» priced at $ 4.99 per pound.
The mushroom caps stuffed with sausage were decent as the peppers stuffed with sausage, but it was the bacon wrapped stuffed jalapenos that were an awesome flavor explosion in my mouth! I was bummed we didn’t get more than 4 of them. The sausages were full of flavor, but not too spicy and grilled up perfectly. The petite bacon wrapped filet is the perfect size and price for the smaller appetite. Perfect for spoiled pooches too! I was very pleased with everything and will be stopping here at The Butcher Block more often.
You can also stop by to pick up a sandwich for lunch because they have Boar’s Head meats and cheeses! What The Butcher Block is currently charging for the meats and cheeses per pound is too much compared to where I get it at a store near my house. I do think the prices for having them make you a sandwich with the Boar’s Head meats and cheeses though is reasonable. The man who helped us behind the counter was very helpful and inside the shop was very clean.

So we accidentally found this place when we were having lunch in the same little strip mall and let me tell you, we lucked out today! My husband and I are carnivores through and through. I think we could give a T. Rex a run for his money if someone was dangling a ribeye in front of us!
When we walked in, it was almost over whelming with all of the beautiful cuts of steak, pork, seafood, deli meats, homemade sausage in numerous flavors, and even specialities items like East Coast Scrapple. I know I started to drool right away and I noticed my husband’s eyes glazed over with pure happiness at the sight of the amazing steaks on display. We walked in to check it out and left with $ 50 worth for steak and other treats for the next couple of nights. SCORE!
So this is actually a branch of The Butcher Block on the south end of town. We used to live out there and would frequent it often for when we wanted something special for dinner or a party. We missed it living up on the North end and thought we would just have to eat boring supermarket steaks from here on out. Well our prayers have been answered! We were speaking with the owner, who was working the counter, and he told us that it was the same place and he would treat us good from here on out. WooHoo!
Yes, the prices are higher here for the items for sale, but the prices are worth it once you try these steaks. They have so much more flavor, more tender, and just much better than what you can find at the big name stores. The product here is just fresher and it can’t be beat. And in reality, the prices weren’t outrageous. We got boneless ribeye steaks for $ 13.99 per lb, their super special BBQ hamburger mix for $ 4.99 per lb, and Boar’s Head smoked turkey breast for $ 8.99 per lb. No scrapple for us this time, we weren’t brave enough this time.
