Sang and the rest of his staff are amazing. I have taken my car to him when there is a problem with it. They are honest and very reasonable price both labor and parts. I recommend him to anybody who needs their car repaired or want to get custom stuff done. Highly recommended. I wish I can add more stars to this but 5 out of 5 will do. Thank you Sang and staff for always taking care of me and my 88′ Honda Hatch.

I’ve read other reviews that say «this review is long overdue,» but this review is way long overdue!
I’ve been bringing my cars to Sang for nearly 3 years now. He was recommended by my friends husband who works for Toyota. At first I was hesitant because I’ve been lied to several times which makes it hard to trust a new place. However, my alternator went out when I was in the area so I decided bring my car here since it was close.
Needless to say I was very happy with his service and his price! Ever since that day, I will only trust Sang to diagnose my cars. He will only call to say your car needs additional work if it’s true. Trust me, do not hesitate to bring your car here!

I just picked up my 2010 Chevy Camaro SS from Sang, and I am very amazed at his work and the labor charge. Other shops quoted me at double or more than what Sang charged me, and other shops said they did not have the tools to do what I asked to be done. I live close by and I am upset that I did not find this shop before.
It is very hard to find a reputable, honest, and fair priced shop anymore. Sang and Tu did an outstanding job on my car, very detailed and professionally done. I highly recommend this shop and if you are looking to give your car a custom look or need custom work done, older or newer car, do not hesitate to bring it to these guys.
Thank you Sang and crew for making me believe in honest and hard working mechanics again. There is no language barrier here as someone said on another post, and I immediately felt comfortable talking to everyone and they were all very hard working, professionals.

Got all 4 brakes changed here. They said its lifetime warranty. 2 months after brakes started to make noises again. I brought it back about 3 different times. They kept brushing it off. Told me to drive around for couple more weeks and to bring the car back if it made noises again or said that it would take a whole day to fix it and would need to leave it there. I don’t have time or anyone to pick me up. So this was hard for me to do… I came couple of different times asking them to check transmission problem. They kept brushing it off and said to drive it around a few more weeks… The owner and most mechanics are nice but I wouldn’t waste my time coming back. I wasted a lot of time and gas money driving back there, hoped they would help me but too many disappointments.

You can always trust Sang when it comes to car problems or even basic maintenance. Wish I did not live far from his shop but its worth going because he gives all his customers good service. He will not give you a run around or point out things that does not even need to be fixed… only addresses what needs to be done. Its hard to find a trustworthy mechanic nowadays!

Sang is the best. Honest, kind and affordable. My family are loyal customers. We also send everyone We know to see him.

My husband and I have been looking for a mechanic near Redondo Beach since we moved from Boston a year and a half ago. Today I found Sang’s Auto Repair and couldn’t be happier. My husband is very knowledgable about cars so I usually have him diagnose my car problems first but he was out of town this past week and I needed a repair stat. I don’t know why Michelle S. thought he was slow because Sang finished my repairs in 2 hrs by himself. Other dealers quoted me three times that length. My husband got home just in time to pick up my car with me and he was blown away at Sang’s auto acumen and reasonable prices. Although the exterior of his shop is somewhat questionable with parts and the lifeless shells of once capable vehicles Sang made me feel very comfortable leaving my car in his hands and he really made me feel like he cared about bringing my car back to its former glory. There’s no question about it, Sang from Sang’s Auto Repair is the best mechanic in the South Bay. Thank you Sang.

Not sure what Michelle S. Is talking about, Sang (Owner /​Operator) is unbelievably fast when doing his auto servicing. Michelle must have picked a bad date /​time or Sang must have been waiting for a part to come in?
I work on cars as a hobby so I’m very familiar with the time it takes to complete some of the required tasks. Sang will always undercut the competition, he also charges incredible hourly rates. My wife brought her Corolla in to have the shocks replaced. We had done our due diligence and purchased the shocks and installation accessories on Amazon to save some money. Sang had no problem installing all 4 shocks within 2 hours of dropping the car off. Amazing!!! He also didn’t try ripping my wife off with other upswell opportunities. The guy is just solid… Plain and simple. If you’re a woman who’s typically upset with the «woman tax» when bringing your car to an automotive repair place, try Sang’s, he won’t break you.
Other auto places within .5 miles of Sang’s wanted over double what he charged for the same service. It’s a no brainier if you live in the South Bay. Do a little research before your next service, buy the parts online at wholesale, and give them to Sang… He will do the rest, and you’ll save hundreds if not thousands depending on the service. And lastly remember the old adage when paying, «cash is king!»

I originally went to Sang Auto repair regarding a miss in the engine of my Lincoln Navigator. The diagnose was a broken spark plug, I agreed to let him change the plugs. My vehicle ran great until six or seven months later when I began to experience similar problems. I went back to Sang and he checked my vehicle and repaired it at no cost. I have found the mechanic for my vehicle. He is an honest and reliable auto mechanic.

SANG is the BEST!
I have been bringing my ’01 Chevy Malibu to Sang for about 3 years now since I was referred to him by my mother-​in-​law. My car is my baby and at just over 100k it still runs great because I have always treated it as my baby. Whether I bring my car to Sang’s for something that’s gone wrong or just for a tune-​up ahead of a road trip, Sang has always given us the best price I could find and excellent quality of work. (we have a friend who is a mechanic and he vouches for the quality but even he can’t give us as consistently fair pricing as Sang which is why we’ve switched to him in the first place.)
But about a week ago, our baby fell prey to the fate of many old Chevys with electrical issues and the Chevy failed to start, we found that it was due to a rather bad issue with the ‘body control module’, an expensive fix. Sang let us know the fix would cost at least $ 700, my husband and I are both working college students and we just don’t have the money right now. Sang was kind enough to let us leave the car over night free of charge so I wouldn’t have to tow it again and when I came back the next morning he had gone so far as to do a manual reset that works by key on older Malibu models and temporarily fixed the «BCM» issue so I could at least drive it back home instead of towing it, saving me at least $ 100. To top it all off, Sang didn’t even charge me for the diagnosis!
Now, this man is running a business, he spent time on my car over two days and I would have never expected his services for free and neither should you. However, the character of this man has shone through over the years, and a mechanic that you can not only trust to do an excellent job at a fair price, but who is even willing to lend YOU a helping hand is a truly rare find. No wonder all of the reviews for this easily-​missed car shop are so overwhelmingly positive! Like I said, Sang is the best, I trust him with my baby and so should you.
P. S. for those of you wondering if I’m driving the car in this shape, I am not, as Sang advised me not to. I will be needing to get the fix as soon as possible and I will be bringing it back to Sang without a doubt.

I live right across the street from the shop so it was logical for me to try it out. My father and I have been a customer of Sang’s for about 10 years. He is truly an honest and giving man. He has helped us out SO much. I don’t know what we would’ve done if he wasn’t in our lives. He has become part of our family and we love Sang. Its hard to find an honest mechanic. We are very grateful, thankful and lucky that we found him.

Sang is a very honest and trustworthy mechanic. I have been coming here for about 2 years and I have yet to complain. He does the work and every time I am completely happy with it. The only time I come back is if a light is out or I am due for another oil change.

Went in spur of the moment thinking I just needed my freon recharged. Quoted me $ 60. When he looked over the car, I actually needed a new relay plus added freon. For the relay, freon, and service was charged $ 120. Still less than Jiffy Lube quoted ($ 150) for JUST the recharge. Plus I was in and out of there in about 20 minutes and not pressured for anything else, even though I need an oil change. Will definitely be back.

Sang is the owner of this shop. I think he is a good guy and a solid mechanic. He is a man of few words (his English is sometimes a little difficult to understand over the phone) and the garage is messy and crowded with cars they are working on, but he is pretty honest.
I found him when he successfully diagnosed a problem on my Camry that the Toyota dealer and another mechanic could not identify properly, and his prices were much more reasonable than either. The nice thing is that he just tries to fix the problems you want fixed. He will tell you what else he sees only if you ask him, and he won’t try to sell you unnecessary services.

PROS: Quick, friendly, and reasonably priced.
CONS: Place is cramped and it’s hard getting out.
I usually come here whenever there is someone wrong with my car. Every time, I’m happy with the service here. I get my oil change here and it’s just $ 20 dollars each time.
Last time I had them look at my brakes, they told me they were fine, and didn’t try to sell me new brakes I don’t need. They also don’t try to sell me engine flushes, filter changes, or any bs services.
Screw you Jiffy Lube and EZ Lube.
