I wish I’d checked Unilocal first. Several things happened to me that happened to others. First, my first appointment (for trigger finger), Sorrel had 4 or 5 people following him around. They were in training. He does the exam and first thing out of his mouth was surgery. I was fine with that. I’d had carpal tunnel surgery in 95. He said I still had symptoms of it and needed surgery on both hands. I declined that offer. Then I said I’d been diagnosed with tendinitis in my right hand. Surgery needed for that!
Had surgery for trigger finger release and tendinitis last week of June. Surgery was quick, I thought it went well. I was passed out. When I left all I was told was to not get my arm wet and they gave me a really big plastic glove to wear. And I was told to open and close my hand several times a day.
Called for a follow up appointment. I called, they didn’t call me. The doctor was not available so I saw someone who looked at the stitches and said it looked good. A few weeks later, I called again. I was having pain where the tendinitis surgery was done. And my shoulder was hurting. Again, the doctor was not available. I was told it takes up to 12 weeks for complete recovery. I said ok. I’ll wait. Then I had to go back in because the stitches were not removed all the way and it was snagging in things. I went in and AGAIN the doctor was not available. Saw tech and he did a snip of the stitches and it was better. Found out where the surgery was performed was not in network. Got a $ 60,000 bill for the surgery.
By November I was still having pain with the tendinitis site. Called for an appointment. This time I asked to see the doctor. He only had 2 people following him. I told him what was going on. First thing out of his mouth was surgery — bilateral carpal tunnel. I had to pay $ 5 for some kind of a hand scan which said I needed vitamins that the good doctor was pushing. $ 200 a month on Amazon. No telling how much if I bought them from him.
They don’t let you out without agreeing to surgery. I scheduled the surgery for January. Also, he wanted to do bilateral carpal tunnel surgery. He never asked what I wanted. Who would take care of me if both hands are cut???
I saw another doctor. Dr. Hanna said I have arthritis at the base of my thumb and more than likely, scar tissue pressing a nerve where the tendinitis surgery was done. I’m scheduled for physical therapy for a month. I cancelled the surgery with Dr. Sorelle. I think he is in it for the money. Not once did he mention physical therapy.
But the trigger finger release went well.

I’m giving Them 5 stars for the ease of this surgery. I had my surgery less than a week ago.
I wish I would it done it years ago. I suffered from carpal tunnel, waking up 4−5+ times a night with dead tingling hands and the instant relief was amazing. I only took a couple days off from work and I’m back at full steam.
One thing, I wish they had more information on billing. I guess I will find out soon enough.

Horrible outcome from a botched surgery! Avoid this asinine operation at all costs. Hoped they could help me but the outrageously over priced surgery only made the problem worse. Notice the pictures of how my finger looks. I wish I never visited this scam artist operation. Dumb surgery scheduler kid Jonathan kept hounding me, calling me, repeatedly, trying to schedule surgery, all the while the surgery was a scam. I kept asking Jonathan if the surgery was covered under my insurance and of course he lied and told me it was. Lying seems to be common practice at this place; I talked to the a girl in billing about what my co-​pay would be and the final bill was over three times the amount I was was quoted over the phone. Now when I call billing they won’t take my calls nor return my messages. In fact I spoke with Sandra the receptionist on 12÷30÷15 and she assured me that the manager in billing would be contacting me. This proved to be another blatant lie, as no one from billing made any attempt whatsoever to contact me. Shady and extremely unprofessional! This place will tell you all the lies you want to hear prior to surgery and the reality is after you find out you were lied to and scammed they will ignore you and send you outrageously priced bills. This joke of a medical operation expects to get paid for the botched procedure, well I want my mallet finger repaired. Mr. Sorelle and his staff cowardly took the easy way out and sent me to collections rather than try to correct the problem his greedy hands created. Boy, I can’t wait to have my day in court to expose how horrendous this business operates. The stupid Mr. Sorelle knew he couldn’t do anything to help me yet he still operated just to get paid and now my finger is all jacked up, deformed looking and left without the full range of motion I had prior to surgery and he couldn’t care less, saying to me, «You’ll be alright, your going to get through this» yeah right, look at the pictures and you be the judge. Worst experience of my life aside from the one I had at Corvetti orthopedics.

Dr. Sorelle the surgeon for myself and a family member. During our visits he was kind, engaged us and made eye contact. He also had quite a few Medical School students shadowing him that engaged with us and that he used the opportunity to teach during our visits.

READ the fine print on the forms you sign and ask questions. We asked the billing department and front desk specifically if his services were in network. They replied yes … In actuality He is in our insurance network BUT the drug test facility that he sends specimens to and the surgery center he used was NOT in our insurance network! This lead to large unexpected charges. Unfortunately his billing department was not much help in explaining the cause of the charges and the Billing department manager never contacted us. We had to initiate contact and continually check back for updates. In addition, the reason the out of network surgery center was selected by the surgeon is because Dr. Sorelle has part ownership of the center. This was explained on a form given by the front office on the day of surgery. The form also explains that you have the right to chose another surgery center in network… But guess what… If you cancel on the day of surgery there is a large fee for cancellation.
Overall I am extremely disappointed with the billing department being partially honest by word of mouth. I give them one star for professionalism.
Dr. Sorelle gets 3 stars because of the front office part of his business but I have minimal scaring from surgery and my wrist no longer pains me, but I still have tenderness two months after surgery and a little bump. I will get a second opinion.
Conclusion: Ask the billing department detailed questions and verify that every service in addition to the doctor is in network. Request printed proof of pricing and specifically ask for a surgery center and testing in network.

Two months ago, I had surgery on both wrists and on my right thumb as well. All seem to be healing, though there is still some pain. My issue is not with the surgery itself, but with the way this office does business. Prior to the surgery, I was told all my ailments in the upper extremities were the result of carpal tunnel, including my frozen shoulder. So I had the surgery hoping all would heal. My shoulder only seemed to get worse, however. After the surgery, the story changed. Now the doctor says it is a separate issue. I must have a second surgery (but not here!!!). Also, while it seemed the office staff worked hard to get approval from my insurance company (they hesitated at first), they finally gave it. Today I received a bill for $ 1400, saying the insurance company did not pay for the trigger release procedure on my thumb. Apparently not all procedures were approved, and the office did not bring this to my attention prior to the surgery. I do not recommend this establishment, and this is an understatement.
