My Mom used to take me to this store when I was little girl. Well, I’m 47 now and still skating. I went to see them because I just needed new boots for my existing skates. Rick totally hooked me up with new boots and hardware and gave me an awesome deal! I was able to keep my existing wheels but you can be sure I will be back soon to get new one’s as well! Awesome customer service! Glad to be back!

Heard about this shop from a friend. Went to check them out and left with a pair of skates for myself and my wife. Great selection and they also do customs skates too. Just bring the shoes you want turned into skates. Very friendly staff and great deals. Will definitely go back for any of my skating needs. Now just have to remember how to roller skate LOL.

My hockey boots came unglued. I brought them to two different shoe repair places and neither could fix them I brought them into RS Customs and they repaired them, no problem. They even tacked them so they were better than before. They had them fixed the next day. Awesome place, and these guys really know what they’re doing. They have been in business for a long time. I live in Burbank and I have no issue driving down to RS Customs because I want it done right.

This is the place you wanna go to for all your skating needs, and GREAT customer service! Yesterday was my second time visiting this store to purchase skates, the first time purchasing quads, now inline’s. Rick was there and he was sooo sweet, friendly, patient, and helpful and he gave me a better deal than I would’ve found anywhere else. The store carries quality products and a decent selection to choose from. I like that it’s located near my home and that they also offer repairs/​maintenance and customizations. All in all, I would recommend RS Customs to anyone who loves skating, great service, fair prices, and wants to support a small business.

Love this store! So glad they had a variety of quad skates and the equipment to go with. Gentleman behind the counter was knowledgeable and helpful. Nice atmosphere, too. They had a game on a large TV and beautiful holiday decorations around the great displays.

I really liked the service and advice that I was giving at this store. I haven’t been skating in a very longgggggg timeeeee. And I decided to start skating again for exercise. The gym is getting a little boring so I’m adding skating to my life. Great store, I will refer all of my family, friends, and clients to go there for there skates. No rental you guys lol.

I like these guys. Small family run store with plenty of really good and high end choices. They have the suede skates for woman which is always hot. Great selection of wheels and they negotiate.

Damn kids. So my Lil Girl wants some skates for Christmas and daddy can’t say no. I get the info about this place from one of my cousins and go seek it out. The folks at the shop are extremly nice and answer all questions about the items for sale. The only reason that I can’t give the place 5 stars is because of the prices. I have never baught roller skates (not roller blades) before, but they seemed exspensive for shoes with wheels on them. They do have a huge selection of skates and other things. The place is right off the 405 and easy to find. I will make sure my lil girl skates this upcoming year.

I like to skate outdoors, indoors and I skate roller derby. Roller Skates of America have a great mechanic and excellent service and they never ever gouge you. I love that that sell everything from Stacy Adams, inlines, skateboards, artistic skates and speed skates.

Although Rick (the owner) fancies himself a «Country Boy» at heart, he is a gentleman through and through. I was lucky to find this business after some false attempts at other skate shops that left me rather disappointed. They definitely could take a lesson in the stellar customer service I received at Roller Skates of America.
Not only do they have a nice selection for every kind of roller (quad) skater, but they’re full of helpful advice and the whole experience was super easy going.
Why would anyone want to buy skates online or at a large business chain is beyond me. I say support your independent business owner, and if they’re anything like Rick you will receive so much more than what you paid for.

My sister bought a chic pair of roller skates with upgraded outdoor wheels for $ 150. Roller skates range in price from $ 35 starter pair to $ 500 for roller derby skates. This store is a gem in the heart of Lawndale and the place to go for skates in the South Bay.
