YEE: Zen It Out @ Trufusion!

Feeling HOT HOT HOT! This was one sure HOT event (pun intended!). Zen it out at Trufusion! was a welcome departure from the usual foodie Unilocal events and got all those calories burning! I bravely decided to try the barefoot boot camp and it was beyond challenging. The instructors were motivating and the moves definitely tested my body. The foregoing combined with the heat definitely made my post-​workout In N Out very rewarding ;)
Trufusion is a gorgeous gym. After taking the tour of the facility, I decided that the bathrooms and amenities were more like a spa than your average gym. Definitely put LVAC to shame! I am so grateful for the free week trial, I will make use of that!

When I RSVPed to this event, I thought I was being brave. I’ve been workin’ on my fitness and eating a clean diet. When Nate sent out an email stating that there was an overabundance of people that signed up for Yoga, that the two classes offered were going to be first come, first served. Deathly afraid of whatever the hot room had to offer, I arrived early and in true Jessica fashion decided to do the Hot Room Barre Pilates class.
Since I was rearly, I started talking to the various Unilocalers, new and old. It’s been a while since I have been to an event, so it was nice to see new faces and a few familiar ones. I met Vicky B. at this event and she was my event BFF.
Luis gave us a tour. There are two sides with two work out rooms each. One a fitness side, the other concentrating on yoga. Each side had a hot room with varied humidity and was set to about 95 degrees. Lockers were available with a high-​tech, create your own 4 digit code, or there are varied cubies to stash your belongings.
2 minutes after setting myself up for the HRBP class, I knew I was gonna be face-​to-​face with death. Martin instructed our group and he was amazing! Great energy, great instruction, killer bod (fo’ reals). This class kicked the shit out of me, literally, I had to «haul ass to the ladies» (bonus points if you know the movie I just referenced). After my short break, I entered the void again, with kool-​aid red streaks rolling down my forehead, neck, and chest. I finished like a champ.
After class, the little café offered several refreshing and tasty smoothies! All vegan and organic! The staff at the café were friendly, adorable, and didn’t mind that I was yacking their ear off.
TruFusion is definitely a high-​end place to get your but kicked! Wish they were a lot closer to my neck of the woods!

This was a really fun Unilocal event. Kudos to Nate for pulling it off for us.
I have been focusing on cardio so much lately, I decided to zero in on some yoga. I took the Yin yoga class and I am seriously hooked. I have been to too many yoga classes that were a little on the weird side, so this type of yoga was right up my alley. It was challenging and I felt really good after I took the class.
The smoothie samples were pretty yummy. All of the staff before and after the event were very nice and helpful. I am super excited to try out my free week at Trufusion too as I want to try the 2 hours Yin class!

There was a time when I was a regular at heated classes and this made me realize how much I miss them. I chose the boot camp style workout over the yoga. It was a mix of hot pilates, barre, kettle bell and yoga. While waiting to enter the room I was impressed with maintenance waiting outside to clean the room before we were allowed to enter for our class. Martin is a great instructor. I was fan of his from a previous studio. He gave a intro on what to expect, encouraged the class and kept an eye on form. I’ve never taken a barre class before and that was taught by another instructor, and unfortunately I don’t remember her name but that portion was challenging as well.
After class we were treated to a smoothie sampling. My favorite was the Peanut Butter Bum. I am a big fan of non food events and this one didn’t disappoint. Thanks, Nate and Trufusion! I look forward to their opening a location in Downtown Summerlin next year so I can make it a regular part of my routine.

I am all for getting healthier lately, so I was excited to be apart of this event. I really wanted to do the yoga class and luckily when I got there it wasn’t full. My +1 Terri R. was already there.
The style of yoga we were a part of was called yin yoga. Yin is the opposite of yang. I was very much looking forward to the stress relief. He walked us through each pose and gave us three levels of difficulty. I pushed myself as far as I could go. He didn’t keep us in the poses for as long as he does in the regular classes, but it was long enough for me. I came out of that class refreshed and alive. At one point I was told I looked stoned. Well sir, that would be the feeling of euphoria. After class we had small refreshments. The sample smoothies were refreshing although I only had a chance to try one. I think people were a little parched.
Sadly this facility is not close to my home or I would probably join. But I over heard that there may be one coming to DT Summerlin. That would be awesome! Lastly, thanks to Nate for always Rockin the events. I love the chance to meet new people and hang with friends.

It’s getting hot in here so strike your best Unilocal pose!
I have never tried a hot class before and wasn’t really sure what I was in for but I had a wonderful first time experience at this Unilocal event. Walking into TruFusion felt like walking into a spa. It spelled like aromatherapy and I was warmly welcomed by the staff. I loved that they had a counter for smoothies, coffee and other snack and the bathrooms had showers with shampoo and soap along with lockers to store your belongings. I even noticed they had a water filter area to fill up your reusable bottles.
The bootcamp/​kettlebell/​vinyasa yoga/​pilates/​barre class I took was tough. Maybe I am incredibly out of shape or the heat was a lot to handle for a first timer I can’t be sure, but even saying that I had a great time. I enjoyed the instructors knowledge, motivation and explanation of all of the movements and poses and the lighting and motivational quotes on the walls. I definitely felt like I got a great workout.
The coconut water and smoothies were a great end to this event. My favorites were the Watermelon Revitalizer and the Peanut Butter Burn.
I loved the uniqueness of this event and had a great time breaking or rather shedding what felt like 10 pounds worth of sweat!

Elite events are usually all about the food and drinks, so I was excited to see this event come up. Upon arrival, my +1, Rachel S, and I checked in and loaded up on bottled water and coconut water, and CM Nate handed me an elite swag bag. We were given a choice between Yin Yoga or barefoot fitness and I decided to choose the later so I could try out multiple classes and get a nice, sweaty workout in. The room was super hot! I was already sweating like crazy while we were standing around waiting for class to begin!
Although the barefoot fitness class was originally supposed to be barefoot bootcamp, it ended up being a variety of classes so that we could experience a little of everything offered at Trufusion. We started with some mat pilates which were mostly core exercises, then moved kettlebell workouts, then barre, and lastly some yoga/​stretching for our cool down. Although it was super hot, it ended up being a great class and one of the better workouts I’ve had in a long while! I had a lot of fun, and mainly attribute it to the variety of workouts we had. Had we done an hour of the same type of exercises, it probably would’ve been a lot tougher and less enjoyable!
After class we got samples of 4 different smoothies from the juice bar. I tried the 2 fruit based ones, although I already forgot what was in them… I’m glad there were clean towels avaiable because I forgot to bring one and was so sweaty I felt like I had just jumped into a pool with my clothes on! Thank goodness for dri-​fit clothing!
This event was awesome overall! If it weren’t so far far away from me, I’d consider coming back again! Big thanks to CM Nate and Trufusion for setting this up!

Talk about another kick you right in the ass Unilocal event! Literally. It was my first Unilocal workout/​fitness event. I have seen previous ones like Crossfit or other yoga ones just never worked out for me. So I was really excited about doing my first yoga class. Not only because of the benefits but yoga something that meaning to get into for my endurance sports. Once I heard that the event going held at Trufusion. Which I only heard good things about and super nice high end place never been more excited for Unilocal event! Seriously more so then food event plus by the end of it just feel «Good».
Biggest shout out too our CM Nate and another top notch awesome Unilocal event. Nate is truly doing awesome job not only for Unilocal elites but all Unilocalers. We are very blessed with history of unreal. kickass, and great CM.
I got to the event early since yoga was first come first serve. Honest when hearing about the bootcamp was thinking about skipping the yoga. It something that always wanted to try and really happy in the end choose wisely. Nate did amazing job with the check-​in. Well organized came too communication everyone sign up for bootcamp or yoga class. The refreshments on hand was awesome. I got some coconut water get pre hydration. The swag bag was Unilocal amazing. It had frisbee (new Unilocal collection), drink mug (love it), and more Unilocal swag. Also bottles of water. The best refreshment Trufusion hooked all Unilocalers up with some of the smoothies. The yoga class was amazing. Randall our instructor not only knew his YOGA but talk about patience with first timer and most non flexible student. You know its bad when he comes over more then three times and one point he like you REALLY need yoga. I know. Great guy made my first experience great one. I look forward using Unilocal week free take more of his classes and hopefully work up to level 3.
Huge shout out to the entire staff at Trufusion. I know going miss few people along the way. The gm took us on tour of the facility. Four different rooms each one has different classes and different temperature setting for the classes. I heard great things about the bootcamp instructor from other Unilocalers. I can honestly say Randall for first timer or advance is awesome yoga instructor. The front desk staff super friendly with every Unilocaler and the girls did all our smoothies. Every step along the way the entire staff super friendly, explained everything and anything we had questions. Not sure the price but I can tell you Trufusion ROCKS! Mahalos.

My back was sore the next day. No, not because of old age… the barre portion of our hot bootcamp class was the culprit. And it’s a good kind of sore. The kind that makes you feel like «yess…I worked out and was productive while I was in class.»
Trufusion was easy to get to with a big parking lot. You’re bound to find parking here. Our barefoot bootcamp room was heated at a 90+ degree temperature. I was already glistened with sweat even though I was just sitting there!
Our hour long class flew by super quick! The lights were dimmed in the room. Our class was mixed with a few yoga poses, kettlebells, squats, leg lifts and our favorite *insert sarcastic tone*…the barre. I felt like I was back in ballet class. At the end, we cooled down by doing a few stretch sequences with deep breathing. Kinda wished we focused on abs though but I thoroughly enjoyed the class very much.
After class, we joined the hot yoga group back outside around the smoothie bar area. Best thing was trying an assortment of smoothie samples. My favorite was the one on the far right… the «Gorilla _​_​_​_​_​_​.» There were coconuts, bananas and others mixed in that concoction. I also tried the watermelon (very refreshing) and the green one mixed with green fruits and veggies (that one was my second fav.)
I would love to have more fitness related Elite Events like these. It’s always a blast and it’s perfect to get your work out in while meeting new Unilocalers and to see familiar faces! Thanks Nate and Trufusion for putting this together! Can’t wait for the next one! I’m excited for my one week free trail. Anyone down to meet up and take a class with me? Let me know! =)

The facility is very pretty, nice, and clean. I love the fact that they have merchandise and a smoothie bar! After arrival, check in, and swag bags, we were given a quick tour of their space with Assistant GM, Lawrence. I think it’s great that they have rooms dedicated to specific workouts and options for normal or hot (103 °F, 55% humidity for yoga).
I was so happy that I was able to bring Ruben (he actually volunteered!) since he has never participated in yoga previously. We opted for the Yin Yoga class with Randall. I’ve been to a few different yoga classes and this was one of my favorite. I enjoyed the style and Randall was a fabulous instructor. He was very descriptive and so intuitive to our individual needs throughout the class. Although a very calm yoga session, I was still challenged with a few poses that were new to me. The room was nice and I liked the accompanying calm music/​sounds, however, it was still rather warm and humid for a «normal» room.
After class, we were treated to samples of smoothies. I missed out on a couple of them, but the two I did try — Glowing Green and Peanut Butter Burn — were so delicious!
Besides Unilocaly swag bags, we were well-​equipped with water, Vita Coco coconut water, and nutrition bars. There were two brands: thinkThin Protein Nut Bars (Dark Chocolate, Original Roasted Almond) and Pure Organic Ancient Grains Bars (Peanut Butter Chocolate, Chocolate Chunk Nut, Triple Berry). The Pure Organic bars are all GF and Vegan!
Overall a suuuuper fab event!

I was so glad that I chose the Yin yoga class! It was dark, relaxing, and very calming. I was proud of myself to be able to follow along with Randall and the poses he had us do during the class. He was very encouraging and knowledgeable.
I missed the tour of the facility but it was very organized and clean from what I saw. The employees that I met were very friendly and enthusiastic about Trufusion and what they offer.
Thanks for the offerings of granola bars, water, smoothies, and of course the Unilocal swag.
I love that we Elites can get together– laugh, catch up, and at this event get to feeling great after an awesome yoga/​bootcamp experience.

First YEE ever for me!
I know a lot of people that come to this place and swear by the versatility of classes and inspirational instructors, so I was pumped when I saw this event pop up. Got here a little early, which gave me enough time to meet our fantastic YE community organizers! Thank you guys for putting this together for us.
First impressions of this location were largely positive: large front lobby, inviting front desk, bright lights and earthy tones, great shopping selection if you forgot to wear pants, and pristine floors and bathrooms. The only thing that threw me off was their choice of essential oils; it gave off that smell your basement gets after it’s been flooded. Would definitely change this to something more appealing. I missed the tour of the facility, so I’ll have to come back to peak in all the different rooms.
And yes! I picked yoga! It’s popular for a reason. Some of us, like me, have physical limitations when it comes to working out. Fortunately, yoga does any body good! The yoga room was beautiful! Nice «wood floors» and even stickers on the floor as guide of where to place your mat. It’s a nice touch that they have cubby holes to store your belongings. I’m so used to throwing my stuff down on the floor and hoping someone doesn’t walk off with my sandals (which has happened twice in the past year).
Randall, our instructor, had the room dimly lit, and was playing some ambient music to set the mood. My initial thought was «Oh, it’s THAT kind of yoga… GREAT.» I am a practitioner of Bikram Yoga, which is very different. I shy away from dark rooms and candles when I’m going for a workout. He explained that we would be doing Yin Yoga, and gave a brief overview of its benefits.
The poses were slow, but progressive. You could go as deep as you needed to until you felt some discomfort, which we were instructed to breath into. He guided us through breathing, and reminded us to check our egos. It was an additional challenge to keep eyes closed. I left the class feeling completely drunk and like I had gotten a full body Swedish massage. I did sleep like a baby, as Randall said we would, and I feel awesome today! I’m actually sore, and totally sold on Yin Yoga! I think I will definitely supplement my normal Bikram yoga routine with something more meditative. It was nice to try something different.
We got tasty smoothie samples at the smoothie bar, after taking a first, serious, and second, funny group photo. Got an awesome Unilocal swag bag… thanks, Nate and Tiffany! The lobby was a little packed before and after, so I hope to me some meet some more YE’s at the next event I attend! And let me just throw in my two cents: I love doing events that aren’t totally food related. People come to our great city for food, drink, and entertainment, but we also have culture, arts, and good mind/​body places (and I don’t mean the kind in Pahrump!)

I’ve recently sparked a huge interest in Bikram classes and this event just added fuel to the flame!
I’ve only been to one other yoga studio and this one is by far A LOT cleaner. When you enter, you’re greeted by their front desk along with a small clothing shop. You can buy some yoga gear, clothing, and even Hydroflasks. This place even has a juice/​smoothie bar right next to the front desk! I mean, how genius! I’m sure I’m not the only one who ends a Bikram class and has an appetite for a smoothie =) The place is pretty modern. They have lockers with keyless locks. You no longer need to bring your own lock. They also provide a ton of cubby spaces for your keys, slippers, etc. you know. The things you don’t necessarily need to lock up.
Moving along to the actual class… My friend and I decided to opt for their introductory barefoot boot camp class. I’ve done a sculpt class before that consists of Pilates and yoga, but I’ve never taken a barre class. I have to commend ballerinas because doing all that leg work is harder than it looks. I thought my legs were going to detach from my body at one point. I think it was smart for Nate and the people at Trufusion to break this class down because it gave new timers a little taste of what to expect without overwhelming them.
As always, there wouldn’t be a Unilocal event without some Unilocal gear and freebies. I actually ended up using the tumbler the next day at work. As for the smoothie samples, the watermelon was mighty fresh.
One of my favorite Unilocal events so far because I got to do what I love to do! Thanks Nate and the people of Trufusion for hosting this event!

My first Elite event in LV and it was a sweaty good time.
The check-​in was smooth, we got protein bars to hold us over and plenty of water to hydrate us. We also got Unilocal goodies to add to the growing collection.
I didn’t know what to expect, but I signed up for the boot camp and it was a hard class. Somehow, I was able to dig deep, zen out and muster some strength to get through this workout. We had an amazing instructor working through a introduction of yoga, kettlebells, breathing techniques to do an entire body workout. Like if that wasn’t enough we had Jenny to do bar exercise. I never sweat so much in my workouts, but then again it’s hot boot camp.
This place is nice and bright just like the staff members. The big incentive is, we get to have a free week to try out Trufusion.
I haven’t had a steady workout in months and this was a great way to kick start the motivational aspect. I was very thankful for the sampler shakes they had towards the end of our workout. The kale and banana mixture had about 20 grams of protein per order.
It was a fun event and I never knew I would have to work (out) so hard for an Elite event.

I made a last– minute decision to attend this event and was lucky enough to be Lore D.‘s +1– thank you, my friend!
With Unilocalers having a choice of yoga or boot camp classes, I took the yoga class taught by Randall. After a long week, his soothing yin class was just what I needed to de-​stress and stretch out the knots. He told the class that we’d sleep like babies tonight and I believe him! But first, this review.
The studio is very large with several classrooms available. There’s even TRX training available.
After class, we took a group photo in the lobby, sampled smoothies, and got a bag full of Unilocal swag. It’s nice that Nate, Tiffany, and Toby were in attendance and able to take class, as well.
This was a great event because it was one that involved physical activity, not just the kind where you lift your fork up and down. Thank you TruFusion and Las Vegas Unilocal squad: let’s do more of this. Namaste.

My oh my this event really kicked my butt!
Thank you to everyone over at TruFusion for an amazing time! I’m positive my legs are going to hurtttt tomorrow after attending Martin’s bootcamp/​pilates/​barre/​kettlebells class. :O
It was my first time doing the bootcamp and barre at TF and let me tell you… it was intense. I’ve done their yoga classes before but this was on a whole other level. Let me just say that barre is a really good workout and props to all of the ballet dancers out there
We got the usual fun Unilocal swag bag and yoga mats and towels were provided for our classes. TF gave us Unilocalers some smoothie samples of what they offer at their bar. The staff were super helpful and friendly, explaining what each smoothie was and what was in it!
Me and my roomie had a great time getting drenched in sweat. Thanks Nate and TruFusion!

(Almost) forgot how much I love PiYo (pilates/​yoga)!
And with this event, I got to experience kettlebells and barre, too!
I’ve been itching to try TruFusion as my all-​time-​favorite instructor (at Vegas Hot) — Martin — opened this spot. But, it was so far from my house and I stopped going to yoga, yada yada, etc etc.
So when this event popped up, I jumped at the chance. Even bugging Nate on whether I was in :)
This place has an abundance of parking, clean bathrooms, and a lot of space in the room.
Luckily, Martin **swoon** was our instructor for Bootcamp. I was excited to listen to the music we would be working out to as Martin has an eclectic/​funky mix of music for his sessions. And he didn’t disappoint. The music and lighting that changed colors (mood lighting) went well to cover my sweaty face and body.
Experiencing barre was something else. I mean, it looks so easy right??! WRONG! It burned A GOOD BURN but, definitely not what I was expecting. Much props to those ballerinas out there!!!
After our session, we were treated to various smoothies and it was really nice to get back into the yoga groove.
I really missed it and even tho Tru is far from me; I think I can make the effort FOR ME!

I got to Trufusion waaaay too early. I had the chance to tour the facility before everyone else got there. I was pretty impressed. The place is immaculate, bright (except for the yoga/​fitness rooms) and there’s somebody mopping the floor all the time. They have a bar that serves smoothies, acai bowls, vegan treats, tea, coffee and other drinks. They sell yoga mats, oils/​sprays, videos, books, blocks, a few Lululemon stuff and outfits. They have bathrooms, showers, and a locker area. I checked in with the lovely Ms. Tiffany. I got the chance to meet Unilocalers that were new to me and got to chat a bit with old-​timers that I rarely see since I’ve only been signing up to non-​food centered events for the past year or so.
I signed up for this event with one thing in mind: I’ll take the class that’s less popular. I had a feeling I’ll end up doing Barefoot Bootcamp which is absolutely fine. My right glute has been sore for the past 2 days so, I’m up for whatever.
We got separated into 2 groups: yoga peeps and hot barefoot fitness peeps. I took out my yoga mat, towel and my drink… and grabbed a cushion and a kettle bell. I can’t remember the name of our instructor but it might have been Don Passeaut. He made us do some yoga poses, kettle bell exercises, hip openers, and some cardio. «Squeeze your biceps! Squeeze your butt cheeks! Squeeze your thighs!» Janet/​Jennifer «The Ninja» in orange taught barre for a bit which I’ve not done — I can’t call my 2-​day ballet stint when I was 4 «experience».
I was dripping in sweat and my yoga top was drenched. But I felt relaxed after. We had smoothie samples waiting for us. I tried the Peanut Butter smoothie and Gorilla — soooo delicious!
