Had to recently put down my precious Gizmo after 16 years of his love. The staff at Johnson Vet. are very humble, kind and understanding people! They took the time to listen to my concerns and comforted me and my family. I would highly recommend them to any pet owner.

Love Dr. Johnson and his staff, they have always taken the time with both my cat and dog. When I had an emergency with my cat they put her in ICU and she was so well cared for I was allowed to go out back and visit with her, my dog had a some kind of Nerve disorder and could barely move or lie down they were incredible. I highly recommend Dr. Johnson and his staff they are always friendly and helpful even when I missed an appointment. If anyone says they had a bad experience I would highly recommend for them to try again.

I had a fantastic experience today. My goat wasn’t feeling well. The entire staff helped and cared for him. They were were extremely caring and understanding. The facility was beautiful very clean smelled fantastic just overall fantastic! I will be switching my pets to them!

I am surprised by the negative reviews. This is a top notch, very capable and caring practice. I would highly recommend!

I found the care superficial — as if they’re too busy to really take an interest in their patients. The desk staff spends a lot of time complaining about how over-​worked they are; when you’re sitting waiting to see someone, it’s uncomfortable because you can’t help but wonder if they’d be happier if you just left.
It might be unfair, but I think that my cat might still be alive had I gone somewhere else. On the first visit, the vet didn’t see anything wrong. On the follow-​up three days later, the cat was terminally ill and had to be put down. (They didn’t do that procedure, though i had to travel 20 miles away.)
The ASSISTANTS however were all eager, engaged, and friendly. They clearly love the work they do.
Overall, I just can’t recommend them.

Dr. Johnson is a very competent and compassionate vet who went the extra mile to help me diagnose a sudden onset neurological problem with my beautiful dachshund. He is clearly a dachshund lover who understands the breed and really appreciates their quirkiness. His expertise and calm, compassionate approach helped me make a difficult decision last fall, but I would not hesitate to return to this office.

This vet is over-​booked to the point where emergency cases are given scant help. The primary vet missed obvious things in an examination of my cat — we got a second opinion and discovered she was bleeding internally.
The staff is rude, obnoxious, and «dramatic» — if there’s ever one of those hidden camera shows centering on vets — this place would be a prime candidate.
There are better vets in the area — you pet deserves one of them.

We have been with Johnson Vets for 2 dogs now, well over 15 years. Our first dog, a chow, loved going to this vet. When he was 15 years, our vet convinced my husband to let the dog go. Such compassion, from her and all the staff. («This dog would walk through fire and broken glass to be with you, do you want to put him through that».) Years later, with a new pound dog, I’m just as impressed with their mix of professionalism and friendliness. The office is clean, parking plentiful. Busy place, but they always find time for us. This Vet is not in it for the money, they will give advice and refills over the phone, have a great website, and inexpensive on line pet pharmacy. We highly recommend Johnson Veterinary Hospital to all.

It was over 10 years ago. We had a medical emergency with our dog late on a Saturday night. We called our vet (a different vet at that time — a highly regarded vet in Andover) but they would not do anything to help us. They just gave us some basic instructions and told us to visit their office the next day. We did not think this was enough. We were quite worried about our dog. She was in respiratory distress. On the advice of friends, we tried calling Dr. Johnson. He agreed to meet us at his offices right then. The injury was serious, and Dr Johnson gave it the attention it deserved. We switched to Johnson Veterinary Hospital from then on. Obviously, this was an unusual set of circumstances. But beyond the emergencies, Dr Johnson and his team have been great for our dogs for many years now and we swear by them.
