I ordered the egg rolls and I also ordered to chicken on a stick. In the past I have ordered their teriyaki chicken but it had a lot of vegetables in it. It had more vegetables than it did chicken. The flavor was really good but I felt like there was more vegetables than there needed to be. I really really like the chicken on a stick! It had really good flavor and was very fresh and had the moisture that you would want and chicken and it wasn’t dry! I tried the crab rangoon in the past crab rangoon is my favorite but I really felt like this outside of the crab rangoon was really doing and was not crispy as I would normally like it. I gave them 5 stars because this order was really good and I didn’t want to rate them on a past order.

I love comming here, the staff is friendly and they remember you. And that is the same for delivery. The food is cooked fresh and comes out piping hot. They have deals for lunch and dinner and it is enough to fill you up.

This place sucks. The only reason why they get business is because there are so many crappy Chinese places in Lville. Thus, you chose the equal of all evils. Just ordered a meal with Wonton soup. At the end of the call the woman asked me what if I want to add tip to the CC payment. WTF? You should be tipped based on your service! Well, instead of getting my wonton soup I got hot and sour. Oh, and my spring roll tastes like a loogie wrapped in college ruled paper. Don’t go here. Shame on me!

Tonight was my second time ordering here and I ordered the pad thai and WOW it’s a really great dish! Everything I ordered was piping hot and the crab ragoon had a lot of filling and super delicious. I just can’t get over how awesome the pad thai is though, seriously try it! Super fast delivery both times! My new favorite.

It’s located in the Kroger shopping center. Interior is very bleak with old booths and yellowish-beige wall paint. I occasionally end up here because it’s close to home and takes care of my craving for take-out Chinese food. Never got my order wrong and they usually package it well. Standard Chinese fast-food items. Most of the flavoring is pretty bland. And you can definitely get better elsewhere. I’ve had several items from here and nothing practically sticks out as being awfully bad or amazingly good. Price is usually around $ 6-$ 7 for lunch combo that includes fried rice, chicken wing and egg roll. From my most recent meal, I got the shrimp with Chinese vegetables. The shrimp was good and plentiful with good mix of broccoli, sugar snap peas, carrots and onions however I thought the portion was lacking. Fried rice was very bland and only had little bits of egg in it. Egg roll was pretty gross and had some sort of odd minced meat in it. Chicken wing was actually raw towards bone which freaked me out. This place was initially a 2 star for me due to convenience, but I have to take it down to one star after this last experience.

I’m giving it two stars because the main dish I had was pretty good. But, the rest of it… well, not so good. First off, the place smells like a pet shop. No, I’m not exaggerating — it smells like animals in there. The place is kinda grungy and the interior is dated. I ordered Mongolian beef which came with soup and an egg roll. The hot & sour soup was by far the worst soup I’ve ever tasted. It was sour, but not in a good way. I think this soup was spoiled. It smelled like bog water. Seriously. Didn’t eat it. The egg roll sucked — didn’t eat it. However, the Mongolian beef was pretty damned good. If it weren’t for the decent Mongolian beef, this place would have no redeeming qualities. But, two stars for the beef.

I wanted to like this place because its so close to my house. I first ordered the curry fried rice. The taste was so odd, I knew something went wrong. So I came back and ordered the regular chinese fried rice. This was pretty Meh. Not really tasty. I haven’t been back since.

The food was ok, even average, but not for the $ 9.75 for dinner… more like the $ 6 lunch cost since there wasn’t even fried rice with it. The delivery confirmation after submitting the order said 45 – 60 minutes which was long, but I was tired and not in the mood to go out in the rain, so I rationalized the wait and the slight overpriced hoping for the best. At 1 hour 15 mins I called to inquire only to hear that their online ordering adds 15 – 30 mins(of course not posted on their website). At 1.5 hours after the confirmation came through a very nice man delivered the food, luke warm, and average tasking. If you need delivery, it’s edible, but have microwave and patience ready.

So… let’s be honest, the food isn’t bad for Americanized chinese take-out. The previous ownership had been great. My dad lives close enough to the place that he’s actually walked to it a few times. He loves the place, now… he also loves every crappy Chinese buffet in town, but I give him the benefit of the doubt, most of the time. I just started a new job and to celebrate ordered some Chinese through Grubhub. Golden Palace is the only result that I get so I jump on it. I ordered: Sausage fried rice with no veggies and Mongolian beef. I ordered around 10 to make sure that they wouldn’t close before I got off of work… so I received the order around 10:30… I get off at 11:00 so I had to wait that long… THEN I had crucial and vital dating advice to give out… so 11:45 is when I get to start eating my food. I received: Mongolian Beef and Chicken fried rice with veggies. I called and left a voicemail detailing my problem knowing that Golden Palace are solid people. I didn’t eat the chicken fried rice because a) I figured they’d want to see the evidence and b) their chicken gave me food poisoning once and I’d rather not chance it again. I supposed they’d call me at Start of Business or possibly after lunch rush as it would be a Sunday afternoon. Five o’clock, no call. I decided to call them again. I got through, explained my problem, and was put on hold briefly. I was then questioned about what color the meat in my rice was… I informed them that it was chicken-colored. I was informed that sausage is pinkish red and that it could be confused with chicken.(There’s no way it could be confused with chicken.) Basically, the woman questioned me about whether I could tell the difference between sausage and chicken and that I could be terribly mistaken about the two meats… I was insulted to the extreme and when I tried to explain to the delivery person that brought my new sausage fried rice that they’d lost my business, he didn’t understand and just kept saying, «Okay, good good.» Now, I’m searching for new Chinese that doesn’t treat me like I’m stupid.

Typical American Chinese. Nothing to write home about. Customer service could be way better. $ 3.99 for a lunch that includes soup, egg roll, and entrée. Good on ‘budget’ lunch days.

I would give zero, but you can’t. We just moved out to Lawrenceville and tried ordering through Grubhub. Grubhub called us thirty minutes after we ordered and told us that the place we ordered from was not picking up their phone so they were refunding us the money. Okayyyyy… whatever. On to restaurant #2, Golden Palace. We place our $ 50 order online at 9:30 and receive the delivery at 10:30. Perfect. Great. Everyone is happy, except my boyfriend who was not pleased with the fact that the driver didn’t thank him for the $ 15 tip. Okay, yeah, that’s a jerk move, but at least everyone has their food. Oh wait, they don’t. They haven’t given us over half of our order! They also didn’t give us a receipt. I immediately call the restaurant and get a generic voice mail. I call Grybhub and they apologize, refund our second order of the night and give us a $ 5 coupon. Five dollars?! Wow. That’s really generous, Grubhub. Needless to say, not only is the service from Golden Palace absolutely horrible, the food is practically inedible. We threw everything away and ordered from Papa Johns. The whole point of take-out is not having to deal with cooking for the night. I could have prepared a Thanksgiving meal in the time it took me to deal with this place. It probably would have been less stressful, too. Stay away.

I LOVED the Thai Basil Fried Rice, edamame, chicken teriyaki, and wonton soup. My husband LOVED the beef and broccoli. However, my last delivery contained a dead bug in the bag. I just can’t… Sorry.

I think that 3 stars might be a bit much, but two seemed unfair. Food was okay, light on flavor and a bit chewy. The toughest part of the whole meal aside from the slow service was that the restaurant doesn’t have combination dinners like most of its style — and the al a carte prices for their egg rolls and soup put it in a price range that’s far beyond its quality.

First time here and the food was pretty good. The fried rice had very little vegetables in it however. Fast and friendly but I was the only one there.

I enjoy this restaurant. The food has always been good, service and cleanliness excellent. They have a good dinner special with soup, egg roll, entrée and fried rice for $ 7.99. There are about 15 or more choices for your entrée. I’m not sure why you would expect Chinese people in a Chinese restaurant to speak great English. How do you think you would do in an American restaurant in China trying to speak Chinese?

Sesame chicken was rather dry and disappointing. They have good fortune cookies though.
