I’ve been coming here for years! I love the tacky blue and pink Vegas Style diner with its maze-like booths and extensive menu. The portions are huge and the rainbow-colored sugar is a great novelty. The Fireside Lounge is a great relax place with the same perfectly tacky old Vegas set up. It’s open 24-hours too, so that’s a plus. I chose 3 stars because, though the portions are large, the food is just okay. I can’t say anything here has ever Wow-ed me as far as food was concerned. Furthermore, I don’t believe I have ever received really good service on the dining side. Most of the time, the servers are disinterested and not really that hospitable. You food will come out when they have time to bring it and they will bring refills, side sauces, napkins, etc. when they can, but don’t expect extra added niceties or say a local joint or service based restaurant. However, in the lounge, I have had some great experiences with friendly bartenders and servers(with the long black dresses on).

So glad I Unilocaled this place. It’s definitely gonna be a go-to whenever I hit up Vegas. Open 24/7, reasonable prices, HUGE portions – I can only imagine what this place is like at 3am on a Saturday. Standard American diner fare – if you’re anything like me, that’s a pretty common craving to have. Each pancake probably weighs a solid pound, their omelets are made with TEN eggs, and their hash browns are beautifully crispy and will not leave you wanting anything more. I wouldn’t recommend the waffles unless you’ve really got a craving(you do you), only because they’re pretty ordinary in size and taste and don’t even come with sides. Their lemon-cranberry muffin is sweet enough to be a dessert on its own! This place is garish and gaudy and they know it! Flamingo lamp fixtures, neon lights, fake cherry trees, and velvet lined booths. Honestly this place is as fun as it gets! Come as you are. It’s Vegas! No one will judge.

First impressions, I thought this was a joint. Surprisingly, this restaurant was absolutely delicious. Had breakfast at 10am accompanied by ginormous cocktails(It’s Vegas after all). The neon lighting and Amazon rainforest decorations truly adds to the dining experience. Trips to Vegas must include this as a stop!

This place is pretty cool. Open super late, which is nice, and has a very vast menu. My favorite is the tomato and mozzarella sandwich, and their sundaes are giant! Great for families or tourists.

As a Vegas local, the glitz and glamour of the strip can become… exhausting. When you’re looking to bring an out-of-towner to a classic, old Vegas joint for a bite — you do the Peppermill. The portions are HUGE, the food is diner-y, and the staff’s costumes are absurd. On this occasion we over heard the hostess call another diner a ‘dumb b*tch’ to another staff member, and I was pretty disgusted. Not only should you never speak about a customer this way, there’s no excuse for it to be done on the floor in front of other diners. Gross. I left a comment on the comment card at the table. The french dip sandwich is so good that my husband gets it every time we go. I’ve tried some of the appetizers and the BLT — they are typical diner fare, so I’m still searching for my go-to meal at the Peppermill. The menu is arduous and nothing really pops out at you, because it’s stuff you’ve seen before. I’m sure something will eventually tickle my tastebuds. Along with the neon lights and indoor trees/garden — you’ll find a container of sugar sprinkles on each table which is a lot of fun. I’m not quite sure why each table would need this at all times, but it helps to make Peppermill the Peppermill — and that’s okay with me. A note about the ‘in-house photographer’: You do not have to purchase photos from them. I don’t know why this photographer situation irks me like it does — but I really despise it.

What a ‘blast from the past’. I didn’t know when I opened the front door that I’d be stepping into a time machine set back to who knows when(I’m not too old!). The hosts were as nice as their smile and I couldn’t help but to scan for Brandon Fraser as I was being led to my seat. The timeless décor is sure to set the establishments foot print here on then strip for decades to come. I arrived with a hungry stomach so I asked the waitress what was their most popular dishes then ordered the two before she could finish describing the entrée. I think it’s safe to assume that the chefs could do no wrong when it came to providing breakfast perfection in the heaviest proportion. If you’re a petite, you might want to share. Yes, order the lava cake.

I was lucky that my new local friends pointed me to this spot. This is old Las Vegas. tacky to the max with the neon colors in the napkins, décor, etc. I loved it. There is a cocktail waitress who served good Bloody Mary’s(heard the mimosas weren’t that good). and the food was large in portion but in my opinion. not as good as Hash A Go Go. Hash Browns were incredibly crispy and delicious. The most amazing part is the fireside lounge where it’s a round lounge around a fire that’s on water. It’s truly amazing and reminds me of what a backroom of a strip club would look like if I were to go to those in Vegas(I haven’t although I tried to once. I swear!) Great spot to visit… 3.5 stars. Free parking and gladly it is not on the Strip with all the terrible parking and traffic.

I love all things vintage… my house is old… my furniture is old… I was born in the wrong era, basically. The Peppermill is like a time capsule from the 80’s and has a certain kitschy charm that is irresistible to me. They have a restaurant on one side and a lounge on the other side. We chose to go to the 21+ lounge side to celebrate my hub’s birthday. The circular pink plush velvet booths, fake chinese lantern flower vines, and blue neon tubing are so cheesy and awesome. They have tv’s at each booth playing music videos from the 70’s. The waitresses wear floor-length black gowns. They have happy hour every day from 3 – 6 and from 9 – 11. Went on Saturday 1−9−16 at 6pm for dinner. $ 49.67 got us two of their zombie cocktails, a long island ice tea, a glass of moscato, and a chicken tender dinner. Their drinks are strong and their food portions are very generous. I’ve been here 4 times now and each time the service is spotty… the servers are not overly friendly and they might abandon you for long periods of time. It took us two hours to eat on Saturday because of the long stretches between seeing our waitress. When people come visit us we always take them here… there is no place more«Vegas» than the Peppermill! I don’t have much more to add that the 1800+ other people haven’t already said but if you’ve never been here you have to check it out.

The Peppermill is such an awesome diner, one that encapsulates Las Vegas. The poker machines at the entrance are just the start — it’s the chain smoking patrons, neon lighting and artificial trees that really give it its charm. Food here comes in large portions and is big enough to feed two people. Omelettes run a little, but the hash browns are just crispy enough and cooked to perfection. And as a bonus, there’s an attached bar!

Peppermill is definitely eye catching alone with the rainbow colored signs, but the neon does not end with the signs. When you walk in, you are immediately greeted by more neon and mirrors! If neon and mirrors is your thing, then you’ll feel right at home! I have to admit that the combination of neon and the crowds of people on the strip really does draw attention to itself. The lounge atmosphere in the Fireside Lounge is amazing. It is a very relaxing place and not too loud so that you can carry on a conversation. Whether you’re going for cocktails in the lounge or looking for a decent coffee shop in Vegas — you won’t be disappointed. The giant omelettes are what the Peppermill are most famous for. As far as the service goes — absolutely lovely! Any visit to Las Vegas should include a visit to Peppermill!

The husband and I were prepared to have a long wait due to us going on a Saturday and it being New Years Eve weekend. We arrived a little after 6pm and were seated immediately. Upon being seated, we were immediately asked what our drink order would be. We decided on the Scorpion(64 ounces of their specialty drink which includes Grenadine, Rum, and Brandy). We were quite buzzed once our food arrived *insert thumbs up emoji* The portion sizes are surprisingly large. Between the two of us, we had the Marco Pollo omelet(chicken, spinach, lots of garlic and cheese) with potatoes and a blueberry muffin on the side, and the chicken nachos. We tackled as much as we could but both ended up with full to go boxes. We had prompt service and our food was prepared and served with lightning speed. After dinner, we wandered over to the Fireside lounge. There were a few people scattered about, but we still snagged a prime seating area next to the indoor fire. We finished out Scorpion drink there(yeah, we kinda nursed that luscious 64 ounces), hung out and people watched. This place attracts crowds of all types, and feels retro glam Vegas-slash-old strip club lounge-slash-breakfast dinner. My kinda place.

Awww man, if this was my first time here, I would never be back!!! Luckily, we hit this spot up every time we’re in Vegas and I know this time must’ve been some kind of fucking fluke. Shoulda known better than to save this place for New Year Day brunch, crowded as hell. Hostess(also the manager) told us about 45 minutes wait. Over 1.5 hours later, we were called to be seated. Was cold in the waiting area where two entrances kept opening n dumbasses kept propping them doors open. Sat down n the busboys got right on it with our drinks n the photographer approach us to take a pic(we encounter this most the time we come, it’s cool n you should always do it for the free pic, refuse to buy the others, it’s perfectly cool). We ended up buying the pics cuz ’twas a good shot. Lol. Two Vegas framed 5×7 prints for $ 25 or one for $ 20, plus the free postcard pic. Waitress who took our order was jaded n not nice, just annoyed looking. I ordered spinach salad, side of hash browns n bacon. My BF got the traditional breakfast. Waitress dropped off the spinach salad without saying a word n left. Spinach salad was not good, wilted leaves n the honey mustard dressing was way too sweet n excessive. Waitress came back to drop off da bf’s breakfast n my hash browns. No bacon. She said they’re coming right out. Well… She completely forgot my bacon n I ended up eating off my bf’s plate. Had she checked back on our table anytime during our stay, she would’ve known what’s amiss n that our coffee cups were empty… BUT she never checked back. We finally called her over n gave her a piece of our minds. She said she’s been bugging the kitchen for it(yeah right) n immediately ran to the kitchen and brought out my side of bacon when we got but empty plates in front of us. I said I wanted them bacon with my hash browns, those were the things I was craving! She said she’ll comp a plate of hash browns with the bacon. I said no. My BF told her to take it away and he talked to a manager on our way out who apologized n said that she is usually a good waitress. I’ll update my review when shit gets better. This was a crappy experience.

Fun atmosphere and pimp Vegas décor! Let’s begin this review by saying — if you haven’t been here, you’re missing out! This place is open 24⁄7. Located on the strip, near Encore & Wynn. Fireplace lounge(don’t miss this part) perfect for cold Vegas nights. Great early & late happy hour specials. Crazy colors & lights everywhere. Extensive cocktail menu. Breakfast served all day & night. HUGE desserts perfect for sharing. Great diner food with something for everyone. In a nutshell this is a Vegas classic and just a fun spot. Be prepared to be dazzled…

Located next to Riveria Hotel which has recently closed. We went for happy hour 3−6pm and I love the fireside lounge. dim and romantic. Only 5 booths there that seats two so get there early. There is a restaurant too. We ordered Peppemill martini and Creamsicle that was good and taste like orange cream icecream :) for food Buffalo wings that was tasty and crispy and Brushetta which was ok. The reason for 3 stars are the place was too smoky and they played country music and sports so basically a country’s sports bar which doesn’t suit the ambience. It is a nice place to take some friends who visits Vegas.

Awesome!!! Don’t let the outside food you. I thought this was a stripclub or weird bar at first glance, but you walk inside and restaurant! 80s themed awesomeness. Neon lights, colorful booths, and sprinkles on the tables. Service was great. Spot on! I ordered the mammoth pancakes, which I greatly under appreciated the size as described in the menu. I also didn’t heed the waitresses advice, thinking she didn’t appreciate my ability to down the cake. HOLYCRAP! Those are insane! Yeah, these pancakes could feed a family. The food was great. Atmosphere was great. Prices were very cheap for Vegas. It wasn’t a cliché place in one of the casinos, so a wonderful change of pace. Highly recommend!

Just like old Vegas. Retro diner style vibe and the fire pit lounge is a must see. Came here for brunch 10 am on a Monday and the wait was minimal. I tried the Southern Fried Steak and it hit the spot. Ample portion, but the taste was not compromised. I got it with hash browns and over medium eggs. The hash browns were crispy and the eggs were cooked properly. Both were good. Now onto the main event. The Southern Fried Steak had an acceptable amount of breading and«healthy» portion of beef rounds. Seasoning came through with the savory, yet not overly heavy, gravy sauce. I especially liked the hints of mushroom. This is a must try dish! Others ordered the Veggie Omelette, Pork Loin with Eggs, and Crab Cakes. All said their food was good. They appreciated the value-based portions. Looks like most dishes are safe bets here. Service was relatively prompt and friendly considering it was busy. Check this place out, if you want to refresh from all thee foo-foo restaurants on the strip.

I really wanted to like this place, being a Las Vegas staple and all that. I would recommend ordering bar foods. The ribeye was not that good, especially for $ 31. The steak was lower grade, lots of fat(and not in the traditional yummy marbling way of ribeye steaks). The onion strings served on top were mainly just fried bread. The mashed potatoes were fake. They even tasted fake. Probably the worst part of the meal. If I was a famous Las Vegas restaurant, I’d be embarrassed to even list mashed potatoes as a side option. The sautéed mushrooms were probably my favorite part of the food. The side Caesar was decent but had little dressing, and had to ask for more. The water tastes like bad tap water. I really liked the atmospheric diner charm.

I’m tellin you… this place used to be a strip club in its past life. It has to be!!! LOL!!! Only thing that was missing are stripper poles. You can install one at the top of every dining table! =D The neon lights… the white light above your dining table… you either love em or hate em. I personally think it’s freakin awesome!!! I’m sure the décor and carpets haven’t been changed since the 1980s. Any person who enjoys that«old school» Vegas feel… you definitely gotta come here and check it out. What is there left to be said that hasn’t already been said in the past 1700+ reviews? –come hungry. Portions are BIG. Maybe share a couple dishes between your party. You will not leave hungry. Small eaters like myself, I guarantee you will have leftovers for the next day. Or even the day after that. –this place is always busy. No matter what time of the day it is. So just be prepare that there MAY be a wait. –Located between Encore Hotel and the now shut down Riviera Hotel. I ordered the Chicken and Red Pepper Pasta. Two big pieces of grilled chicken breast stuffed with cream cheese. Ehh… personally, I could’ve done it without the cream cheese inside. Very flavorful and my dish came out pippin’ hot. Boyfriend had his heart set on the Country Fried Steak dinner. He thoroughly enjoyed it! A lot! Both our dinner entrée came with your choice of soup OR salad. Soup of the day(I came on a Wednesday night) was cream of broccoli. Pretty good. I will definitely be back… perhaps around lunchtime so I can try out their sandwiches. Looks promising.

Another«milestone» review for me… #500 on Unilocal!I had to devote a place I actually LIKE for #500!!! I’m a sucker for reality tv, reading books by celebrities, etc. Holly Madison mentioned that this was one of her favorite places, and I think one of her reality show episodes had her peeps dining here. This is also a favorite of the locals, so I visited this place for breakfast with friends a few years ago… the portions were HUGE, and we actually remembered this as being a «favorite» of ours. Las Vegas has numerous restaurants to choose from so if you remember a good one… you’ll want to return rather than taking a risk elsewhere. I was back there this past weekend, and I asked my friend where she wanted to go for dinner… she didn’t care. Since we had a car this time I suggested Ellis Island, or Peppermill. She’s not much of a beer drinker, so I thought she’d like the ambiance in this place better so we stopped in again. There is lots of parking in the lot here. This place has a 70’s roller disco kind of vibe to it… it’s cute, totally not cheezy! VERY«Vegas» I might add. Of all my facebook check ins while I was out there… this place had the most«love that place» comments from my peeps back home. Portions are HUGE here… you will not leave hungry. The staff are great too. This time we just got a few appetizers and drinks(we both ordered the«bubble bath»). There is a lot of mention of the nachos so we got those and barely made a dent in them, we got them with chicken too. We also got the sliders which were very tasty. I will absolutely keep coming back to this place when visiting Vegas, and you should too!
