If you are looking for the best for your pet then look no further. Today was Mia’s first appointment with Dr. Gross and she was outstanding! Mia was very anxious and Dr. Gross was very patient with her. Even though she is a puppy, Dr. Gross took her time to give her a proper check up. She address our concerns with getting her nails trimmed as she has a hard time with people letting her touch her paws and in no time at all Mia’s nails were perfectly trimmed. Lastly, the veterinarian took the time to address all our questions. We will be coming back with all of our dog’s needs!

Horrible hospital. All they want is your money. DO NOT GO HERE! I am saving you time, money and possibly your pets life. The level of unprofessionalism is unbelievable and it starts with the «doctors» and trickles down to the rest of the staff.
We brought our dog in after they overdosed her with too strong of a medication. Then they kept her overnight for 3 days until finally she died. I felt like all they tried to do was push for more money out of us. Also, when I visited my dog I noticed that the dogs in cages, if they barked too much they would tie their mouths shut and completely ignore them. This is a hospital that pushes for profit, and not for the care of your animal.
When you ask a question to the doctors or technicians, they talk to you like you’re stupid and belittle you. They are rude and act like «know it alls.» They don’t have doctors working there, only idiots in white coats that think they’re doctors that scam you for money by any means necessary. They showed no compassion when our dog died, the doctor didn’t even bother to talk to us. When we did call and asked questions the technician talked to us like we were crazy crying over a dog that had just died. The next day they handed our dog over to us in a bag off the floor.
Do yourself a favor and DO NOT GO HERE. Tell your friends and family because this hospital only wants your money.
Read the low star reviews below first, don’t trust the 5 star ones as much. I’ve worked in an office before and the staff usually make friends and family write good reviews to increase the hospital rating. Thanks.

DO NOT COME TO THIS HOSPITAL, my pet passed away within 1 week after doctors prescribed medication and «supposedly» watched over her during the 72 hour recommended hospital stay. It went all downhill after the first visit when a doctor prescribed her a certain medication, immediately after 1 dose my pets function drastically changed. What also pissed me off was being handed down to other doctors when we rushed back to the hospital after seeing what this medication did to her, there reply, «it couldn’t have been the medication?!» What the fuck?! The list of unprofessionalism goes on, but one other thing that irritates me the most is being handed along like a piece of meat from doctor to doctor having a new doctor recommend more shit my dog has to endure (second doctor recommended a 72 hour stay, which she died within 48 hours after check in). BUT WAIT!!! That’s not even the worst part, after she passed away the doctor that was there during the time of her death did not even give us a follow up call with detail info for closure, it was not until I was the one who gave them a call after waiting for HOURS the next day trying to figure out why my dog died. NO CLOSURE at all, I literally had to ask who was there, which technician was also there and what happened step by step.
It breaks my heart and pisses me the fuck off how everything was treated. All this within 1 WEEK MY DOG SAW A DOCTOR and got checked in.
Be VERY cautious about this hospital, THEY’RE only about pushing profits to get you back, even if it’s worth risking your pets life.

I have been to numerous veterinaries in Las Vegas. I have found Dr. Christopher Yach.
I highly recommend him and his caring & patient reception staff. Daisy has cancer and there is an Oncologist affiliated with this office. If you think you DO NOT have a choice when it comes to Veterinarian Oncology in Las Vegas BE ADVISED, Dr. Dennis Macy is available, well trusted by his peers and has an enormous amount of experience and empathy. If your pet has cancer PLEASE call the West Flamingo Animal Hospital where all of your concerns will be addressed no matter how long it takes. Don’t settle or think bigger is better.

Highly recommend Dr. Gross!!! I took my dog to another animal hospital before I came to Dr. Gross and I spend 1200+ on all different types of blood work, exams, x-​Rays, ultrasound and etc. and they still couldn’t figure out what’s going on with him. My puppy just getting worse and weaker. My heart was really breaking to see he go through all of it. It dragged for almost three months until I decided to switch to Dr. Gross. She spend nearly half an hour in the exam room with my and my dog for the first visit. Then she suggested me to run one blood test to find out whether my dog had pancreatitis or not. Three days later I got a call from her and explained the lab result and the treatment she would like to do. Now my dog is doing much better! And the lab exam+ medication was $ 190 total. I know west flamingo hospital charges a little higher than the average price, however all the veterinarians here are working in the field for many many years. A good doctor who has a lot of experiences and caring of you pet definitely save you more money and time!

I came into this vet to have one of my rescues spayed. During the evaluation the vet started suggesting running bloodwork and a few other procedures which I did not request. This dog is an 8 mo old energetic puppy she isn’t sick and dying. All in all they tried to quote me for $ 500??? For what a quick procedure on animals that I’ve rescued. Sorry but I’m in the Buisness of saving animals and giving them an amazing future not being another pay check for corrupt Buisness. Take your animals to west Charleston animal hospital only $ 80 there for the same thing. And to all my fur parents out there please explore your options to give your children the best healthcare and not get caught up in the scam.

I have a bunny with some serious dental issues. Every couple months Thumper needs to go in for a tooth trimming. I wouldn’t trust any other vet to do the job. Dr. Miller is amazing (and specializes in rabbits/​exotic pets) and the WFAH staff is very friendly. Anyone with a pet rabbit MUST go here!

We are so fortunate with all the good services and experiences we have identified since moving to Las Vegas. We love our neighborhood, and now that we have a 7 day per week veterinary resource around the corner for our Havanese, Teddy, and our Ragdoll queen Beatrix Cat, we are very grateful.
Today we brought Teddy in for a baseline examination since we just adopted him a month or so ago. He weighed in and had all systems checked by Dr. Miller who was awesome and explained everything so well. The techs and the front office staff are very helpful also.
The physical plant is gorgeous and there is a separate door for cats and dogs. When you first visit they welcome your pet in the exam room with a sign on the screen which states the pet’s name! Everything you need is under one roof: treats, medicine, doggie tooth brushes and toothpaste, and education! Teddy has a good waistline and so far is not out of shape.
Teddy liked everyone there very much. Thank you all for such a great first visit!

Dr. MILLER was so kind knowledgeable and worked with me through all the diagnosing of my kitty’s needs. The rest of the staff was so friendly too. Glad to have found such a caring vet in this big city! Oh, she also understood my financial issues andnworked n w I th me on an affordable health plan of attack.

I’ve not used this place. Nor will i. But I just want everyone to know that they support and offer ear cropping on little puppies!! It’s an absolutely barbaric practice. I cant believe vets still carry out this procedure! Please think twice before bringing your animal here. Its all about the money…

Why would a vet still support ear cropping?
A woman posted on FB the photo of her pit bull puppy on her way to your clinic to have her ears cropped, and likened it to a «boob job». Is this what responsible animal husbandry is about?

I had to take our beloved Spice to be euthanized. He had been with our family for 18 years and had become very ill. I am so impressed with the compassion and empathy everyone showed us as we made this dreadful decision. Since then, I have taken our other pets for their checkups and am very pleased with the care.

If I could give this hospital a million stars, I would. My 5 year old cat Samurai had diabetes and other health complications and not only were they more than helpful in getting him the care he needed, but they were super friendly and consistently went above and beyond for my baby. If I needed an emergency appointment, they made time for me. If I needed to board him, I knew he was in good hands because they would let me know the moment they noticed something was wrong with him. So I know they were super attentive with him. If I needed a few extra moments of the Dr’s time during an appointment, it was never a problem. They knew Samurai from the moment he walked in and they greeted him with open arms. I unfortunately had to put him down a week and a half ago, and they were patient with me and gave me as much time as I needed to make the decision, especially because it was so sudden. Even though it meant that I took up one of their exam rooms for a long time. They treated him with the upmost dignity in his final moments and even consoled me in my time of despair. These folks even made it easy to handle the arrangements after the fact, and I can’t express enough how grateful I am to have found this hospital. Thank you everyone at WFAH! I got your sympathy card today and it touched my heart deeply.
If you want the absolute best for your fur baby, West Flamingo is the place to go!

I brought my elderly dog in to be euthanized, instead of compassion from Dr Sheila Billingsley all I received was a guilt trip from her, making me feel horrible, like there was a lot more I could have done for him. At a time like this she should show more compassion, instead of trying to make more money. This was a very hard decision my wife and I had to make, and Dr Sheila sure didn’t make things any easier.
I will never take any more of my pets to this hospital.
Dr Billingsley, please respect people’s wishes and decisions at a time like this, instead of trying to make more money.

Very sweet people here. I mean, they saw me cry my eye out. One of the staff even brought me a box of tissues. Anyway, I brought my dog Snow White because of her first seizure (of course I panicked) and they were the only place open at 2 in the afternoon on a Sunday to make sure she was okay. They took care of her and that’s all I could ask for.

Dr Yach is absolutely the BEST! I’ve had two cats and a dog, and he is very patient, very knowledgable, and communicates impeccably the care that needs to take place in every situation.
I only gave 4 out of 5 stars because I have went to a few other doctors when my pet couldn’t be seen by dr Yach and I wasn’t impressed. Especially when it came time to put my 20 year old kitty down. The «other» doctor made me feel as though I was murdering my beloved pet… when really I just wanted the suffering to stop.
The front desk staff is super friendly, it’s a very clean establishment, and you can tell they truly care about all the pets they come in contact with.

And one star is one too many.
I am absolutely appalled by this place. My little sister brought her dog of 13 long years in to be humanely euthanized Wednesday night as he was struggling through the last night of his life. What did West Flamingo do? They told her to take him back home. It was «too late for euthanasia». Max spent the next 12 hours suffering while his best friend stayed awake with him until a more convenient hour came around and they would finally put the old man to rest.
Sorry, west flamingo, that Max chose a bad time for you to die. Good thing he stuck it out until ’til morning for you to collect $$$ after the horrific night you put him through, though.
Disgusted. Absolutely disgusted.

It’s really difficult to find a good people doctor, much less a good animal doctor! When I first moved to Las Vegas from the East Coast, I searched for what seemed like forever to find a good veterinarian for my beloved kitty. West Flamingo Animal Hospital was a name that kept coming up in conversation, so we went to check it out. They’ve been my vet ever since! The doctors are loving, kind and caring.
I, and my cats, really love that the office is divided into two different waiting areas — one side is for dogs and the other side is for cats, with the reception area in the middle as a large barrier. If your dog chases cats or if your cats aren’t fond of dogs, this simple little design really helps ease some of that stress. They even have a nice fish aquarium on the kitty side to keep them entertained a bit (and dog treats on the dog side).
The office is very clean and neat and the exam rooms are quiet and comfortable. I’ve never been in the back to the lab; they usually take your pet back there to do tests, x-​rays, bloodwork, etc. while you wait. The office stocks a variety of prescription pet foods, treats, grooming tools and toys too! Best of all are their hours — they are open until 10 pm most nights. This is crucial when you have a sick pet, as I did a few nights ago; I was able to get an appointment at 9 pm!
My beloved kitty who was their first patient has died of old age but I now take my two new adoptees there for care. I have been very, very pleased with all of the care they have received. In fact, when my first kitty died, the staff was SO caring and gentle and treated me and my pet in such a loving, caring way. I even received a sympathy card from the office in the mail.
I can’t say enough about the doctors and staff here. Take your pet: you’ll be so glad you did!
