Universal Windows Direct of Las Vegas

I love the work they did and how they insulated the windows and how they guarantee my windows a lifetime warranty and it transferable to the new homeowner and they’re very professional and how they handle what they do and love what they do and I would recommend them again if I had more windows and doors to do and how it increases my home value and it will save me energy during the summer and winter months. I have noticed a big difference in my house since they have been installed.

I added more windows to my house and am glad I did they look beautiful and the energy efficiencee is better than I ever thought. I cannt wait for this summer. I really am impressed with the service and people that took care of me. The windows really make the house stand out compared to what we had before. I am glad to get this project out of the way and on to the next!

Yesterday one of representatives show up at my door and schedule an appointment.
Today I got visit from Field Representative Jonathon Moebius, and I can say, it was spectacular! I talk with some representatives from other companies before (like A… n windows„ Jel… n, etc) but this one is the best! He is most knowledgeable and patient, friendly and attentive to details representative I ever seen! He just totally amazing! He explains everything about company, about how windows made, why gas — filled windows better, what difference between models with aluminum parts and high-​end materials what in Universal Windows, what difference between models and how to choose color, difference between ways how they can be installed, how company find a way to deliver best price for the customer… and that amazing «double lifetime» warranty for windows AND parts! And workmanship satisfaction warranty! And windows actually custom-​built, not prefabricated!
Now I think Universal Windows probably best windows on the market, and seems like company has most knowledgeable staff! (Ask representative to show you the sample and how it opens up from top & bottom & even flips! Amazing!) Little bit pricey but amazing quality!
And Jonathon Moebius is the best!

The windows are great; the customer service is AWFUL. We scheduled an install appointment and no one showed up! I called to find out they FORGOT to put me on their schedule. Waste of my day! Two people came to measure, the sales guy did the initial (if you’ve read other review — yes, horribly long sales pitch) and then a technician. When the installer got there, he remeasured and found one window was built wrong! (Kudos to him because if he had torn out my windows and had no replacement, I would have had an unsecured property. A week later I called and it appeared they didn’t know they needed to order my window! Another week gone. The window came in the following week and guess what? No screen to go with it. That took over a month to come in. This job is for a single story house where I was replacing 9 windows and it took them the entire summer to get it done! I had to call them EVERY time. They never called me to inform me of the status of their work. And when I did call I got every excuse and brush off you can think of. Do yourself a favor and go with someone else. Sorry Universal. You can and need to do much better. I haven’t had such poor service in a very long time.

If I could only give zero…
It seems to me that several of the other reviewers had the exact same experience I had with their salesman. First, he insulted me completely by insisting he come back another time when my husband could be present. He didn’t want to have to go through his demonstration twice, after all. The funny thing about that is my husband would never sit for nearly 2 hours of that nonsense. Second, during the sales pitch, which had more to do with how wonderful the company is than the product, I found myself wondering if the salesman was on drugs or having a medical episode. I kept asking if he was okay for he kept losing his place and repeating himself, falling out of the chair, spilling the contents of his briefcase and breaking his sample window. Lastly, when he finally got to the quote, I told him thank you and that I would be comparing it to other estimates and would let him know what I decide. He appeared annoyed by this and told me that he was right in thinking that I could not make a decision without my husband. If this is how Universal Windows treats perspective customers, I am not willing to do business with them, regardless of how impressed I was with the product.

Saw some negative things from other people on the page. But I by passed them and am happy I did. When you have someone come to your house and give a pitch on windows or any sales pitch for that matter let it be known that the salesman is only doing his job. They are taught how to take time with the customer. The negative reviews on this page must be from people who didn’t have the time to have a salesman come over and take the time they needed with them. High pressure would indicate that the person just wanted a quote and for them to leave. But then you would be asking this company to do business like they have never done before rushed. My advise to the people who wrote those negative reviews is don’t have a salesman come to your home from any business if you expect them to «avoid the bs» their salesman and will do what needs to be done to make the sale and make sure the customer is happy! I wrote a review a few months ago for this company and I am pleased to say that once again they went above and beyond for me again. Having had Cody come out this time I had a great experience. My son threw a ball through a window and I needed it replaced promptly. But I also knew calling a salesman to my house I would be there for a few hours so I set aside a few hours like anyone should when calling a company to their home. Thank you guys for working with me again and having great customer service!

my experience with Universal was just so amazing. Service was wonderful. They gave me what I needed and didn’t try to push me or my husband to get things we did not need. On install day the men were so knowledgeable and fast! They were respectful and I couldn’t ask for better. My electric bill is going to be so much lower now and with a family of 5 we sure can use the savings. Cant thank you enough!

So after reading the reviews, I can almost guarantee the «high-​pressure salesman» everyone is referring to is Cody, who I unfortunately paid over $ 7,000 for 2 new windows and 2 sets of french doors and a slider.
Skip to the day of my install. All of the french doors (both sets) were the wrong sizes, thresholds stuck out over 6″ from exterior walls. When I questioned the installation, they tried to say that I ordered them that way. No, they had mismeasured and ordered the wrong ones and tried to blame me for their ineptitude. So after going back and forth, they finally came back and re-​installed the correct size. I called back because the doors were so noisy from a slight draft (not kidding) so another installer came back to fix them yet again. Another bonus– he ripped off the exterior trim from the house around the doors and left it off. I had to pay my carpenter additional $ to fix it.
I have had many issues with the doors and several licensed contractors looked at them since they have been «fixed» by Universal. They ALL said it was one of the worst installations they had ever seen, and I should contact the State Contractors Board. The doors do not open, close or lock correctly, and the thresholds are not what I ordered from Cody, the high-​pressure salesman. Both sets of doors are still missing screws to the naked eye even after they came back three times to «fix» the doors.
I am contacting the company tomorrow and will give an update, but so far far my experience has been terrible. I am not looking forward to speaking to the owner or his wife Teresa, the owner actually started yelling at me the last time I called to express my dismay with doors that were completely incorrect and Teresa had to apologize for his awful behavior.
By the way, this was part of a $ 200k+ home renovation, I have worked with MANY contractors and by far this has been my worst experience yet.

It looks like they have a good product. I didn’t buy from them because of the high pressure sales tactics. They have a very long sales pitch and the salesman really didn’t know how to skip all the BS and get to the windows. He also would just ignore questions even when I said I’ve asked that question 4 times and you still haven’t answered it, well he never did. They say their price is guaranteed for 30 days but that’s the FULL price, not the special TODAY only price. I told him that was a big red flag to me if I couldn’t think about it until Monday– 3 days away. The price difference was substantial, $ 6,000 today or $ 8,000 Monday. He did say «what would it take for you to sign the contract today?» and I said I would give them $ 5,000 total all today, his boss (by phone) countered with $ 5,500 and I said no. He called the next day trying again for $ 5,500 so there goes your «today only» excuses. I still am on the hunt for new windows just not a ridiculous, long sales pitch. He actually tried to describe every charity they give money to and what that charity does! If they had sent a more experienced salesman who could answer my questions and had a sample window of the type I would be buying instead of another type then I would probably already be having windows installed by them provided they didn’t have that silly «one day only» thing. Also their claim that nobody else sells windows with their special «space age» material between the glass is, as I expected, BS.

We called Universal Windows to install a new patio door for us. This company came out, listened to what we needed, quoted us a more than fair price, and then proceeded to earn our undying loyalty by doing it correctly and quickly. If you need new windows or doors, be sure to give these guys a call. Extremely professional, fast and affordable. What more can you ask. We also discovered they were now selling solar, so we decided to listen to their sales pitch, too. From the first day we talked to flipping the switch on our new solar units, it was six short weeks. Nobody else in the industry that we talked to was talking less than six months.

The vampire commercial on TV caught my attention since new windows have been in the back of my mind because winter is coming and I know how much I can save on electric bills for heating. Cody Meier was the salesperson who showed up on time. He had great presentation and personality to deliver it. I am bottom line person and would let him know which parts of his presentation I didn’t care about but he did great job of building value. He brought up competitors and did competitive pricing at the kitchen table. I felt comfortable with competitive price ranges that I did not care to call in any other salespeople. Cody’s demonstration with the torch and thermometer was impressive and convinced me that this was something I had to do.
Company stays in touch through entire process. Teresa put up with my scheduling stubbornness and stayed pleasant in every conversation. Installers were on time and highly skilled at installation. They convinced me this is not a do it yourself project (that thought had entered my mind). This is custom retrofit, no need to knock out portion of walls to re-​frame like my friend did.
I feel comfortable recommending this business to anybody. I love my windows

Staying with my parents from out of town for awhile, my mom needed her windows replaced. So we found Universal Windows Direct and made an appointment after finding them on Unilocal.Service was great from beginning to end. The rep was running 15 minutes late but he gave us a courtesy call and told my mom he would be there shortly. He was informative and professional and my mom said installation was quick. She loves her new windows and all the cooling benefits they provide.

After 11 different window bids we chose to go with direct windows Cody the sales agent was very knowledgeable about his company and answered every question asked (pat on back). Our windows came in a week earlier then planned another plus. The only issues we had that we couldn’t not give a five star is due to a miscommunication between installer and company. I called and spoke to Tommy about trying to fix this issue as we were promised and he acted very unprofessional on the phone (we forgive you), luckily We received a call back from owner Teresa whom apologized humbly and promised to make the matter with the window right which was greatly appreciated. Our new windows look beautiful and are good quality. On 05÷14÷14 our issue was resolved thank you much Teresa for being a woman of your word and for showing us that people like you truly care about their business. :) Thank you Wilber as well.
