We were headed to the airport and based on the good Unilocal reviews decided to give this place a try instead of eating airport food. This is a roadside Crab Shack — emphasize the word shack. When my husband, daughter and I walked up, we were tired and hungry from a long car ride. It was sweltering hot and this is an indoor/outdoor shack — no air conditioning. We never got to try the food, because when I asked where the restroom the very rude young woman behind the counter informed me that there wasn’t a public restroom and suggested that I take my 5 year old to the bar across the street to go use their facilities — really — I think not.

The people picking crab behind the counter were eating, otherwise a 3.

Great find! Crab cakes are fresh with not much filler. Hush puppies were a great side but do wish I had tried the fries. Fried shrimp were yummy too.

I get carry out here frequently, and enjoy it usually. The Po Boy Shrimp Sandwich is awesome, and the picked crab(LUMP) makes the best Crab cakes. I was not fond of the Fish and Chips, the batter could be better. The people there are always nice and friendly offering good service. All in all, I like it.

Driving from Laurel to an appointment in Odenton, my husband and I passed this spot with a large sign boasting about this«crab sandwich.» Reviews seemed decent enjoy to try so we did. The sandwich was actually pretty, darn decent. You must eat it all while it’s hot because we didn’t BUT couldn’t bring ourselves to warm it up. I wasn’t expecting the American cheese. I would probably not get it in the future personally although it was good as a sub-type sandwich. The fries and onion rings were lackluster. The price was reasonable for the meal. We weren’t disappointed but we would not go out of our way to return. Yet it was worth a try. I hope you find this review helpful.

Awesome hole in the wall feel. Fast service and super polite staff. And the crabs are as advertised. The crab cheese steak is good, made with a ton of crab. I will definitely be going back.

I loved the food so much. Today was my first time trying it and I will definitely be back. I pass by it all the time but never stopped because I figured they just sold raw seafood but I was so wrong. I was craving seafood and didn’t want to drive to Timbuktu, Olive Grove or G&M so I chose to roll the dice and come here. I bought the cold crab dip for lunch tomorrow and the 29.99 platter(Can’t remember the name but it’s the Captain’s platter that comes with a crab cake). I tasted the crab dip which was good but I’m sure it would be better warm since there’s a lot of cream cheese in it. With my platter, I got the crab balls, fried clam straps, with the crab cake and my two sides were the fries and hush puppies. Everything was delicious but the clam strips were a little overcooked. The crabcakes/crab balls had very little filler and that was the winner for me and they tasted bomb. The tarter sauce was the best I ever had and the cocktail sauce was good but too thick. I did like that the cocktail sauce was cold too because I prefer it like that at home on piping hot food. Definitely come here if you want good seafood in the Laurel area. This place sh! ts on Cameron’s and definitely on Mid-Atlantic.

shrimp was burnt fries over cooked, burnt also. Payed close to 40 $ for my meal and wish I didn’t. Don’t understand how hard it is to fry things. Thank you but no thank you.

It was okay and expensive. We got the crab cake platter and 2 crab cheese steak. The hush puppies and onion rings were just okay, kinda bland. The crab cheese steak was not great but a lot of crab and definitely fills you up but the toppings on the sub were pretty lousy. I don’t think I will be going back but I gave it three stars because it was tolerable food which is hard to find around here.

WOW this was good. Small place. Four tables. Had the crab cakes, crab dip, hush puppies and steam shrimp. Really good. Fries had old bay and rock salt on them. Very tasty. It was all fantastic. It’s March so no outside tables. But summer time you guys should put some picnic tables outside. Good good good food

Not the best and not the worst. 3 out of 5 stars for middle of the road food. Tried this place twice. First visit, I had jumbo shrimp and a crab cheesesteak. Today my kids and I split a first mate platter which included 6 jumbo shrimp, fried clams, hush puppies and fries. Good portion sizes, salty fries, and lackluster seasoning, thus this place gets an ehhh it’s okay and nothing to write home about. Service was ok. That’s all I can say.

I had never heard of a crab cheesesteak prior to this, but I sure won’t soon forget it. What an interesting and tasteful sandwich these guys have thought up. The seafood is all fresh and the prices are very much reasonable. No frills here, just quality food.

I ordered a combination platter with a crab cake, salmon, and fried shrimp. The food was decent except for the shrimp. I threw them away because they had a weird chemical taste. Overall, I feel like the $ 30 platter was overpriced because of the shrimp. If I return, I would just stick with the lump crab cake. 3 Stars!

I’ve never been on that side of 198. Glad I randomly looked for a lunch spot one day. We love this place! Their fried shrimp is jumbo size! And the clam strips actually had clam meat! Go figure. We’ve been here twice so far and both times we got the two seafood combo. It’s plenty for us to. The last time we went there were so many people ordering crabs and other foods to go. We will have to try some crabs next time!

I’m only giving this place three stars(for right now) because I drove out there with a party of four to sit in and eat(after calling them to confirm that they did have areas to eat in), only to find that the tables numbered all of… two. And it was PACKED, too. So we ended up having to go elsewhere because there wasn’t any place for my guests to sit down. I guess that I should have clarified what I’d meant on the phone, but it’s not their fault. I can’t rate it higher for right now because we never got the chance to eat here. My husband and I are definitely keeping this place in mind for take-home crabs, though. The prices(89 for a ½ bushel of regular male) are right on the money, and we have a big party coming up soon… I will definitely consider driving out here. The crabmeat cheesesteak sounds fabulous, too. I’m actually sorry that we didn’t get to eat here!

Casey’s Crab Company is family owned and operated and are opened year round. The menu offers starters(crab dip, deviled eggs, fries, onion rings, etc.), crabcake sandwiches, crab palls, MD Blue Crabs, shrimp salad, soups, seafood platters, combinations, and catering options. I tried their Cold Crab Dip(this was definitely creamy and was filled with tons of crab meat, topped with Old Bay seasoning; it had a nice little kick to it; I just wished that it came with baguette slices or crackers, as this was just a tub of the dip); Deviled Eggs(came with 4; these were just okay, but forgettable); the famous ‘Crabmeat Cheesesteak’(this was a sub roll filled with crab meat, creamy cheese, fried onions, and lettuce/tomato if you want(I opted out of those); this was pretty okay and an interesting twist on a ‘cheesesteak’; I am not sure if I’d get this again, though); and, a 6-piece fried Jumbo Shrimp(these shrimp were definitely jumbo-sized, so that was pretty exciting to see; I just wished they would devein these, as they are fried as they are; this came with homemade tartar and cocktail sauce(don’t be shy to ask for extra cocktail sauce!)). I’d love to try out their fish and chips, the fried scallops/oysters/clam strips, the shrimp salad, and the soups the next time. Service was super friendly, and the staff wore tie-dyed shirts! The place itself had a couple of pub tables to dine-in and a table outside, but orders are mostly intended for carry-out. Just keep in mind that there is no AC/fans inside, so it does get extremely hot and humid during the summer months! +Cold Crab Dip(crackers/bread not included) +friendly staff: D +open all year round +lot for your car

Second time here and equally as delicious. They are not skimpy on the crabmeat. There is an abundance of crabmeat. Toppings to pick from– lettuce, tomato and I believe onion. Very yum. The old bay was perfect and the other seasonings and toppings did not run over the natural flavor of the lump crab. $ 12.00 so not a bad price.
