This a review based off customer service. The doctor was so friendly and welcoming. She listened to what I had to say and made me feel so comfortable in a place that I have never been to for what can be such a sensitive subject. She gave me a plan that was specific to my needs and I am so excited to start tomorrow. Pieces are really great as well. I am so excited.

I went to Lunaris originally to start a weight loss program.Dr. Lolachi started me on dietary pills along with suggestions for my eating habits. The pills turned out to be too strong and I stopped after one month. I also went here for a consultation on an IPL facial. My first visit was very good she gave me prices on an IPL and the weight loss program. I was so excited I told my co-​workers all about Dr. Lolachi’s office. I made my second visit but cancelled with her receipt. I re-​scheduled and was ready for my IPL. When Dr. Lolachi and I were walking to the procedure room I verified the price she had originally quoted me of $ 150.00 she said no dear it’s going to be $ 325.00. Not to mention I had my co-​worker start a weight loss program with her and she charged her $ 1000.00+ for her treatment. This place is a joke. I receieved a $ 100.00 referral fee so I asked if itcould be applied towards any treatment and she said «oh well you never called to cancel your appointmnet so you only have $ 75.00 left. «

I got services done here a few years ago and I think the information given was inconsistent and deceiving. Basically the information I received before I paid for the package was completely different from the information I got midway through the treatment when I questioned the effectiveness of the treatment. As for what the information that was given to me… I was told that the hair in the area I was getting treated would be removed but about three treatments in when I asked why I wasn’t seeing a difference in a certain area, the doctor told me it was because that couldn’t be treated. It’s a long tmi story. But long story short I’m not a happy customer.

I went back to Dr. Lolachi for Botox and I am very happy with the results. The fact that a medical doctor is performing the injections is important to me. As a medical doctor, her prices are reasonable. I will go back to her again!

So, as promised here’s the update on the weight situation. It’s been a month! I must confess it hasn’t been toooooo easy, especially that first week was tough!, but boy has it been a success :)))). to date, I’ve lost 15 pounds and one and half size. Yeaaaah! Just a few more weeks to go. Everyone’s been so supportive at lunaris and I really enjoy my visits. It’s a great motivater everytime I step on that scale and see the weight coming off. Going to the pool is a lot more fun these days ;)

I had micro-​dermabrasion treatments here as well as 4 laser hair sessions on my face. While the micro-​dermabrasion treatments left my skin feeling raw and glowing, I saw no long-​term improvement in my skin. The laser hair treatments seemed to be working, but I could only afford the 4 treatment package, which they insist does not permanently kill the hair follicles. They seemed to be more concerned with selling package deals and their products that don’t improve your skin, rather than on the overall results of their services.

Went in for a consult today to redeem my Unilocal voucher. The receptionist and doctor were nice, but there were these pharmaceutical reps there trying to sell their stuff while I was in the small (but charming!) waiting room. It felt a little intrusive when I was filling out medical-​type forms. That’s the only reason I’m not giving 5 stars. The doctor was super-​professional while explaining the whole process. There is a $ 12 fee for a tip for the laser, but hey, I’d way rather pay $ 12 than use someone else’s– I mean, think about it– ew. So I didn’t mind forking over the cash. I went in to get my underarms done, which I thought would be the «two small areas» that the voucher covered. To my delight, she informed me that they count as one and I was able to get yet another area done! Awesome surprise, I thought $ 150 for three underarm sessions was a good deal already. Also great was that she gave me the option of having the first session done immediately. I didn’t because I tweeze a lot so I have to let my second area grow back– if the hair isn’t there, the laser can’t zap it, obviously. Also, I had only purchased one voucher for three sessions and the doctor said she gives Unilocalers an opportunity to buy a second to complete the recommended six sessions, so that’s pretty cool. FYI, they only do it three days a week– tuesday, Saturday, and some other day– I stopped paying attention when they said Tuesday since that’s my day off. Anyway, I recommend it. But don’t forget to stop tweezing and tanning three weeks in advance!

Talk about excellent customer service! I wasn’t expecting anything from my review but Dr. Lolachi had called me personally to apologize for my small gripes. A++ for the personal attention. Wish her office was closer and I would definitely give her more of my money!

Naturally laser hair removal this isn’t a fun process, but Dr. Lolachi is wonderful, explaining the process, expected results, and is very open to questions and to taking your phone calls.
The one downfall is that procedures are pretty pricey outside of the Unilocal deal, but that is to be expected with any reputable Medspa.

I just finished my series of laser hair removal treatments for my bikini area with Dr. Lolachi. She is very friendly, knowledgeable, and surprisingly calming when she is zapping your sensitive parts with a painful laser.
Unfortunately, I can’t give it five stars because of the service I have had at the front desk. Last time I visited for an 11:00AM appointment, the receptionist put someone with an 11:15 appointment ahead of me. Although he was already there at 10:50 when I arrived, it was annoying to have him be taken first (and have to wait for him to be done). There was another time that I checked in, took a seat in the waiting area, and the receptionist said out loud from behind her desk (and in front of the other two people waiting beside me),
«BETHANY, ARE YOU HERE FOR A REGULAR BIKINI TREATMENT OR BRAZILIAN?»
I walked up to her desk and answered her question. Didn’t I sign a privacy agreement when I started coming here? I assume that includes keeping my treatments confidential? I asked her if she had any more questions, to please call me up to her desk. It’s not like I was embarrassed (I AM writing this on Unilocal,after all) but it still irked me.
Dr. Lolachi has a lot of online deals going on –including one here on Unilocal– so you are basically guaranteed to get a great deal on your laser treatments. She is also open on Saturdays, which is convenient if you have a «normal» Mon-​Fri work schedule.
It’s also nice that she performs all the laser treatments herself… Makes you feel a little better about baring it all in front of a Dr., you know? ;-)

I love Lunaris and Dr. Lolachi. I initially came into contact with her through Tippr and had actually bought deals with another medspa so I could compare for further services. Dr. Lolachi was always very forthright with what I could expect and results, even advising against procedures which wouldn’t yield results and be a waste of my money. I love the fact that the actual Dr. herself is the one who does all her treatments, as opposed to nurses or ‘technicians’. I have gotten great results and am vey pleased with my experience. They usually have great seasonal deals on packages too!

Lunaris Medspa set the bar high for me. I recently moved to Nor Cal and haven’t found another place that I can go get laser services. I went to Dr. Lolachi starting in February from a deal I got from Tippr. It is probably the best deal I’ve ever purchased (and that says a lot b/​c I waste so much money with these deal sites). I got the $ 150 for 3 treatments on 2 areas and opted for the armpits and bikini areas (such a steal!).
My first laser session was sooo painful (I bought the numbing cream from them too, w/​o it I think I wouldn’t have been able to finish my treatment). Thank goodness it didn’t last very long (was only a few minutes of zapping), but it still was definitely excruciating painful for me. However after a few days after my initial session, I knew I was hooked and decided the few minutes of pain was so worth it. I saw results right away and couldn’t wait for my next session. My second session wasn’t as painful, and of course, my 3^rd session was even less.
I haven’t been back after that since I moved away… but I would love to go back to Dr. Lolachi whenever I get back into town. Her and her staff are all really nice, sweet, friendly and professional. Thanks ladies!

This place is great! Just had my first session of laser hair removal and the doctor was fast and professional. Everyone is super friendly and I’ve already seen great results! I would highly recommend lunaris for laser hair removal!

Had my first visit today — the office staff was very friendly and professional. They go through a consult with you and a patch test. The laser is uncomfortable but not painful and the Dr. was very informative, fast, and friendly. Both underarms took less than 10 minutes. I could already see a nice result from my first visit but i know it takes about 6 sessions. I purchased on a Groupon so I get 2 areas 6 sessions each for $ 300 — huge bargain! I’m nervous for the Brazilian bikini this week but happy that they offered the Groupon so I could afford this luxury!

I have been so happy with with my treatments! Dr. Lolachi is so great and I love that she does the treatments herself and does not have an assistant doing them. She makes you feel comfortable and is really sweet. The underarms are so easy without any pain now. just the burning hair smell which I can handle easily. The Brazilian bikini is still a little tough to get through — I don’t think I could get through without the numbing cream but the Dr. is so quick its over before I know it. My appointments for both areas are no more than 20 min. The hair in both areas is significantly less. I rarely have to shave under my arms and the bikini area is just little light patches.

Dr. Lolachi is the best! I go to Lunaris for laser hair removal — bikini and lip. I was really nervous about doing my bikini area but she has a professional, calm manner that puts you at ease.
I did have to buy numbing cream which was an unexpected expense (I purchased a Groupon) but considering what a good deal I got and the level of service, it wasn’t a big deal. Plus, the laser hurts enough with the numbing cream that I can’t imagine doing without.
People say the laser feels like rubber bands snapping. for me, it feels more like tiny needles stabbing. I can take it but it’s not fun.
I appreciate that a real doctor does my treatments here.
I’m not that hairy but just after two treatments, I’ve already seen great results. I had my third yesterday and after six, I should be good.
I want to try some other services — facials, etc, but that will be in the future when I have more money!
Oh, and the front desk is nice. That’s always important. Even if the doctor is great, if the front desk is bitchy, it makes for an unpleasant experience. For Lunaris, everyone has always been polite and friendly.

I bought the ridiculously good deal for this place (marketed via DermaBare) on Groupon, before seeing that there weren’t any Unilocal reviews at that point. The
site on laser hair removal (I know, I know) said that places that offer discounts aren’t legit, so I got nervous for a while, but then checked the BBB and saw that this place has an A rating, so I stopped worrying. (Plus, the physician who runs it is board-​certified.) Still, I would certainly have appreciated knowing in advance that this place actually existed, was run by a professional, and was otherwise legitimate. I guess I trusted Groupon to do the vetting for me… Anyway, I took a chance, bought two Groupons, and have now had my first session.
Lunaris Medspa is in a building with other offices, and we have so far had no problem finding a spot in the lot behind the building. You go up to the second floor, following signs for Lunaris Med Spa. When you enter the office, you’re greeted with gentle spa music, in an environment that is generally quite lovely. The receptionist is very sweet, and answered all of my questions without making me feel like a fool for having them. (For example, despite what I’ve read about the practice at some other places, you do NOT tip for laser treatments here. It would feel odd to tip a doctor anyway, but it was nice to have that clarified.)
At your initial consultation, the physician does a spot test on your leg (so don’t worry about whether or not you’re hairy in any other regions). Although we were told the spot test was to show us how the laser felt, I think the more important reason was to ensure that we didn’t have skin sensitivity that would preclude laser treatment. I say that because the patch test really gives you no sense of what it feels like (people often say it’s «like a rubber band snapping on your skin». You can handle one rubber band snap and be annoyed; lots of them are really freaking painful).
The laser adviser, whom you also meet at your initial consultation (and whom I found generally disappointing), tells you to shave either the night before or the morning of your session. I did it the night before, and was glad, since I nicked myself in several places, and would have been nervous about bleeding on the same day. If you’re getting your bikini line done, you’re required to buy and use the topical anesthetic, which runs at $ 76 for 1 oz. (It would have been nice to have known about that in advance! And it would have been nice if the laser adviser had come right out and said it, rather than dancing around it awkwardly.) The claim is that the tube lasts for 10 sessions of bikini line, but if you’re putting that little on, it may not be effective, as my friend found out. (Make sure you squeeze the bottle some first, in case it’s settled – it should be white, not clear – and apply a substantial layer, and don’t rub it in. Again, my friend wasn’t given clear instructions on this, and she was in a lot of pain. Another two women who were at the office had had their first session four weeks before, and one of them had had the same experience. Apply liberally!)
After coughing up the cash for the lidocaine, we made our appointments, and returned a week later for our first sessions. I had no idea what to expect in terms of pain. Another laser center had said that the kind of laser used here was virtually painless, so I was going with that, thinking the lidocaine cream probably wasn’t even necessary. Ah, how naïve I was!
Anyway, I was getting my armpits and bikini line done, so I took my top and underwear off (bra on, and if I’d worn something sleeveless it probably could have stayed on), and covered my lap with a towel. The temperature in the room made the mostly-​nude status bearable, and I’d say it’s easier for me to feel comfortable with a physician than with an aesthetician, so there was no sense of being overexposed. But that is where the comfort ended. The laser is NOT painless. (Apparently it’s individual-​specific, so I’m jealous of whoever feels only «mild discomfort».) There was no screaming or crying, but my jaw and fists were clenched the whole time. The pain is mercifully brief, though, and both areas were done within 15 minutes (and the lidocaine on the bikini line made a major difference; it hurt less than the armpits). I think the experience is probably like labor: it hurts, but when it’s over and you’ve seen the results, you forget about the pain and want to do it again. Or so they say for labor. And so I hope for this, since I have 5 sessions to go. I’ll update on the results when I’m done.

I just went here for the Spa Week promotion and got a single laser hair treatment. I read a review by someone at the Dermabare page, which is what the laser hair business is called within the same office. It seems they’ve upgraded to a more better laser machine. It was quick and just hot pinches. Keep in mind, I took ibuprofen beforehand (I’ve heard it quells the pain) and also applied LMX — a topical anesthetic cream you can buy at the pharmacy. It’s sold behind the counter at the pharmacy, no prescription needed but you have to ask for it there, it’s not just put on the shelves.
It did seem, over the phone they tried a hard sell to have me buy the anesthetic cream they sold, twice.

All of the nowhere in November I stared to break out with acne. And one of my doctors referred me to Dr. Lolachi. Dr. Lolachi is the best. She helped me with my acne. And now I have no acne. She introduced me to OBAGI products, these products are the best, they changed my life. I really recommend Lunaris Spa. Dr. Lolachi also introduced me to Jane Iredale Mineral Cosmetics. This is the best make up, the make up really makes a difference. I do tell you that you will be spending $$$, but its all worth it. Below I have listed what I use and what I got done.
