History

Established in 2008.

We began experimenting with the «A Taste of Shakespeare «concept in 2008 in a local park. Since then, in addition to continuing «Taste» shows, we have mounted, under the sponsorship of the City of Henderson, full-​bore productions of «Macbeth» (2010), «Midsummer» (2011) and «Hamlet» (2012). We brought in guest stars from Los Angeles to head up the casts of Hamlet and Macbeth. In each of those three years our acting teams also performed in twenty schools across the District. We also provided a teacher in-​service in advance of the visits in which we gave out supplementary classroom materials we developed. In 2013 we premiered a five-​hour long «A Taste of Shakespeare» in the park under the sponsorship of the City of Las Vegas. We now offer ongoing Shakespeare Workshops year round in southern Nevada and continue to develop more new and unique takes on Shakespeare for our wonderful audiences.
