The Hair Stylist are very Knowledgeable and if they have any doubts they call upon the manager for advise. I liked that. It just means that maybe they don’t cut that style as often.
Yes the place is extremely pricey short hair cut $ 45, c’mon now. Place is clean and personnel are very pleasant to all.

I had previously written a review for this location, commenting on the skills of my stylist (very talented, and I always left happy with my cut), but that the prices were too high. The owner’s response was snarky condescending, and rude. And she commented that she would be contacting me further to explain, etc. and never did. If you’re going to say that you will contact someone, don’t just say it. Do it. The stylist has since left this location and I have moved my business elsewhere.

Finally! This is truly a lovely salon. Every single person here is friendly. The salon is beautiful and very very clean. As soon as I arrived my coat was taken and I was offered a beverage. Within moments of arriving for my appointment I was taken back to have my hair washed. (No long wait time due to over booking etc)
I feel like anyone could go here. It’s truly a multicultural salon. I have natural Afro kinky curly soft hair. I saw Brittani who gently cleansed, blew dry, flat ironed and cut my hair. No chemicals necessary I walked out the salon with flowing soft beautifully straighten hair. Brittani was very kind and really knows her stuff.
I saw other ladies getting sylish cuts, straight styles and lovley curls. I also like that each employee there cared about their personal appearance. Everyone was coordinating by all wearing black but with their unique individual fashion twist. I believe the owner was there as well.
Some notes, they do take Visa cards, bring cash for tips, very affordable prices, and their wash sinks are very comfortable because they are raised and only require you to sit vs leaning back. Brittany told me they also do braids, sew ins, and they sale vitamins to promote natural hair/​skin/​& nail health. They also give new clients a mini goodie bag :)

Scheduled a run thru for wedding makeup with Ashley. The foundation applied was many shades darker than my skin tone. My face looked like I spray tanned and my neck was white. I had asked for makeup on my neck and to have under eye circles as well as lines around my nose and cheeks covered. This was not done. I looked 15 years older at the end. The colors used were unflattering and thank goodness I didn’t have this done for my wedding. Frosted eye shadow and lipstick were applied, I’m in my 50’s, that’s a real no-​no. Highlighter applied to the inner corners of my eyes was liberally dotted on and not blended. The mascara wand from the bottle was used on my lashes and I wonder hown many dozens of other persons eyelashes, unsanitary.
I have emailed the salon twice to try to get some compensation for the wasted $ 70 and have not heard back. Poor customer service.
My hair dresser is at this salon and I highly recommend her.
UPDATE: 11÷1÷14 The owner Denise & I finally connected. I requested and received a full refund for the makeup which I really appreciated. It makes me feel better about trying different services at the salon. I love my hair stylist, Gloria, at Great Looks and I highly recommend her.

Now, I have no doubt that they do great hair. They definitely do. And some of the makeup artists here are absolutely fantastic. (Get the airbrush makeup done!) Staff is VERY friendly and most are knowledgeable. But I came here with a group for a wedding event, and I was very unhappy with the result when my makeup was done. The artist used scotch tape (!) on the sides of my eyes to create a straight line effect of eyeshadow. Though I showed her a picture of what I wanted, she took it upon herself to choose completely different colors that what I had shown her, and the look she gave me ended up very far off from what I felt was appropriate for a wedding. I had brown eyeshadow on my eyes from lashes to eyebrow, and I looked as though I were preparing for a lady-​gaga concert. I asked her to revise this 3 times, which she did happily, (she had a great attitude and wanted me to be happy) and I was more satisfied with the end result.
My major complaint is not really about the way the makeup was done, because everyone has a different style and way they envision what looks good. But she should have asked if I am allergic to adhesive before applying scotch tape to my face (my eyes were closed at the time of application) especially with such a sensitive area as the skin around the eye.
Secondly, every time I have had makeup done professionally in the past, sanitary disposable applicators were used for hygienic purposes, and that is the norm at any Sephora, Ulta, etc. However… The artist that I had used the same tube of lipgloss and the applicator that came with it on several other customers that day, and the same with the mascara she used — she used the same mascara wand that came attached to the lid of the mascara tube. They were used on me, and then put back inside the tube, then used on my friends, and put back inside the tube. I feel this is extremely dangerous having not known who’s lips that applicator had been on, or how many people had used that same tube of mascara (which, I should point out was cheap drugstore brand N.Y.C.) If I have to pay $ 50+ dollars for makeup, all I ask is that the methods used are sanitary and that they take better care to first ask about allergies and skin conditions before applying the makeup.
There were other artists there who did an exceptional job with the rest of bridal party’s makeup, but the few others in the party who had the same artist as I did were shocked to find that she was using the same applicator wands on each of us. I don’t think that I will return, at least not for makeup application.

I’ve been going to Great Looks 4 Less for almost 1 year now and I’ve had a wonderful experience. Owner Denise is my stylish and she’s fantastic. My hair is not the easiest to cut but she really takes her time when working with me. If it’s not just right, she encourages you to come back so she can make tiny «tweaks» until it’s just perfect. She is a master at color too and I get so many compliments on my hair. I can’t recommend them enough!

I just went to GLFL yesterday because my regular hair stylist has moved. I heard about GLFL when they came to Gold’s Gym Lawrenceville to cut hair to raise money for victims of Hurricane Katrina.
This was my first time going to the salon.
As soon as I walked in, it felt like a peaceful place. Nice music, warm & stylish décor, and I was given a friendly greeting by Lena who was to be my stylist.
Lena was wonderful, professional and genuine. Having a head massage while getting my hair washed was a pleasant bonus! A cup of hot tea during my haircut was nice, too. I truly felt pampered, comfortable and cared for at this very affordable salon. Denise, the owner, was gracious and friendly.
When I got to work yesterday everyone complimented me and loved the haircut.
