UC Nails & Hair Salon

I used to go there all the time, 7+ years to be exact. I no longer will. They haven’t been taking their time with my nails. I would get hard gel and it would be off I. 3 days tops. Super disappointed.

Very disappointed in their lack of respect for my time. In a month I’ve had trouble with their inconsistency on their appointment policy.
I highly recommend Anna (nails and facials) and Tony (hair) however not happy with management.

I always have Jenny. I like when she does my hair from coloring my hair to doing my haircut but you really have to come at a good time to do it. Making appointments are pointless here because they’ll just do first come first serve anyways. I’d come sometimes on my appointment and she’ll be busy and she’ll do a terrible job on my hair. I like Jenny but other than that I don’t recommend this place.

Well I needed a quick fix for my Talon claws so I ended up here. My visit started out OK a guy was friendly and courteous upon arrival and asked if he could help and I explained I just wanted a gel pedicure and how much? So, the guys states it’s $ 47 for a gel manicure and pedicure and I declined the manicure and again stated I had only wanted a GEL pedicure and he told me $ 22. I sit in the chair to be serviced and my tech was nice and she sits and does her thing and come time for my nails to be painted she starts using regular polish and I told her I wanted gel. After starting to paint about 3 of my toes I’m being told my price is now $ 50. I’m livid do I explain I was told a different price and the guy argues with me that he never told me that. I reassured him it was OK I’d pay but I was going to write this review!!! I think it is a nice thing all the services that are available here but if you ask your clients exactly what they want and they tell you EXACTLY what they want… Listen… and make sure it’s clear what services are being requested before you quote a price. By the way… my pedicure was mediocre and a bit rushed for $ 50

Terrible terrible terrible… Go somewhere else. Had an appt for highlights on Thursday at 9:30 am (mind you I made my appt 1 week in advance with Jenny herself via telephone for myself and my daughter that following Saturday) upon my arrival I was told I did not have an appt. One of their employees got Jenny on the phone who then proceeded to argue with me over the phone that I never made an appt. with her. Clearly I walked out after I canceled my daughters appt as well. We are new to Las Vegas and someone had recommended them. Honestly I don’t know how anyone other than Asians go there. Place was terrible and employees were quite rude and unprofessional.

While traveling I desperately needed a cut/​color having had no time to go to my regular stylist at home. When I asked the hotel concierge for a recommendation, they called UC and they were kind enough to accomodate me right away on a Monday when most salons are closed. Jenny did an amazing job with the color and the cut was fantastic! I was even able to squeeze in a gel manicure while my hair was processing. I highly recommend and this salon will certainly be my go to place when in LV for any beauty service need. Prices are also very reasonable and the cab fare from the strip hotels is under 20.00. Thank you Jenny and staff!

I made a phone call before walking in and the lady that answered had an attitude. The lady that did my nails did a poor job, she rushed through the whole process and I was expecting to pay a cheaper price but paid almost $ 60.

I had Brazilian blow out treatment done for hair. Before getting the treatment; I have asked Jenny if my hair will stay straight for at least 3 months. She promised that it will be stay straight for about 6 moths; hearing this I was excited. I spend $ 250 for the treatment and then she asked me to buy $ 40 shampoo with it. 2 days later after the treatment; I wash my hair and as soon as they dried it went back to normal (didn’t stay straight). I went to Jenny to show her my hair; and her answer was «I tried my best». I told her after charging almost $ 300; that’s all you have say. She didn’t reply and walked away. Bad attitude and bad service. Very disappointed…

Me and my wife started going here since they open. As time went attitude changed and after spending lots of money over the years seems like Jenny doesn’t care anymore and did bad job with my wife’s hair and showed attitude when she went after a week on a job Jenny did. I would recommend to go somewhere if you don’t want to waste your money and time.

Need to speak english, feel uncomfortable you don’t know what they are saying, very improper. Also to many do your nails start off with one girl then you have 3 different guys or girls finish them. Jenny does a great job cutting but has to learn that she can’t stop while doing your have and start someone else, annoying. Great stylist though.

I’m in total shock. We went over what I wanted for 10 minutes and you clearly stated you knew exactly what I wanted. We even looked at dozens of photos. You yes’ed me the entire time. I should have went with my gut because I sensed you weren’t listening to and/​or understanding me. You were done in 10 min after you used the blade and shredded my hair way above my shoulders when I repeated many times I want it no shorter than shoulder length when it’s dry and bounces up to that length, hence keep it longer than shoulder in order to get that desire length. I’m so disgusted my hairs are shaking. And you acted like it was the best piece of work you ever did. It’s the WORST hair cut in my life!!! I’m horrified and that’s not even an understatement. And I still paid for the cut. You should pay me for the emotional damage. God good. I won’t out you but you know who you are. For all those women that ever got a bad hair cut you know the feeling, you just want to crawl in a ball and cry then hide from the rest of world. Hair stylist are here for people to help them feel more confident, attractive not NOT take one thing such as sacred as their hair and mutilate it. You’ll never see me again nor anyone that asks me to refer them to a good hair stylist. It’s an honor to style hair, maybe this review will help you see that and the impact you can have on others’ lives. OMG, what happened to your beautiful locks of hair?! Oh, they’re in the garbage at UC. Which should stand for Undesired Cut.

Great permanent make up job. Throughout the entire procedure, Jenny asked if I was satisfied or uncomfortable. I was able to see the job as she performed it and she did exactly what I asked. Thumbs up for Jenny

Thrilled with my experience here. They were able to do my feet, gel nails and eyebrows all simultaneously which I requested because it saves me so much time and they accommodated. I really appreciate that and they did an excellent job! They did my boyfriends mani/​pedi simultaneously at our request and his was also excellent! Very very pleased w my experience and I will come here every time I visit LV!

I’ve been coming to this nail salon for over 5years everyone is so nice an great!!! I never make an apt but I’m always having a service done in minutes upon arriving! GO TO LAURA GO TO LAURA she’s amazing!!! My gel manis r perfect every time an I’m super picky LOL

I was recommended to UC salon by my mom because she gets her nails done here and «they always have hair clients.» I gave it a shot and came out pretty impressed. The place is spacious with a couple nice couches in the waiting area. I waited for some customers to check out, but was then ignored for a few minutes (lost a star). Although they had appointments coming in, they said they could see me. I was a little nervous because last time I tried to do a walk-​in hair appointment, I felt like I was messing up their schedule and they were messing up my hair. This time, they were very accommodating and efficient. Jenny started my ombré and listened when I asked for a high ombré. Then another stylist took me to the hair dryer chair and gave me what felt like a 15 minute shampoo session. Jenny then said Tony would take over for my cut and that he’s very good. He really was good. He took his time to straighten my crazy curls, then cut exactly how I asked, and then styled it straight. I felt comfortable and am satisfied with the service. Will definitely come back!

Was really busy when I went. Clean, they put a liner in the pedicure tub. 22.00 for regular pedicure +3.00 for the cheese grater thing. The polish job was ok. Wasn’t the greatest pedi I’ve ever had but wasn’t bad either. Id go on a slower day next time, I went on a Friday I think. I give 3 stars because the colors they have to pick from are tired and all red/​purple. No fun young colors, like blues or yellows, or greens or grays. Bleh. Was just lots of dark colors.
Staff is nice, full service.
Thought everything was ok… after a week a huge crack developed in my heel !! Found out it was from the cheese grater they used. So I basically paid extra to screw my feet up more.

Jenny did my ombré for a very good price, I felt very relaxed getting it done and the results were great!

Bad Eye Lash Job = An Eye Infection
Got my first set of lashes there after my hair & they looked nice & full but felt so heavy & were not the individual ones.
As Soon as Jenny started gluing them on, my eyes started to itch. She continued to glue them on & my eyes were very red by the end. The next day I woke up with a terrible eye infection & I ended up going to my doctor to get antibiotic drops. He recommended for me to take them off but I didn’t have to as they started to fall off right away. My doctor stated that Jenny probably didn’t wash her hands before touching my eyes, ugh

The ladies know how to do a good job, but do not care to make you a loyal client. Money talks. Jenny is not friendly and takes appointments when she can’t do the job, then tries to pass you to some other person. They have all kinds of people working on one single pedicure. It’s ridiculous. I’ve set there for almost two hours trying to get my pedicure done.
Not going back and do not recommend.

Small little salon. I ended up here, because it was the only place I could find that was open on July 4^th. I need a quick under arm wax, and they did a good job. Took me with no appointment, after I called to let them know I was on the way (actually to see if they were open)
The girl did a great job, it lasted longer than I expected. I was in and out in about 15 minutes.
I’d definitely go back.
