Minnicks, Inc. is a «3rd generation» family owned and operated business which started in 1954 by William Minnick. His son, Larry Minnick and his 3 sons Rob, Rusty & Randy own and operate the company today. With over 50 years of experience, we have provided exceptional service to a wide variety of clients. Our goal is to maintain a long lasting relationship with our clients based on exceptional designs and cost effective solutions to meet our clients’ needs. Basically it was fine, on schedule and as promised. The guy is very knowledgeable and convincing. The only problem I had — they switched my heating off, did not warn me about it, and did not explain how to get it back on. I made a sudden discovery few hours later that the house was cold and had few unpleasant minutes.

They were on time, provided useful information, gave me the discounts for being a VIP member. As always a thorough and helpful inspection and «tuneup» for our furnace. Tom is very good to work with, and doesn’t pressure us to do stuff that’s not really needed, but gives advice about when something might become necessary, so we can plan ahead.

This is my first time working with Minnick’s they were great. I am a bit nosy when I have people work at the house. Mike was awesome, he answered my questions and explained things so we could understand. Have used Minnick’s twice in a few weeks to fix issues with my air conditioner. The ladies on the phone have been very nice and accomodating. Sam has been the technician both times. He explained the issues each time and gave me solutions to choose. Sam talks so a non-​technician can understand and is courteous, patient and honest.

Was using them to take advantage of a Pepco maintenance rebate. Instead I was told my four year old unit was only running at 50% efficiency and proceeded to upsell a variety of other products and services… none of which actually addressed the issue. When I pressed for more details about my apparently failing unit, I was put off and never received a response. A second call to a different contractor revealed my unit was running perfectly.

I had no reservations about letting them go throughout our house to do their work. Sami Tawash has been my HVAC tech for 4 years and has done a consistently excellent job. He explains what he is doing and points out possible ways to improve our system, without pushing. I trust his work and judgment.

Sam the technician came for about 5 hours. The results were bad, I will probably have to replace my two air conditioning units, but he gave me all sorts of options from a quick, cheap short term fix, to a better fix but with my system getting old he also gave me replacement costs. He covered everything with me very thoroughly after he had done a great deal of testing and measurements. I felt he was honest and trying to be helpful.

Randy Minnick provided poor advise, service, installation and abysmal follow up. He unfortunately was recommended by our builder and installed all of our HVAC. We continue to fill in behind him.

Sami was great, this summer he came out at 7pm when it was 90 degrees and sensible fixed our heat pump. He came out this morning and quickly figured out a dripping noise in the humidifier without any trouble or cost.
