Anything I’ve tried is great and take out is super. BBQ and sides are very good, iced tea great, all the meats, brisket, chicken, sausage are well prepared. Only draw back is mine, if on street parking is not available, I cannot get there with enough strength to eat. Then I have to take my watering mouth elsewhere and wish I was at R, H, and Blue

Didn’t really care for the BBQ the onion stack was really dry didn’t care for it. The people were very friendly

They had friendly carry out service starting from their attentiveness taking the order, adjusting the pick up time due to traffic, and timely pickup readiness of warm meals. We ordered two slabs of ribs along with brisket and salmon for our Easter Sunday. The only problem was one of the ribs were hard and dry like jerky. All else yummy.

Red hot and blue is always a good option for beer and bbq and really good chicken wings :) very flavorful! Friendly service.

I had a Bahama Mama and felt the effects of the rum. I enjoyed the pulled chicken and hubby enjoyed his half chicken. This is definitely a do over. My only down side was after we finished our meal we were sort of forgotten.

Always a great meal: fast, hot, cheerfully served and very tasty! I know they have many good items on the menu but I always get the pulled pork. We come here so often the waitstaff all know us. Love it here.

Red Hot & Blue was one of the first successful barbecue places in the area, and this location is located at one end of Laurel’s Main Street. The prices are reasonable, and the Memphis style ribs are great. Barbecue fans will probably say you can find better elsewhere, and they are not wrong, but these are perfectly serviceable and my wife and I did enjoy splitting a full rack every week once upon a time.
Our table ordered an Onion Loaf, which is a nice novelty but I find the rings stringy and greasy more than anything else. We also split some Fried Okra, which I did not realize was going to be deep fried instead of a traditional pan fry. They were tasty little poppers, though.
This time I ordered the Delta Catfish sandwich, which is always a treat. It has a light crispy breaded coating, and the fish is always tender and flaky without falling apart. My wife ordered the brisket sandwich, which I found a little dry but paired excellently with the tasty sauces they had on the table. Most orders come with potato salad, but that can be substituted for any of their other sides. I usually opt for the baked beans since they no longer offer their excellent corn relish.
RHB is a dependable place, and however you regard their food you can always enjoy the Blues music playing in the background while sipping one of their house ambers.

I definitely loved their fries! but aside from that I can not say I enjoyed their dishes. We had fried catfish which was not bad, not overcooked, but it lacked flavor, like that fish flavor and the breading lacked flavor too. That was also the issue for their bbq meats! We also had their 3-​options meat combo, tried their brisket, ribs, and pulled pork. All of them seem to lack flavor, and i don’t mean like bbq flavor, I mean the real meat flavor. Weird huh. makes me a little apprehensive about the quality of the food. my partner and I definitely both felt the same, overall, meal was cooked fine, just lacked flavor.
Despite the meh-​ness of the food (which I’d probably give 2.5 stars for) I have to say, service was GREAT! I don’t remember our waiter’s name, but he definitely was attentive without hovering and even ran after us into the parking lot to give us our leftovers we had forgotten! Such a nice waiter =)

An old favorite of ours, Red, Hot And Blue still delivers the best Barbeque food in the Laurel area.
I love the catfish, my Margarita loves the wet ribs and the smoked chicken.
I recommend their Brunswick Stew or their homemade Gumbo. I was so hungry, that I was unable to control myself so I ate before I did this review, but next time I’ll provide pics of the actual food.

Great service, good portion of food, had leftovers, recommend better than famous daves! Floor needed to be swept and the fly that kept bothering us was annoying other than that family was satisfied.

I’ve always loved this place. Sure, it’s part of a chain, but this one has always been good food and excellent service. Doesn’t matter whether it was living there in the 90’s to a recent visit in the 10’s… RH&B in Laurel has never done me wrong.
For those that have never been, RH&B is your typical BBQ place. They have it all, from pulled pork and chicken to tasty ribs and moist brisket. Sides galore abound, including my favorite hush puppies. This is not the place for vegetarians… this is for meat lovers!
Pricing here is fair for BBQ, not break-​your-​wallet but not cheap. Service has always been good, even when it was a late night group of six of us showing up. A little crowded in some places (they really pack the tables in), but not uncomfortable. One note is parking: Your best bet is to park ~behind~ the building and walk up a one-​story flight of wide steps… parking on Main Street can be a pain.
If you’re looking for BBQ and you’re sick of the same old Famous Dave’s or Mission BBQ, you can’t go wrong here!

I really enjoy the food here and when I dine in, the service is extremely attentive. good variety of food and bbq sauces. never have had anything I didn’t like.

In the past, the business I work for has used this location for catering. They are VERY good with that. Make this your first choice if you are considering a take-​away catering deal. They will also deliver if you need that.
This past week I was in the area and it fit the bill: We were hungry, it was there. Tip: Plenty of parking in the back of the row of businesses. Walk up the steps to the far right of the building.
We were seated immediately at 1 PM on a Friday and our waitress was apparently a pro. Beverages brought out before we made our menu selections (and later, a glass of ice to refresh our teas.) Take the offered house-​made spicy mustard, you will not regret it. The best restaurant potato salad EVER, even though I could not finish it off due to all the other food on my plate.

For over 23 years this has been our go-​to barbecue place. The unfortunate thing is that it’s not located in the ‘restaurant center’ of town instead is it is on historic old Main Street which is a great location with a great interior but it’s slightly off beaten path. It’s worth seeking out;
Best Ice Tea
Best blue cheese
Best pulled pork
Best mild sauce
And one of the better values for lunch.

Great atmosphere and great food. The price is good and the food was delicious. I will definitely be coming back here.

They have the BEST smoked chicken nachos ever! Friendly staff and always on top of things. No waiting here.

This is a good BBQ place. There was a great waitress who always remembered my order. I’ve eaten here dozens of times and ordered takeout dozens more, always with no issues.
Unfortunately things turned ugly on my latest visit. I got a water from the bartender and there was a red substance on the straw. I thought it was cherry juice from the maraschino cherries that maybe she put in someone’s drink, so I just wiped it off. Well she handed me napkins and for sure it was blood on the napkins and probably on my straw, too. I drank half the water before I realized this.
Immediately after this happened I watched a cockroach crawl across Elvis Presley’s face (a photo of him on the wall behind the bar). I will not return after this. I loved this place! This was the only bad experience I’ve had there. I’ve had many great experiences at RH&B, but I just can’t stomach going back.
I would say try it out for yourself, but don’t go to the bar.

I can’t recommend this place at all. «Memphis pit BBQ» implies BBQ — and smoked meat. There was no sign of smoke anywhere on our 5-​meat sampler plate. The beef brisket was so tasteless and texture less I think it may have been boiled. Pulled pork and chicken were slightly better — but I’ve had more flavorful chicken from costco’s rotisserie.
Positives: Alex, our server, was great; good sides — the hush puppies were really great… and a huge draft microbrew for just $ 7.
Maybe I’ll come back — and just order beer and hush puppies…

I frequent the other Red, Hot & Blues in the area and I’ve never had a bad experience. This visit to the Laurel Red, Hot & Blue wasn’t the best.
The waitress got our order wrong. After fixing the problem the first set of wings had rubbery skin and were not hot. The second wing attempt was better but were not knock my socks off, wings. The wife’s burger order had to go back as the hamburger was medium-​rare vice the well-​done she asked for.
I’ll never write off a Red, Hot & Blue but maybe I should stick to the other establishments.
