This was the first time I order from this restaurant. The food was delivered in a timely manner and very friendly delivery driver. I ordered shrimp egg fu young, ginger salad and egg soup. The egg soup was good. The salad was ok, dressing to sweet. The egg full young good portion but overcooked. The egg full young was not good and the gravy was watery.

Came here for the first time after reading great reviews from fellow Unilocalies. Lunch time, weekday, the place wasn’t busy at all. Friendly staff, quick service and reasonable prices. We ordered Shrimp Fried Rice with basil and Basil Chicken. The taste was much much better than other places I’ve been to. The lunch comes with a soup and a fried Roll. Portion sizes was big enough to make you feel full. The total for 2 lunches came to just over $ 16. We left a $ 20 bill. The only thing that really turned me off was the VERY Sticky plastic table cover. It was that transparent plastic, but it kept sticking to everything. I know it was clean, but it just gave feeling of unclean, greasy sticking thingi. This is the thing that stole a star from my rating, otherwise it would have been a 4 star. Overall, it’s a much much better place than other strip Chinese restaurants.

This was the best Chinese restaurant I’ve had in Atlanta since I’ve been here. The staff was great and they give you a lot of food for your money. I was very satisfied. The wait was not long at all. Great food!!!

Honestly, the food is average… It truly is. If you’re expecting spectacular Chinese food, this isn’t it. You can literally get the exact same quality from any other dime-a-dozen Chinese restaurant. So when you call in and are greeted with«What do you want?»… It makes you want to take your money else where. Lin’s Bistro delivers to the same area and is better, but the portions are smaller… And China Hall has the same quality food at about .50 cents cheaper per dish. If you’re in Lawrenceville and want good Chinese, you may just want to hop in your car and head down Buford Highway.

Mannnn. Disappointed is an understatement. Everyone knows Chinese tends to be on the expensive side so when I get it, my expectations are high. Needless to say the takeout I got was the hands down WORST Chinese food I have had in my entire life. The service was good and the people were friendly but the food was just bad. It was no seasoning WHATSOEVER. All the duck sauce and soy sauce I could find still couldn’t help it. Don’t waste your money like I did.

Not the same place as it was months ago. There must be either new owners or managment because the food was not as good as prior visits.

Tried again tonight. new management sign gave me hope the food had improved from meh to hmmm. Unfortunately received a mix of success and failure with the food. Egg roll and egg drop soup were fairly good. Pork egg foo young had no sauce — bone dry. Chin pe chicken was very bland, no spice no heat. Did not live close enough to go back for the rest of the meal. Food was mediocre before and now the entrees have slid off the wonton! Great chinese is elusive in Lawrenceville.

I have dined here many a time. I have had a bad experience once or twice but 99% of the time the place is awesome. They also have a great buffet on Sundays. They have some of the best hot and sour soup I have ever had. Also, they have GREAT shrimp fried rice. You pretty much have to go to a japanese hibachi place to get better fried rice. I try to respect everyone’s opinion but a 1 star review for this place is totally unwarranted and just plain out crazy IMHO.

I loved every bite of the food I got from Golden Palace II! Best Steamed dumplings I EVER had! I was so excited to have found what I thought was going to be OUR home base spot for Chinese food. Then I looked over at my wife. She had that«I’m about to spit this food out» look on her face. She got sweet and sour chicken. She said her chicken was so rubbery and greasy that she didn’t even want it. We even tried to pawn it off on our child and he turned his nose up at it as well. So into the garbage it went. Now I know I will never get her to go back there unless I go there by myself which makes me a little sad.

This Chinese restaurant has been here forever. We generally do take out. They deliver fast and the food is good. When I want food quickly I call them up and they deliver every time no problem. Occasionally I have lunch here and the service is good.

Worst Chinese take out I’ve ever had. I can’t even explain how nasty my food was, we ended up throwing it out.

Here on business and took a chance on this place. Huge mistake. Should have walked out when there was NOONE in the place but the décor looked good and just wanted to get back to my hotel. Ordered Chicken & Broccolli. I had to throw the chicken out and just eat the broccolli. The texture of teh chicken was slimy and like rubber. Had to be old and frozn — and hopefully it was actually chicken if you know what I mean. Life is too short for crappy Chinese take out — find somepace else.

It’s been about 8 years since the last time I ate here. Due to it being very close to where I live we tried it again tonight. The food is just not good. Very greasy! After looking at the positive reviews here I was hoping that it had improved. It hasn’t and I’m not coming back to try again in another 8 years.

Not quite PF Chang’s, but for a strip mall Chinese place, surprisingly good. The folks who work there are also extremely friendly and very service oriented. Close to home as well so it’s a very convenient(and quick) option when neither hubby nor I are in the mood to cook.

I definitely recommend this place for lunch! It’s next to the Kroger’s BTW I’m reviewing the Kung Pao with white rice, extra spicy. This was sliced white meat chicken, peanuts, cubed water chestnuts & bamboo shoots, zucchini cubes, and really, really good sauce! The appetizer hot and sour soup was okay. No complaints but no rave either. $ 3.99 Dine in lunch special — egg roll, soup(3 choices), rice and your choice of dish from the Specials. To take this deal home it’s $ 4.50. I highly recommend dining in instead of take out because the food was just extremely fresh and piping hot In a nutshell, this Chinese is totallyyy authentic, flavorful, no MSG. This is basically«Buford Hwy» Chinese food hiding in Lawrenceville ahh if you’re a foodie you totally understand what I mean Oh yeah the servers are so catering and nice! Customer service A+

For a strip mall Chinese restaurant, this place was a surprise! My father-in-law is a regular at Golden Palace; therefore, it came highly recommended. I began with the Hot and Sour Soup, which was some of the best I have ever had. I hated having to go back to North Carolina knowing that I would not again have the pleasure of enjoying this soup again in the near future. It came highly recommended by our server. If I ever have the opportunity to go back to Atlanta, this soup will be the first stop on my trip. The fried rice tasted terrific. It was flavorful and not as greasy as you get at many Chinese restaurants. The Mongolian beef was extremely tender and just as sweet as one would expect. The sesame chicken could have been a touch more spicy, but it was extremely flavorful, and the chicken was very tender. Lawrenceville should feel extremely lucky to have Golden Palace. Chinese restaurants of this quality are hard to come by in other parts of the country!
