Buying things is fine, they are willing to take credit card digits instantly. Service is awful. Asked for assistance five or six times from «account manager». He only responded once I threatened to go to another place. Actually, by the time he had responded, I bought my stuff elsewhere…

Ordered an item that arrived damaged which was frustrating but was VERY impressed with the customer service person once we got on the phone with them (website initially said we would have to pay $ 60 to return it which we were NOT PLEASED ABOUT but then learned that wasn’t the case when we spoke to someone). They gave us a full refund immediately.

It was a huge mistake to order a dinning table from Modern furniture warehouse website. I placed the order the beginning of January, the credit card was charged right away and I received confirmation that table is in stock and will be delivered on the requested date. The requested date was beginning of February. One week before the estimated delivery date, I tried to follow-​up with the website to find out the status of my order. I could not get hold of their phone or chat customer service. After more then few attempts, I called to the store listed on their website just to find out that the table is not available anymore. Thanks to the store salesman who nicely helped me out to figure out the situation. The bottom line, the warehouse customer services are HORRIBLE. I wasted the entire month (could order table from another website), they did not bother neither notify me or refund the money until I started doing investigation on my own. Only after that, the refunded my money. Stay FAR AWAY from this website if you do not to go through the same hassle as I did!

I went into the store on the 1st of the month to order a TV stand I saw online. I was told it was not there and needed to be ordered. Because I had my mind on this specific style I agreed to it being ordered and shipped. I told the sales person it needed to be received by the 7th and I was reassured I would have it by then; I was going to be out of town for a week.
On the 7th I received an email advising me of my order shipment, this was the day I needed it to be received by. With further checking I was told it would not be delivered until the 12th; that’s 5 days after what I was promised.
I did finally get the stand, about 3 weeks later than what I was promised. I don’t know how they stay in business with such bad customer service. There are a lot of bad reviews for this place, believe what people have written. I must say I am happy with the TV stand, that’s why they get 1 star, but if I could have found it with another company I would not have dealt with Modern Furniture Store!

First order with them was half a nightmare (delivery was 1 month late, we thought we would never get it) but the couch that finally arrived was so awesome that all was forgotten and forgiven. So, we ordered from them again– which is when the nightmare started. A few weeks later, I get a notice that a request has been made for shipping of the packages by DHL– to California! I live in the Mid-​west. So I call and of course, CS tells me the department I need doesn’t work on the weekend so please call on a weekday. A few days later I get an email that my order is complete and I will be refunded $ 80 LESS than what I paid. So I email and get told «Please review the return policy at the following link;
. Please note customer is responsible of the round trip shipping cost of the item. In this case the round trip shipping cost was $ 80 which was deducted from you refund.» So I email back and call to tell them I never asked for them to cancel, and I never asked to return. Of course, the manager is not there when I call and I never get an email response, until I call back FOUR days later, and get told, «Oh, we emailed you today to resolve the issue.» No email, of course. But finally I get an email that says I have been refunded.

Similar BAD experience as other customers: I order a recliner online. Credit card was charged shortly after. Beyond initial confirmation email of purchase, never received a follow-​up email regarding shipping, or delay. Three weeks later, I contacted the company for update and cancellation. They gave me the run-​around and I played along for 2 – 3 days. Still only excuse, not willing to refund unless they get confirmation from manufacturer that item has not yet shipped. Claim that they are unable to refund. We agreed on an final day ultimatum, and then I contact me credit card company. In any case, DO NOT ORDER or do any type of business with disorganized middle-​man.

So i was looking for a modern bed I did the instant chat request online and they would not even confirm if they had something in stock or not. I called and its was the same result on the phone i was put on hold forever. Then I started reading the Unilocal reviews for them and it all made sense. If they treat you like this when your a perspective client what would they treat you like when they have your money already.
Too bad I can tell they spend alot of money on advertising and they have unique furniture.

Ordering from these people has been nothing short of a nightmare. The couch we ordered came in damaged (which was not their fault). We have done everything humanly possibly to resolve this issue but get the run around every time. They keep no notes on these issues and we have to start from square one every time we call. There are at least two automated systems for dealing with a problem and one of the employees told us they don’t even check one of them. This place is an absolute joke!

Disappointment to the MAX, PERIOD.
Sofa that we have ordered for weeks didn’t even get shipped due to damages made in the very last process of the shipment. All they had told us on the day that it was supposed to be delivered was to just wait for three more months for the new one.
They kept recommending us to switch to the bonded leather sofa which we really want to avoid looking at.
The representatives would keep misinforming us about the item such as them having it ready in stock or to have it displayed or that they will ship it on certain day.
I will never ever choose to order something from this place never again.

From the ordering process through the delivery process, I had a strong experience with Modern Furniture. Luis was very helpful with placing my order and set realistic expectations on manufacturing and delivery timeframes (I ordered a custom sectional). Frank was also very helpful when delivering my items and went above and beyond what I asked for (helping me move another existing sofa to another room in the home), despite the fact that he was working by himself! I would recommend this company to others searching for reasonably priced furniture with a modern appeal.

i would give none of the stars if i could! item never left the warehouse, promised refund, never got it! no one answer email, put me on hold on the phone and promise me time to time to get that within 5minutes, then i said i have heard that before they either hung up on me or they say they cant hear me.!! im ripped off 500.00!

I ordered a coffee table through the DA Stores/​Modern Furniture Warehouse website one and a half months ago. First off, it took them a month to ship the table to me. Once I received the table I noticed that they sent me the wrong model. After looking into the issue further I detected that their website was advertising the wrong model numbers. Before I was able to send the unit back, DA Stores insisted that I take digital pictures and email them to their customer service department proving that they sent me the wrong unit. Only then and after my following up with the company did they dispatch a carrier to collect the unit. Now two more weeks have passed and DA Stores still is unable to confirm that the correct item has shipped. I have had to repeatedly contact their customer service group requesting updates regarding this issue. Unfortunately I am still unable to receive a response from this vendor in a timely manner. Needless to say, I am very disappointed with DA Stores/​Modern Furniture Warehouse and this entire transaction.

This is only a display showroom for furniture they acquire from god-​knows-​where, but it takes weeks. Totally unresponsive customer service department that doesn’t return phone calls or email, and arbitrarily declares unresolved issues as «resolved.» No discussion of delivery dates is permitted. It’s Modern Furniture Warehouse’s way or the highway. Mean, arbitrary thugs who don’t give a damn.

If you like to spend your hard earned money and not get what you ordered — This is the place for you. I ordered a WHITE couch in april supposedly it was a «special order. Rec’d it 3 months later. It was all packaged up, and I waited for my husband to get home to take it in the house. He said, nice off white, yellowy couch you ordered. Immediately called, emailed, oh, we’ll give u 400.00 off and some pillows. They went round and around it was white, I took pictures of it and the color swatches off the internet (I get the variance of color thing I am not new) — It exactly matched the off white color and no where close to the white color. The crappy pillows they sent with it were actually white and did not match the couch at all. I paid 2000.00– I cannot use an off white couch, in a home that is white. Hence, buying from «modern furniture» warehouse. It is now October, the couch has been all wrapped up in my garage, never even sat in it, and I am still waiting and waiting and waiting. They agreed to take it back and charge me one way, then they said no I have to pay 800.00 to send the couch to them. Now, I can’t even get a response. I did my homework, due diligence prior to purchasing it, no big deal things on the internet, but since about May of this year– have found so many not fun things. So bottom line, you do not get what you ordered — they will not give you your money back, and the customer is left holding the proverbial bag. So just a heed. Couch was sent back end of October– I paid for it to be shipped back– they signed for it– and … STILL NOTHING NADA so now out 2400.00 thanks Davron Rashidov– «owner» will not email will not call back they SUCK SUCK SUCK SUCK SUCK and karma is a u know what !!!
