After 16 years in legal practice, representing and negotiating with companies like Walmart, Disney, Microsoft and Clorox, and having served on management teams of global companies, JoAnn Holmes founded HOLMES@LAW, LLC to provide pragmatic, result-​driven legal advice for startups, small and medium sized businesses. JoAnn («Jo») Holmes is adept in distilling complex information into understandable, result-​driven and pragmatic legal advice. She’s successfully represented a gamut of clients, from startups to Fortune 100 companies. Having managed intellectual property portfolios in 130+ countries, and negotiated contracts for businesses with products in over 70 nations, Jo lives the firm’s slogan — Your Business Ally™.

Jo is a graduate of Stanford University and Emory School of Law. She has spoken extensively on technology, trademarks, branding, copyrights, advertising and social media, including for the Association of Corporate Counsel, the Georgia State Bar, at Cornell Law School and McKesson Corporation. She’s served as an Adjunct Professor of Law, and written for the American Bar Association.
