History
Established in 1992.
Built in 1885, the Gwinnett Historic Courthouse was once a place for judicial matters. Now a rental venue for special events and meetings, it is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The original courtrooom turned ballroom boasts 24 foot ceilings, deep crown molding, vintage chandelier lighting, paladian windows, rich hardwood floors, plantation shutters and wainscoting. Landscaped lawn and gazebo in a park-like setting is ideal for weddings cermonies or company picnics. We are one of two historic courthouses in the nation to have a military burial grounds on the premises. We are also home to the Gwinnett Veterans Museum and the Gwinnett Historic Society.

Manager
With 12 years in the hospitality industry, I am pleased to be able to serve as Supervisor of this wonderful historic building. The courthouse is an easy venue to love, wrapped in charm and elegance. The staff is warm, friendly and accomodating. Everything you would expect here in the south. Stop by and see for yourself! Be sure to talk with the veterans during your visit. If you need information about your family history in Gwinnett, stop in and visit with the volunteers at the Historic Society upstairs.
