Tri State Towing and Recovery

My son’s car was ‘misplaced’ during a trip to Vegas. He was robbed, his wallet and keys were stolen. He had to take the bus home. The car was towed by TriState on Westwood Dr.
My son drove out there from San Jose, CA to retrieve it. TriState office told him to be there at 10AM, so he was. The young man in the office told him he couldn’t help him. He had to wait for someone else. That went on for 3 hours. When the guy got tired of being asked when
the necessary person would arrive — he locked my son out of the office! Now mind you — it’s 100 degrees+ in Vegas on an average day in July.
It wasn’t until he banged on the door and threatened to call the police that he was allowed back in. Up until this point, he wasn’t even allowed to see the car. So far — it was stressful.
Once the necessary person got there; things got better. There were talks of buying the car, son was allowed to see the car and inspect for damages, etc. Tri State offered to let him keep the car there one more night (free) while negotiations were going on. They referred him to a nice motel within walking distance. Next day — the car was ‘bailed out’ without a hitch.
Except for the initial encounter with the guy in the office — my son was treated fairly. We’ve dealt with other tow companies and they can be ruthless and there can be some waiting. Tri State is pretty good. If it hadn’t been for the guy in the office — I’d give them 4 stars.

James and his team were extremely helpful through the entire process. I was having some title issues dealing with an out of state DMV hoping to get my vehicle registered here in Nevada. At first, I was very skeptical. The car not only had sentimental value but I had a lot of work and money put into it and should anything had happened to it I would have been destroyed. Looking back on working with James however, I now realize now that my car could not have been in better hands. Part of my skepticism was a lack of reviews online. An independent tow truck driver recommended by word of mouth reaching out to James for help with my problem (Which I think speaks for itself in terms of their great work as a tow company as well). As of right now my car is 100% legitimately in my name and I never had a reason to worry, and that is why I am writing this review and giving him a 5 star rating.
