This store is great… All the people are friendly. Bathrooms are clean aways have cashers and if the form a line the call back up and work the lines down

Hobby Lobby is fabulous! 50% frames, 30% home décor, holiday sales all the time. This store is quite large and very bright. Great selection of craft materials, home décor, gifts, knick knacks and pretty stuff! My only complaint is it’s sometimes hard to find simple things like popsicle sticks or velcro– I typically roam up and down the aisles until I find what I’m looking for. All in all, my favorite store for all of my crafting needs!

Hobby Lobby has me hooked. I prefer Hobby Lobby over Michaels. (Don’t stone me!)
They always have coupons available and their sales are amazing. I come for the crafting supplies, but I stay for the home décor items.
The store is huge, and when you can find an employee he or she is usually super helpful. My biggest gripe is the line. It does not matter what time of day you go to this Hobby Lobby, about fifteen people will be in line for some reason or another. I don’t think I’ve ever gotten in and out of this store in less than fifteen minutes even if I was only grabbing one item.

Christmas selection seems improved and looked impressive this year. Again all slapped @ 40%. 50% closer to Christmas… same strategy… Price them high and slapped with a discount off sign.

Pretty cool artsy crafty store. Generous prices on most items and sales everywhere. They also had nice furniture but seemed somewhat pricey. Very cool place to find some unique items.

I have visited Hobby Lobby on several occasions. They have a wide variety of home décor and art supplies. But I have to agree that the customer service here is a hit or miss. I really would love to give 1 star but it would be a disservice to the one employee that was kind to me the last time I visited.

When I first discovered Hobby Lobby, I thought it was just like Michaels. Wrong… While they do have arts and crafts, they have so much more. I only scheduled 30 minutes to spend looking around the store, and that still was not enough for the first time. The staff is very friendly.
I found some wall art, all kinds of accent items, knick-​knacks galore, etc. The best thing that I found in this store is if you find something you like and its not on sale you can pull up their website on your smartphone and always find a 40 percent off coupon.

It is clean and nice and completely mis-​named. This place should be called knick-​Knack lobby. Far too much of the store is dedicated to premade odds and ends that fall too easily under the heading of home décor not hobby related.
The actual «hobby» part of the store is kind of thrown together as an after thought. The signage is not very good. Heck finding the bathroom took half an hour. There is a nice big sign that says «RESTROOMS» right over the door which places it far lower then the shelves that you would need to look through.
My son wanted origami supplies and had no problem finding some suitable paper but could not find any books or special paper. The prices are a little more high-​end when compared to other hobby shops.

Not happy with what the physical location has to offer versus online. There is not a lot to choose from in the beading section. The small bulk beads they offer are more expensive and less quantity. It’s a great place if you need framing materials which they have a lot of. The employees are very friendly.

Unfortunately, this one is not as good as other Hobby Lobby stores.
Not much inventory for premium water color products, or any painting/​drawing products for that matter. The ads are sometimes misleading, because if you compare their «sale» prices to other stores’ prices, they’re about the same.
But, the ultimate reason why they get only two stars is that their employees ALWAYS forget to charge you the sale price on items as advertised. And when you come back to get it corrected after seeing the receipt, they act as if it’s the biggest inconvenience for them. Not very good customer service/​business practice, I say.

This place is a winner. It was incredibly bright and clean, which I don’t always see in craft stores. It was well-​organized throughout — nothing hanging onto the floors or scattered around.
The staff were super friendly, too. I was in to get some fleece for a no-​sew blanket, and the sales associate in the fabric area knew what I was making and gave me helpful tips on it without me needing to ask.
I was shocked at how much they have for «home décor» items. I always assumed this was mostly arts & craft supplies, but you can get tables, chairs, art, etc. While I wouldn’t come here for those things, it might nice to grab some of those things and accessories without making an additional trip.
You can easily get lost for hours in here, but it’s worth the visit.

Hobby Lobby is the King of the craft stores.
I heard about Hobby Lobby from a super crafter I follow on Instagram and was relieved to find that there was a location not to far from me in Maryland. Upon walking in, I felt like I had died and arrived in crafters and decorators heaven.
Aisle upon aisle is filled with beautiful home décor, lamps, furniture, flowers, beads, charms, and so much more. This store has everything my little creative heart could ever desire. It is impossible to walk out with just what I came in for. Thankfully, they always have a 40% coupon off one non-​sale item available on the iPhone app. A lot of the jewelry I make now includes amazing beads from Hobby Lobby’s large selection (I highly recommend the Fairy Tale collection of charms).
The employees at this location are very sweet and can be very helpful when needed. The store is also kept very clean and organized. Perfect since I was doing heel clicks in the air as I was singing and dancing through the aisles. Yes, I love it that much, and that really happened.

I’ve died and gone to arts and crafts heaven!!! My coworker actually hipped me to this store and I’m oh soooo glad she did. This place is a Michael’s, A.C. Moore, Homegoods and Party City all in one!
My niece is having her Sweet 16 Birthday Party soon and I came in looking for some items for party favors and decorations. I ended up spending over an hour in this store just absorbing all of the cool ideas and fun items to purchase. In my travels I saw beautiful portraits, picture frames, party favors, any and every arts and crafts project you can imagine and of course seasonal items for Valentine’s Day and Easter. My creative juices were flowing the entire time I was here, just thinking of all the projects I could create. I thought the prices were very reasonable and I saw so many decorative items that I’ve never seen before. Since the theme of my niece’s party is hot pink and zebra print, I found the perfect items to create memorable party favors. (Note: I ran out of ribbon making the party favors and had to go to my local craft store and they didn’t have the correct print. I sure wish I had purchased more at Hobby Lobby, especially since no one else seems to carry it.)
My only wish is that the staff was more available and friendlier. I had questions about a few things, but I couldn’t find anyone to ask. Not to mention, for the longest time there was only 2 cashiers ringing up customers. It was a Saturday and tons of people were in the line waiting to checkout.
Unlike some of the other craft stores I’ve been in, this store wasn’t cluttered or disorganized. Everything was neatly placed on the shelves, easy access and no clutter throughout the aisles. I wish their was a store closer to my house because I would be here at least once a week. My new favorite store!!!
PS since the owners of the chain of Hobby Lobbies are Christians, the stores aren’t open on Sundays! This makes me love this store that much more!!!

I’ve stopped into Hobby Lobby a few times when I’m looking for something specific, such as a mat for a picture frame, a lamp (they have a bunch, surprisingly), or a wreath for the front door (nice selection – they are about $ 100 but you can always use the weekly $ 40% coupon).
The store is usually very empty, and although there are generally two cashiers, check-​out always seems to take a long time. The staff is generally friendly, although some of the younger staff can be a bit unprofessional, e.g., talking to each other about their social lives while one of them is waiting on a customer.
I am reviewing the Laurel store location based on the rude comments and unprofessional behavior exhibited by the manager (male, of Indian descent) today.
Recently, I bought curtains at Hobby Lobby for about $ 65, took them home, found that the colors didn’t work with our wall color, immediately folded them exactly how they had been folded, put them back in the packaging, and took them back to the store 16 days later. Hobby Lobby has a 90-​day return policy with receipt, so I was well within the return period.
It’s important to note here that, like many curtains and linens, these were in a plastic pouch with a resealable side. When I folded the curtains, they didn’t go back into the pouches quite as easily, but fit completely. However, the plastic flap wouldn’t stick to the side of the pouch because the curtains weren’t as flat as they had previously been. So they were in the pouches, folded nicely with the cardboard wrapped around them, but the sticky flap was open.
When I returned the curtains, the young female cashier who rang me up was very nice. She asked if anything was wrong with them, as most stores do, and I told her no, and that I liked them, but the colors didn’t work with my décor. We exchanged brief small talk about the curtains being pretty. She finished the transaction and told me how much would be refunded to my credit card, etc. Then she apologized and said that a manager needed to approve the transaction, and there would be a brief wait. She was very polite throughout the conversation, and apologetic about the wait.
After paging a manager on the overhead speaker THREE times and clearly being embarrassed about the several-​minute wait, a man of Indian descent slowly approached from the side of the store. The cashier waved to him, clearly wanting to help me out and get me out of there faster.
The manager approached, looking irritated, mumbled something to her, and typed a few things on the register. He pointed to the two curtain panels and said, «It’s for those?» and she nodded. He then looked at me, irritated, and said, «Is there anything wrong with them?» I said «No, I put them on the rod and didn’t like them, so I brought them back.» He picked them up and looked at me accusingly, saying, «They’re open.» I said, «Yes – as I just said, I put them on the rod and didn’t like them. I just bought them two weeks ago.» He stared at me and then looked at the receipt, as if he didn’t believe me that I just bought them, saying, «Well, they’re open now.» Then… I couldn’t believe it… he passive aggressively scoffed to the cashier, «Well, I guess we just have to tape the packaging closed, as if anyone will buy them like this.» The curtains were nicely folded in their original packaging with ALL parts included. All they had to do was take a piece of tape to reseal the top flap to the side. They looked NO different than the brand new ones, I’m sure. The manager then whispered something to the employee, as she finished the transaction, handed me my receipt, thanked me for my patience, and wished me a nice day. I started at the manager for some sort of reaction or (gasp) apology, and he would not make eye contact with me.
I cannot believe the unprofessional, accusatory, rude behavior of the manager. The young employee looked embarrassed by his behavior. I will not be returning to Hobby Lobby.

such a huge selection of arts and crafts supplies! It was a little overwhelming going in looking for fabrics for an at home craft project i was working on. Sometimes its hard for me to get the inspiration i need so i searched for a sales associate for assistance. After finally finding one she wasnt really helpful, and was kind of dismissive because i didnt have the exact measurements of the project i had in mind. The other associate she was talking to was slightly more helpful, but it seemed they were both annoyed that i inturupted their conversation. The only reason i will return is because the prices are decent and they have everything i need, i will just avoid talking to the people that work there.

Hobby Lobby is so awesome. One of my friends told me about this store and I’ve been going once a month ever since. I have purchased wall scones, fabric, wall art, and more. I would recommend anyone that loves decorating to go to Hobby Lobby.

This place is wonderful! They have everything I need for all my craft projects, PLUS some fun «home goods» items.

I learned about Hobby Lobby when I lived in Arkansas. At that time, I was bummed that there wasn’t a Michaels or an AC Moore in the area. However, now I realize that Hobby Lobby is way better than either of those 2 stores! So I was super excited when I realized that they were opening one in MD. I ended up visiting all 3 craft stores in MD because I was getting ready for an upcoming wedding banquet.
The verdict: Hobby Lobby is definitely a lot bigger and has more item selections. The prices are also much lower. The only thing that stood out to me was the store doesn’t have scanning cash registers. My cashier was so slow because she had to type the code or prices of each item that I was purchasing. She even asked me where I found something because she wasn’t sure if there was a promotion on the item. I can ignore the slowness on an off-​peak hour, but I would hate to be in a long line waiting for the cashier to figure out the price of Christmas candles or a paper cutter.
