West Valley Imaging

Have been going to W. Valley Imaging for all my radiology needs for several years. They are always professional, kind, punctual, and efficient. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Arrived, nervous and anxious, at 7 AM this past Friday. The receptionist was amazing — friendly, welcoming, etc. and it was early !!! I was taken in for my MRI about 5 minutes BEFORE my appointment time. Jim was the Tech and I told him I wasn’t really fond of small, enclosed spaces. He walked me through the process, advised about how long it would take and talked to me between the different scans just to be sure I was OK. I was relaxed throughout and it was a long session. Other Las Vegas health care providers should send their staff to West Valley to get an idea of how patient service should be handled. West Valley really it amazing and I thank them for their great service.

Staff is always friendly and kind up front and the tech in the back are also friendly and make you feel as comfortable as it can be. I’ve only been here twice, for X-​ray, MRI and CT scan and both times received great treatments and always on time. Enough that make me want to write them a good review. Can’t say the same for desert radiology or other labs.

Upon my arrival at the West Valley Imaging, I was immediately greeted by two front desk staff members– so far so good right. However in their attempt to be quick and efficient, I was rushed by one of the front desk staff members so much so to the point of not being allowed to
complete the necessary information requested
on the sign in sheet. And there was no one else
standing in line behind me, so what’s the rush?
My check in time was 7:42am and since I was already on file due to previous visits, I only had to complete one form of medical information. My name was called around 8:00 am whereby I was then directed to a changing room in preparation for my annual mammogram by a very friendly, polite and efficient Radiology Technician. Now for a successful outcome, I was asked your standard questions as to whether or not I was wearing baby powder, deodorant, perfume or was pregnant.
The Radiology Technician followed up w/​a step by step explanation of the medical procedure she was performing and before you knew it, I was done by 8:13 am on an appointment that was scheduled for 8:15 am. So yes, I would not
only recommend this facility to a friend, but to a stranger and an enemy as well. Speed lighting !

After suffering with sciatica for over 12 weeks I decided to go ahead and have the surgery. Well the so called internist that is on my plan does not have an EKG machine in his office so I was sent to West Valley Imaging for that and a chest xray as part of the pre op. When I called and requested an appointment I was asked for my insurance info, since I have two plans I gave them all of the info over the phone. The lady I spoke to gave me an 8am appointment but said I had to be at their office at 715am. Okay, I could not understand why I would have to be there 45 minutes early. I arrived at 7am and was handed a clipboard of which it asked my insurance info, I told the lady that they already had that info as I gave it to them over the phone before the appointment was made. She then asked for my insurance cards and my drivers license. They took their old sweet time returning my info. I was told that I should sit down and they would call me shortly. Well I sat and one thing I have not told you their was a screamy little baby and the mother was oblivious to the noise this brat was making. I sat and I sat and then I looked at my watch and it was 8am and still no one had called my name, I went up to the lady who took all my info and asked why I had not been called and I got the same line they would be calling my name shortly. At 815 the office girl that I had talked to prevously walked me down to the their so called waiting room and told me they would call me soon. Well by this time my pain meds were starting to wear off and I was getting irritated of the utter stupidity of this office. This was not the afternoon this was the morning and they opened at 7am so I could not understand what was taking so long. Finally a young guy came out and called my name he was to do the EKG he took me into a room and had me unbutton my shirt so he could attach the leads for the EKG I must have been his first victim as he had to move the leads around and check to see if the machine was approving of the placement. He had this really ratty looking lazy boy type chair and when he tried to recline the chair would not stay. He finally got the EKG readings to work next it was the chest xray, well the pain was sharp and throbbing and this tech took her time positioning me standing on the bad leg for a chest xray. I was glad to get out of that office which when I got into my car the clock said 9:45 I would not recommend this facility to my worst enemy If it wasn’t for wanting to get my surgery I would have walked out of this place after the first nonsense about the insurance info If you want efficiency do not go here. This quack of a doctor is next on my shit list Cannot believe he does not have an EKG machine in his office

The front desk/​check-​in staff was very friendly and professional. I had to wait a bit due to my doctor’s office put a wrong code on my refer paper. She was able to reach someone at my doctor’s office and got me checked in right away. Immediately, I recognized Sharon for my mammogram from the previous visits… She’s very professional and friendly. Then that’s Ms. Lydia for my Bone Density Test. Such a sweet lady, friendly, caring, professional and always has a smile! Makes me want to listen to her everyday and feel blessed to be alive and make the most of our lives… Thank you for your professionalism & caring always. I would highly recommend this Rainbow location.

The staff was very friendly quick to check me and very informative about the procedure and treated my anxiety issues with allowing me to bring to come back with me and ask questions and made me feel very secure would definitely recommend this place to anyone

A very professional facility with friendly and polite staff. The office is very busy, but I was taken in a timely manner. Not a huge wait time. I will return for future visits.

The employee associates at West Valley Imaging made me feel at ease. They were professional and easy going at the same time. Armando was very helpful from beginning to end. Yolanda took me in, expained what she would be doing and was very helpful & efficient. Carol was warm and supportive, in either way of my outcome. I will see them in a year. I have been going to West Valley Imaging on Rainbow for almost 15 years. Their mammogram area is the best! Very professional, caring staff, fast and NO PAIN! However, if there is a concern, they will take other films or suggest an ultrasound. I had to go to another facility one year due to insurance and it was an awful experience, glad to go back to West Valley. I have had other imaging done there, with no problems. I had a billing issue once but I called and it was corrected right away.

There billing department is very unprofessional and unorganized. You should have someone respectful on the phone. Getting loud and getting smart and rude is NOT ok to do to your customers. The lady’s name is Stephanie and was EXTREMELY RUDE! Do not go here ever to this place POOR customer service!

SAVE THE TATAS — Review for Mammograms Only
October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month and I recently became aware at my annual physical that I hadn’t had a mammogram in two years: perfect timing. I’ve been to West Valley Imaging for that uncomfortable but recommended exam before and both visits were quick and as relatively painless as can be when you’re a female getting your tatas squished by a machine. It helps that I schedule the first appointment available in the morning, which is 8:00am. Arrive at 7:30am, fill out the requisite paperwork, get dressed in one of those exam gowns («opening in the front») and be in an exam room by 8:00am. The lady mammographers are very friendly and make a point to ensure that you’re as comfortable as can be in this situation. In total, there were four different films taken with lots of, «Turn towards me. Now raise your arm over here. Face the machine this way. Relax your shoulder,» instructions from the technician. It really doesn’t take that long and the radiologist reads the films in a few minutes. I was dressed and done with my whole appointment by 8:20am.
I have friends who are breast cancer survivors and have lost one to the disease. Breast cancer affects 1 in 8 women in their lifetime. Mammograms aren’t fun, they’re not comfortable, but they could save your life. If you have a choice to come to WVI, I recommend them.

Very professional. I had first appt of the day so I could make it to work on time. They got me in and out on schedule. I returned later to pick up copies of scans for the doctor and again I received polite professional timely service b

Staff is very respectful and the place is quiet. Been going here from referrals from UNLV whenever needed. Wait times can become long, but what can you expect? They do walk-​ins, and all my visits have been for an x-​Ray. Zach, the technologist does his job very well and they even give your images back on a disc in a hurry.

I went here to for an X-​ray and a MRI. Both times I had very good experiences. The people were not only friendly but fast. There was no wait time for either appointment. They made sure that during my MRI I was comfortable. The front desk was very helpful and answered any questions I had. The techs were also extremely friendly and careful while doing my exams.

I had an appointment, a STAT appointment, made yesterday. The guy on the phone told me NO prep was required. I even ASKED do I need to fast, nope.
So, I was confused about the timing, and called back. Which is when I asked again and was told YES, nothing after 7 AM. Well, crap but good I checked. She said «He’s new, he didn’t know». Really?
Cut to today, they called to say that the Dr who wrote the order isn’t in my network, so they cant do the test til they get it approved. I asked if that would be today, and he said maybe. I said I’ve been starving and thirsty, so I really would like it, plus I don’t want to drop dead, which the doctor said could indeed happen, :(. He said «Oh, you didn’t need to fast. You only have to fast for four hours!». I explained that I was pissed. He apologized.
Yeah.
So, here I sit, still starving, thirsty, in pain, with even more pain than before, and no call backs.
I REALLY hope next time I get a choice of where to go. It will NOT be here. TEST! Damn, people! I argued, they finally agreed that I wasn’t but seriously? This place is a hazard!
Run, my crazy little friends, somewhere else. The guys doing the test were nice, maybe a sense of humor would help them, but nice doesn’t cut it when you stabbing me with needles and injecting me with Nuclear crap!

A horrible claustrophobic, West Valley Imaging is a super place for my MRI & annual PET Scan: they offer IV sedation. The tech there knows me and my magical bag of phobias so well that when he called me in last visit he said «I saw your name on my list yesterday and was glad I’d be able to help you.»
Once you change into your gown (don’t wear jewelry or pony tail holders/​hair clips) and stow belongings in a locker, depending on the type of test you’re undergoing, the tech will lead you to the correct room (s) situate you and give you headsets. For me, these are a lifeline as he calmly talks me through the procedure (s) Several times he came in to give me more IV Valium to relax me as the test took quite a long time; and explain WHY it was taking longer. Shoot, I wish I could remember his name. Eric? Tall, friendly fella with glasses and a great demeanor.
Since I’ve even fled «open MRI» locales, I pay a hefty «out of Network» fee to go here. But, my testing runs smoothly, and to me it is amazing that the Tech remembers me now… nearly seven years after my first visit. (and can rattle off my list of phobias: many non-​PC :)
Would absolutely suggest them to anyone. The only reason I don’t give 5* is they don’t have the combo CAT/​PET machine and that adds a long time to an already long and nerve wracking test. Imagine it is very expensive equipment, I’ve only seen one here at NV Cancer Institute and in other state’s hospitals.
Unilocal 100 Challenge

I made an appointment at WV Imaging for my first ever mammogram. I wasn’t super excited about going, but I am a lady who is nearing 40 so I decided to get the «first time» experience over with. Making an appointment and checking to see if WV accepted my insurance was easy with one quick phone call.
The exam itself was rather awkward and uncomfortable, but not painful. I was very thankful for my technician who was informative about the process, she was patient when I asked questions. She really tried to make me feel at ease the best she could. We even shared a few jokes during the procedure but she was remained professional the entire time.
My only gripe was that I didn’t get to speak to a doctor about my results. The technician said that she showed my images to the doctor and he signed a paper saying my results were clean. WV does forward the images to the doctor of your choice so I guess I can ask my primary doctor the next time I see her.
