They replaced AC compressor and a whole bunch of AC related stuff on my Ford Escape. AC worked great when I picked up the truck but the next day it stopped blowing cold air completely. I brought the truck back in and they said that one of the installed parts was defective. They replaced it for free and now AC works great again! If they have gotten it right the first time I would have left 5 star review.

Best shop in town. You have an issue? Talk to Victor. He’ll fill you in on everything. I’ve been going there for a few years now. I once thought I was being over charged for a new blower motor for my AC. The plastic housing on the stock part was melting down in the hot sun. I went home and did some research, and then called back asking why the quote was so high. Turned out they were using a superior part with a metal housing instead of replacing with a stock part so the issue doesn’t happen again. That was EXACTLY what I read in an online forum about my car. The forum said the stock part is the cheapest option but to use the after market part for this repair and it will cost roughly $ 400. I got out of there paying under $ 400. They seem to want a steady flow of repeat customers by being honest instead of just gouging you on big repairs or taking advantage of naïve customers. I get all my oil changes there for both my cars and will continue to do so as long as the owner/​managers stay put. Was just in there the other day for an oil change and was afraid of some issues I was having. Victor laid it all out and recommended a few things, but he never puts on a high pressure sales pitch. He will advise you to take notice of it if you choose not to get things fixed right away. But if he tells you that you should repair it right away, you should probably get it done. The whole staff is pleasant and waiting area always has drinks and snacks. As with all things, I love getting a second opinion and I would encourage you to do the same. Then you’ll see why this shop is the best in town.

This makes the second vehicle they performed miracles on. My first car needed the head replaced and they beat the price of everyone in town. Did I mention how great the customer support is? I would just like to say thank you again and I truly appreciate everything you all have done for me.

I spent over $ 400 on repairs fixing something that wasn’t even the root of the problem. 2 months later I have a check engine sign and my car is shaking. Rip offs.

I brought my custom 2004 Thunderbird into zip zap for a breaking problem. The more they got into it the more problems they found. Tom was fabulous, searching the entire country for the parts I needed. When the work was done, everything worked perfectly, and the price was right. I won’t let anyone else touch my cars!

Victor did a great job. Told me to come in and get my brakes checked about two months ago. Honest and gave me measurements on the rear drums and said all they needed was a cleaning. $ 60 and 45 mins later I was on my way. I already referred someone who was happy to have gone there. I will be back soon for an alignment and another brake cleaning!

I had a brake problem and a check engine light lit. The diagnosis on the check engine light was a bad catalytic converter. They quoted approx. $ 850 to replace it. Luckily I checked with my dealer who informed me that it was covered 100% by my emission control warranty (vehicle is a 2010 model with 67,000 miles on it) and they also informed me that it was a federal law that all vehicles manufactured after 1995 carry an 8 year, 80,000 mile warranty. This is something that I’m certain they were aware of but chose not to inform me.
My brake pads and rotors were replaced approx. 1 year ago. When I started to feel a «jerkiness» when braking I decided to have them checked. This outfit diagnosed that the rotors were warped beyond being able to be resurfaced, the brake pads were worn out and I had a leak in the hydraulic system. The estimate to repair was slightly over $ 300.00. After the warranty incident I decided to have the brakes checked at another repair shop. (Mr. Brakes, also a Unilocal member.) they informed me that a small piece of one brake pad had basically fused itself to one rotor. They said that because the rotors and pads looked very new all that needed to be done was resurfacing one rotor. Cost: $ 80.00! They also said that there was no evidence of any hydraulic system!

Called that morning was told to drop it off, and they were done by noon. Fast turnaround, and efficient. They are all about the business.

They said it was urgent that I replace my water coolant and they gave me a long list if repairs needed. Only two were accurate and the rest was just scam. I drove 3000 miles already since I last saw them and I never will go back

I went in at 8:45 in the morning for an AC check and by 9:45 I was on my way with cooler air. Viktor was awesome and the lady at the front desk was very nice. I’ll definitely be returning.

These guys are great! Truly honest people working there! Victor worked on my car and did a great job. The also have complimentary coffee, apple cider tea and hot chocolate. They also have free ice cream and bottle water. I know the other problems with my car and they’re willing to give you deals on labor if you bring your own parts. I’ll be going to them for all my repairs from here on out. I’ve already referred a few friends down there and they’re happy with them also.

i had just took out a loan to purchase a used truck which promptly died within 2 weeks of purchase. needless to say i was a bit stressed. had the truck to Victor and his staff. within days they fouund nothing seriously wrong. and had me back on the road.

I left quite a positive review for this place before and I am going to go ahead and take back my statement. These guys are the definition of rip off artists. I came in and needed my radiator replaced. I have had this done before and it shouldn’t cost more than 400 on the high side. They told me it was going to be 600 something just to put in the radiator. Then they told me that the radiator may not be the problem and that even after putting it in that it may cost more just to find what the problem is. They will try to fuck you. Be aware!

About a month ago I pulled my BMW up a little too close to a parking median and I pulled my bumper off. I dragged the bumper into the nearest car dealership. There were actually three to pick from. It was hard to determine which was which because they are next to each other.
I walked into Zip Zap Auto., and met Victor. Victor took my car in immediately threw it up on the hoist and fastened my bumper. This job normally would’ve cost at least a half an hour in labor or more., but Victor did it for free. I promised him the next time I need service on my car I would come back to him.
Two weeks later I needed an oil change– I brought my car in to see Victor he did my oil change, gave my car a full inspection and also refastened the bumper that was a little loose still.
My bill was only $ 40. Wow! But wait. Theres more.
Again I promise to bring the car back till next time–
I was about 30 miles away from Zip Zap Auto when my car started to overheat., Victor the only mechanic I know in town I called right away. Victor said it may be a water pump give me some quotations on it and offered to have it towed at no cost. His customer service was out of this world. I still was hesitant, or stubborn., hoping it would fix itself.
I ended up getting a tow and calling around to different shops to get quotations. I needed a waterpump. BMW wanted to charge me 1600, A place downtown quoted me 1000– That night while at home thinking about what I was going to do, Victor called me. He called me at 630pm, it was after hours. He called just to check on me, make sure I was home safe, and wanted to know if i wanted to bring it in tomorrow. This was extremely over the top. And very welcomed.
I brought the car in the next morning., he put me at complete ease, explaining all that he would do for me, and said he would try to have it finished today. it was completed by 5pm that same day. Victor was very knowledgable, kind, courteous, and it never once felt like a «sale»., it felt like he was helping me. Doing me a favour.
I will forever be a zip zap faithful customer.
