Office didnt know what they were doing.
Took 2 weeks longer than they said. We paid at time of service and they called us to chsrge us again. Sent e documents to us wrong. Almost didnt get filed on time.

Had some problems with my taxes being filed and they have been very prompt and helpful in getting all of my issues resolved.

Jason was awesome. Really helped me see the light at the end of the tunnel with my small business. Will be going here every single year from now on.
He had a business aspect before he became a CPA so he really knows how to help out the smaller people in this world! I recommend him to everyone! For personal or business reasons.
Also helped me save a lot of money. About $ 10,000 for 2014 which is a considerable amount for my small business.

I was really worried about my income tax filing this year! I scheduled an appointment with David during the middle of Tax season and he was right on time. The amount I was expecting to pay in taxes was making me sick to my stomach. Turbotax estimated just over 11,000. A few days later, they called me and let me know that I was only going to need to write a check for $ 7,000. So using Turbotax would have been a $ 4,000 mistake. So glad I called Unique. The filing fees were minimal also. What they charged me a couple hundred dollars for ultimately saved me 4,000. Don’t use Turbotax or any business who markets their services while dressed in Statue of Liberty costumes. Call Unique Accounting!

My experience at Unique Accounting was great. Because I am a dummy, I waited until the last minute to find someone to do my small business taxes. Fortunately, Jason was incredibly helpful and managed to squeeze me into his already busy schedule. I am a freelance software engineer and understand absolutely nothing about accounting or taxes — Jason didn’t make me feel stupid for asking what were probably very basic questions (you’d be surprised how many tax people I’ve gone through who almost went out of their way to make me feel dumb). The first meeting was a free consultation, and the rest of the correspondence was done via email, which was great. I’ll definitely be using Unique Accounting again next year!

I stopped by Unique Accounting and met with Jason. I usually file taxes myself, but I had a couple of new variables to add on to my taxes this year, and I wasn’t quite familiar with them. Jason was very pleasant to interact with, and was extremely helpful, thorough, and informative. He and his team did the necessary research, and offered me sound advice regarding my 1099G. They make sure you get the highest possible refund and guarantee that everything is entered in correctly. I highly recommend Unique Accounting for all of your tax purposes. BTW, They also have a little popcorn cart in the waiting area, along with a T. V for your entertainment. That alone deserves five stars. haha =)

I usually file my own taxes however this year they were a little more complicated so decided to get a second professional opinion. I went here based off of great reviews on Unilocal.I signed up for a consolation online where their website said that they would contact me. Approximately one week went by without hearing anything so I decided to call and try to set up my own appointment. I spoke with someone who took down my number and I was told that I would be contacted the next day. Three more days past. This should have been my warning but based off of the reviews I was determined to make it work. I attempted to contact them a third time and finally was able to set up an appointment.
I went in for the consolation and explained everything. I was told a quote and they explained what they were going to do. I have an business accounting degree however am not a CPA (why I went to have my taxes looked at by a CPA). The procedure that they were planning to move forward with did not seem right to me. When I questioned it, they agreed that I was indeed right and the way they were originally going to proceed was in fact incorrect. Thank goodness that I caught the mistake and asked questions! After I caught their mistake my quote of payment went up an additional $ 40!
i still decided to move forward since I needed to get this done. I was told to come back in 30 minutes and they would be completely done. I returned an hour later and they were still not done. The original person that met with me came out and told me it would be «three more minutes.» I waited approximately another 45 minutes. During that time I could hear all the staff’s conversations about their social lives and strong opinions about other clients /​customers.
When my taxes were done a different person came out to explain it to me. With other people in the lobby, she proceeded to read out all my financial information.
Privacy and professionalism did not seem to exist. The prices were reasonable but besides that I would much rather go to a place that is more professional and focused.

I just started with them today and couldn’t be happier. Jason was very clear, patient, and helped me understand my options for my business. If nothing else, just go in and talk to them to see if they can help you and your situation. 5* so far =)

It’s Tax Time!
I usually have my sister file my taxes on Turbo Tax, but since she didn’t have the time and my taxes this year seemed to be a little complicated I decided to search my way on the yellow pages. Unique Accounting was the only one that had great reviews and the price wasn’t bad compared to the other places I called. The price to file your taxes started at $ 89 (on yellow pages there is a 10% discount on individual taxes, mention that and you’ll get your discount).
Jason was very friendly and helpful because since they are usually off on the weekends, I told him that I can’t make it on the weekdays since I am working and I am only off on the weekends. He said they can do weekends by appointment only; I decided to make an appointment for Saturday morning. Jason said our taxes will be ready by Tuesday and that the IRS is a little bit backed up with people receiving their taxes on time.
