I really liked the fact about how big this place is.
I liked show and enjoyed service. There is really nothing not to like. I would deffenetly recommend it to try at least once.
Great value for a money. I purchased discounted tickets for $ 30 per person at dragon con and just used it recently.

It’s a good show overall, but the acting can be seen that it’s fake. They need to do more horse tricks. It’s good family entertainment. They treat you with respect. They really try to push the medieval theme across.
The food is overall good. They have tomato soup which was terrible in taste, it just looked like tomato powder and water. The garlic bread needed more butter and garlicy taste. The chicken was not that tasteful but it was good. The corn on cob and potato both didn’t have flavor it’s just really bland food. If you like apple pie then you will like the apple pie pastry. 2 soda refills and coffee at the end. It’s all included. They have a veg option also. The good was hot/​warm. They give you an hot towel in packet at the end. They don’t offer utensils and more napkins so you should bring those with you. Hands sanitizer is also recommend.
If you get vip (Royal) seating in front row plus you get vip lanyard, towel, and mini cheering banner. VIPs get food first and seating in front first. If you think extra $ 20ish worth that. Everyone gets a crown at the beginning. At the end you can take photos with Knights.
They try to push photos they take, but the quality of pic is good but they don’t take the pics at the weird angles and they won’t do retakes since they are in a rush.
Otherwise everything was good.

Medieval Times is located inside Sugarloaf Mills (use to be called Discover Mills) in Lawrenceville. For years I kept brushing this place, but am happy I finally went. Growing up, I loved pretty much everything medieval related and can’t believe I didn’t go sooner! Yes, this place is definitely better suited for children, but the bar doesn’t make it kid friendly :) Overall though, if you have kids, nieces, nephews, grandchildren… I’m sure they’d love this experience.
What child doesn’t love knights riding horses, jousting, sword fighting, and a very cool trained falcon flying?!? :D Plus, my meal was delicious. I honestly didn’t didn’t anticipate the meal to be anything special, but really. the chicken… whoa! I thought it could even compete with Boston Market :) I’d like to think my palate isn’t anything special, but really. the roasted chicken was so yummy!

This was our first time here so didn’t know what to expect really. The show was good, the acting was a bit blah to me though. The food was much better than expected! We are drinkers, the waiter only comes around with two refills (your first one, then about mid meal) so order a drink from outside while you wait to enter you drink a lot. Overall, we liked it and would attend again in the future.

Last night was date night so we decided to do something a little different. We attended The Medieval Times Dinner and Tornament.
First, let me say the experimence was interesting. We’ve never been before and heard the show was great. However, this place is definitely more of a family and kids friendly environment. Great for kids parties and celebrations. Single adults should go for the experience once but find another place for date night.
The non optional menu consisted of Garlic Bread, Tomato Bisque, Baked Chicken, Corn on the cob, a Potato wedge and an Apple tart for desert. The food is served peice by peice like an assembly line for your whole row. The food was hot and surprisingly had flavor. The drink options are Pepsi, Sweet tea or water. They also offer alcoholic beverages with specialty take home cups. I Love the fact that they offer coffe at the end for parents who may need it before driving their kids home.
As far as the show, it was entertaining to see the knights fight and to go along the the story line.
Overall, I had a good time. I would come back but only with my neice and nephew.

We had a wonderful time. It was much more than I expected. My advice is give yourself plenty of time. They suggest arriving early and I would agree. The experience begins as soon as you enter the lobby. The décor is perfect for photo ops and getting into character. I believe there is also a bar area for pre-​dinner libation. The food is tasty, hot and the serving size just right. Our server was as nice as he could be, even offering a carry out box for leftovers. Although, my young niece did sneak in a few utensils. Truth be told it was easier to eat the entire dinner with your hands. The warm towel finale was right on point. The lighting was very good, I expected having to deal with darkness but it was perfect.
The arena is divided into six kingdoms designated by color. Each kingdom sends one knight into competition. The show consists of challenges, games of precision and even a display of equine high stepping. All of which culminates in a final joust. The actors were quite good and, judging by the post dinner photos of my nephew and one of the knights, also very friendly. I didn’t get to see this because said utensil using niece rushed me over to the shopping area. Which was also very nicely laid out. The only show downside was the ability to understand what the actors were saying. I can’t say if it was related to the sound system or the use of the period language, but it gave the story line a discombobulated effect.
I should also add the accessible seating is only along the top row. But even these seats were close enough to the action.
I would have given this place all five stars but for the vendors selling the light up toys during the event. I get the sale of the kingdom flags and banners, but the 20^th century light-​ups were out of place and a little annoying.

My son daughter and I bought in the New Years here. It was excellent! The food was delicious, the drinks were good, and the entertainment was outstanding. They had balloon drop for the countdown to 2016 and I partied with my babies like we were at a club! Great times and great memories.

Horses, knights, sword fighting, half a chicken?! What more do you want?
I’ve been to this particular Medieval Times three times now. All for birthday shin digs. Once for my own and once in the Royalty tier. The Royalty tier is great if you’re looking to take photos of the action, otherwise it’s fun to just cheer your knight on and simply enjoy the show.
As others have mentioned you don’t really come here for the food. It does, however, make a nice little supplement to any ren fest cravings, authentic or not. Food is always the same, always standard: tomato soup, garlic Texas toast, half broiled chicken, seasoned potato wedge, and apple turnover, with a cup of coffee at the end. Almost like an in-​flight meal with more chicken. I also tried a mango hurricane slush, the non-​virgin kind. Powdered, but refreshing. Be sure to bring hand sanitizer if you aren’t keen about eating with your hands. You could be naughty. and sneak a fork in, but that ruins the fun. Extra napkins or wet wipes suffice easily.
Service wise, our server was very pleasant and role-​play-​y, with a dash of «I hate people.» I imagine that gets really tiring fast so I’m right there with her with people spouting off ye Olde silliness. Another round of «Do you bite your thumb at me, sir?» and there could be a problem.
Before the show you can buy kitschy magnets, cups, or shirts. They also sell replica armor and swords/​shields, even some from Zelda & Halo. The dungeon & museum of torture is an extra small fee to enter, I have yet to go down there because of this fee. After the show, the king, princess, & knights come out to talk and meet with the audience or take photos.
As for the show itself, it was great as usual and fun to watch. I find Medieval Times to be a money sink or money milker since as soon as you buy tickets they’re milking you for your experience, from photos to really anything besides standing and breathing. However, if you can go at a discount then it’s worth it. Regardless, it’s still a lot of fun for adults and children. Just expect to shell out some cash for the extra frills.

Wonderful… wonderful…I am a vegetarian and it was perfect food wise. My first course of the feast was hummus with pita bread, celery, and carrots.
The second part of my meal was tomato soup followed by a veggie stew. It came in a little medal pot. It was filled with beans, carrots, delicious potatoes and covered with rice. It was so delish and filling. I brought the leftovers home.
The meal ended with an apple turnover and coffee. We really enjoyed the show. There were other guest behind us that yelled out words like «kill him» and funny words as if we were really back in that era.
My best friend had his birthday celebration. He was able to get in at no charge. The «wench» even put a candle in his turnover and we all shouted «happy birthday» we truly had an amazing, magical, fun time.

My husband and youngest daughter were away for the weekend recently so my older daughter and I thought it would be fun to do something for our Mother/​Daughter Girl’s Night. We decided on Medieval Times because we had never been there before and we thought it would be fun to try something new. I purchased our tickets online and when we arrived, we turned them in at the box office in exchange for our seating cards which told us which section, row, and by color — which knight we would be cheering for. On this trip, it was the green night. We were ushered around the corner where we were given our crowns (also colored for our designated knight) and then moved through for a picture with either the King or Princess which you have an opportunity to purchase later during the show. Then we moved in to a large open area decorated as a castle ballroom. Rustic yet realistic with suits of armour on each wall, tables in front of a fire provided a nice seating area, the bar at the back for alcohol purchases, and small benches scattered throughout. There were gifts shops which sold a variety of items, my daughter fell in love with a tiara so we purchased that prior to the start of the show.
When it was time for the show to begin, a master of ceremonies began calling us by color/​knight and we moved quickly to our seats. You realize quickly that the arena is much larger than one would expect. Once seated, our server went through the drinks, Bill of Fare (menu), and general do’s and dont’s. Non-​alcoholic drink choices include tea, Pepsi, and water which you are instructed to turn your cup in certain ways to ensure the server knows which drink to pour. Then you are served your meal — a slice pf garlic bread, tomato soup, ½ roast chicken, corn, and ½ baked potato. I was always hesitant to come to Medieval Times before b/​c my daughter is a very picky eater but she loved it! The food was phenomenal.
The actor’s were wonderful. The horse’s and falcon were beautiful. And the show, in general, really catered to the ambiance and experience. There was pageantry and jousting. I had preconceived notions before going that a themed restaurant would be rather juvenile. However, you couldn’t help but to want to cheer your knight on and boo for the other knights when necessary. It was really enjoyable for myself and for my daughter.
All in all, Medieval Times far exceeded my expectations — so much so that two weeks later we took my younger daughter for her first visit while my husband was traveling for work. This way, I hope to have an excuse to go back soon for our third visit. Afterall, Dad has to go too, right? :)

I’ve been to three MTs (Chicago, Myrtle Beach, and Atlanta) and this one is, by far, the best. The tickets can get pricey but it’s well worth the price.
This is a great place for kids and teenagers. The first time I took my son, he yelled out, «I’ve waited 13 years to see this show!!» He was 13 at the time and overcome with excitement.
The food is delicious, especially the chicken (or baby dragon as they call it). You get a whole half a chicken. You start with tomato bisque and garlic bread, then you get chicken, a rib (presently I believe they have replaced the rib with corn on the cob), half a roasted potato and an apple puff pastry for dessert.
The show is fantastic. I won’t spoil it with any details, but be prepared to see amazing fights and gorgeous horses. Before the show, you can have your picture taken with a random member of royalty or even the falconer. They print it and you can buy it if you like.
The Knights gather in the great hall after the night show for autographs and pictures, free of charge! If you buy a wooden sword from the gift shop, they’ll sign it.
One more thing… be sure to follow Medieval Times Atlanta on Facebook. They are always giving away free tickets. I’ve won twice!

This was my first time there. While I can’t say I will go back every weekend, I can say I am excited for my kids to get a little older so they can enjoy the show at least once. The food was tasty and I was excited that my husband could enjoy everything but the bread items (Celiac Disease) without much fuss. They even brought him a sherbert type dessert to replace his dessert pastry which was appreciated. The seating is comfortable and our second row view was awesome.
One odd thing that happened, and I am pretty sure I misheard, was when we were offered to buy our picture (taken with the princess upon entry) for $ 21 I declined because it was not particularly flattering, I swear the gal got mad and said «Well you should buy it!» when she left. However it was pretty noisy, so I am sure that she said something else that I just didn’t catch.
I was impressed with the horsemanship in the show and the falconer was awesome! I didn’t even expect that part.
Overall a great experience for our anniversary and I believe my kids will enjoy it when they get a little older.
We did get a deal on the Medieval Times website and got a free upgrade to Royalty ($ 20/​ticket).

Food is just OK, but the show is good and the general ambiance is good.

If you can get your tickets at a discount, you can’t beat the price for what an experience you get. I didn’t pay full price ($ 54 per adult), but I had a blast with friends.
Get there early to ensure seats together. Groups of 5 get the best seats (IMO).
Be prepared to eat with your hands and in the dark. :-)

I’d never considered going to Medieval times, despite my love of game of thrones, but friends had a free groupon spot so I decided to tag alone and see the show.
I always knew that Medieval times was located inside of Sugarloaf Mills, but I didn’t know how big the place really was. They’ve really outdone themselves, the second you step in with your ticket, because the entire building looks the part, and in addition to taking a picture with the king as you enter, if it’s your birthday, you can be knighted!
For the show itself, your seating is broken down in colored sections, and each color represents your knight (our knight was too busy fixing his hair to win anything!). It’s pretty cool to see the guys on the field running and putting jousting barriers up, or running to grab a back up weapon for a knight when his current one was knocked out of his hand. There are animals there from horses, to falcons to entertain, and you’re often encouraged when your knight is performing his task, to yell and applaud
Food is actually pretty good! They start you off with a drink and a tomato soup in a too hot to touch metal bowl. I mean, i’m loving the eat with your hands thing but my lips man! My lips!
In addition, you got a half roasted chicken, one half potato, kinda fried and a BBQ rib. They all had names such as dragon’s blood (tomato soup), dragon’s finger (rib), but I forget all of them.
Before or after the show starts, you’re likely going to find yourself in their huge gift shop, where you can buy items as mundane as cutlery, to as over the top as swords.
I just can’t see kids having a bad time here. It’s a dream world for them, and staff does a great job taking care of you. I’m not sure how much an entire package costs, but there are coupons provided on the little cardboard crowns that I happily walked out into the parking lot with.
If you have kids, or you’re up for show of a different kind that’s pretty fun, you really need to check this place out

Medieval times was quite a fun experience. We’ve always wanted to go so decided to finally treat my wife there for her birthday. She got in free because of her birthday (it just needs to be your birthday month) so that was a plus. By the way, I tried to book my ticket and her free ticket online but the coupon they emailed me did not work for some reason –so I’d suggest calling the number on their website if you want to use a coupon. I did and they were very friendly and it was an easy exchange.
Once we got to the castle, (which was about 45mins away from our house), it was very impressive on the outside and really amped up our level of excitement. Thanks to another Unilocal review, we already knew to enter through the mall in order to access MT so there was no confusion there. Once at the ticket booth, I presented my ID and the card used for payment and they gave us our table numbers. They never even asked my wife to present her ID for birthday verification even though they said they would. *Shrug*. They also asked us if we’d like to upgrade our seats to get a closer spot but we declined.
Once inside the «lobby area», they basically force you (politely :) to take pics with the princess and/​or king. These pics are then immediately hung up on a wall and you’re encouraged to purchase it. The price ranges from $ 15 and up. If you can’t decide whether you want the pic at first, don’t worry they will try to sell it to you several more times throughout the night. TRUST ME!
Further inside, there’s a bar and little booths where you can purchase tons of MT merchandise including light-​up toys, costumes etc, etc. We decided to grab some drinks at the bar, I think the fancy looking cups and mugs drew us over lol. Anyway, we ordered two specialty drinks, each with a double shot and got them in a special MT mug to commemorate the occasion. I kid you not, just TWO drinks came up to $ 50! Fifty bucks!!! Omg! We were in shock. Don’t get me wrong, they were delicious drinks but not $ 50 delicious. But at least we got some cool mugs out of the deal. :/​
Finally, the doors opened to the arena and we got to enter according to the color crowns we were assigned at the ticket counter. That color determines which knight you will primarily root for throughout the night although you can root for three knights in total who are all from your side of the realm. Our main knight though was the Black and White knight. We went in, found our seats and were THRILLED that we didn’t pay to upgrade. All the seats seemed to have a great view of the «action».
The show started and by now we were all starving and praying the food would come out soon but they kinda string you along slightly before it comes out. They want you good and hungry I guess because it’s true what everyone says, the food isn’t stellar. It’s not the worse food ever but it’s definitely not the best either. You get garlic bread and tomato soup (which is IMO the worst thing on the menu because it’s pretty watered down), a baked potato, corn, half a roasted chicken (which is IMO the best thing on the menu, it’s pretty tasty) and for dessert an apple pie (kinda like what you get at any fast food place). Even though the food was just okay, we liked feeling like we were back in medieval times because of the creative names the servers had for the various dishes and the fact that you eat everything with your hands (don’t worry they give you a warm napkin to clean up with afterwards). You also get a drink (Pepsi, sweet tea or water) and ONE refill. What I didn’t like about the drink was, mine was still full when they came around midway through our meal to refill our cups so I never got my one free refill. I think they should come out one more time at dessert with one more refill OR make it so that if you missed your drink refill you can get it later (maybe give out a refill token or something).
By far, the best part of the food experience was the servers. They were funny and enthusiastic… please remember to tip them at the end of your meal (they will remind you once or twice too lol) and you can do it with your credit card.
The entertainment was fun for the most part. We liked cheering on our knight throughout the various tasks he competed in. We were a bit disappointed that he lost in the end but it was still fun to root for him like we knew him personally lol. There were times throughout that the dialogue (and there’s lots of it) got lost though. Sometimes we just couldn’t quite hear or make out what was being said and some of it was just boring.
Overall though, we quite enjoyed ourselves. It was different and I’d return at least one more time with my niece and nephew perhaps. The cost is exorbitant so I won’t be back without some sort of deal… luckily they seem to offer lots of deals for various occasions. I also wish they wouldn’t hawk merchandise so hard during the show and I for sure would not order another drink from the bar. But, otherwise we had a great time.

My wife and I had a great time, but it did not come without some heartache at first.
They called and e-​mailed me to cancel my show the day of the showing. They said it was due to an attendance issue. Now this is probably not an issue for many people, but I made a lot of arrangements to attend this show. I booked a nonrefundable hotel in the area and had made arrangements for my children to be watched and everything. I had no other plans in the area that evening. So, I wasn’t happy that they only planned to refund the cost of my show considering I had incurred a much larger cost due to their cancellation. I had to complain quite a bit, but I honestly had nothing better to do.
Katie Ortiz offered to refund my tickets via e-​mail after I left a voicemail.
Michael Parrish was a bit more reasonable. My wife spoke with him and they reached a better conclusion. She asked if he had a show the next day. He said he did have an 11 AM show the next day and there was no way it would be canceled as he had 800 guests coming.
He offered to refund the money anyway and would make sure we had a great time.
I was very appreciative because I went to Medieval Times with a school group when I was 14 in Orlando and it was a memorable trip. I was really looking forward to this part of my vacation.
We showed up early the following morning and Mr. Parrish quickly greeted us near the ticket booth and let us take a picture with the King and, I believe, the Princess. He introduced us to Brandon, who would later be our waiter. He took us through the chamber of torture for a little bit and then went off to attend to business, but pointed us in the right direction. We were seated front and center in the red and yellow section. Our champion even won the event. The school kids that were there gave it a great atmosphere and it seemed that everyone had a great time. The actors were really into the show, even if some parts were a bit cheesy it was entertaining.
The food was pretty decent. I was expecting some soup like I had before, but it was just garlic toast, half a baked potato, a large cookie, and a piece of a chicken that included a wing and a thigh. It was all fresh and hot off a baking pan.
Brandon was also an excellent server and host and made sure we had a great time. Michael more than made up for the problems we experienced and we had a wonderful time at the show.

Such a great place for something different and entertaining. You get to experience the Medieval Times lingo, entertainment, and food. The hype wasn’t the same since I went here years back during high school. It was still fun to see the horses perform. There was also a falcon (?) that made a quick appearance.
So if you use the birthday certificate (for the month of your birthday you can get a one-​time free admission if you sign up in advance), this has to accompany a FULL priced adult ticket. There’s a promo going on for $ 36.95 for Spring Break. Prior to this promo, I saw another so just check their Website before committing to their regularly priced $ 54.95 ticket.
You can arrive 90 mins before the show time or just be there 30 mins prior like me and the bro did. I think the seating is based on first come first serve as it relates to the proximity of the King and Queen’s seating area that’s set to the furthest left (or this can be considered the front) side of the arena.
You have the option for a vegetarian meal if you can’t consume the meats. And yes, you will be eating with your hands since this was the norm during Medieval Times. You are basically served a full course meal from an appetizer to dessert. The breakdown is below:
* Pepsi, sweet tea, or water
* Tomato soup
* Bread
* Roasted chicken (thigh and leg)
* BBQ spare rib (one to two pieces)
* Herb roasted potato
* Pastry & coffee
At the end, you can get autographs or take pictures of the actors/​actresses. Browse the gift shop and enjoy the décor and costumes. There was also an area that said «Dungeon.» I think this is a separate mini attraction for an additional cost.

Don’t think of this as a Renaissance fair, or by any means, an «authentic» Medieval performance– it is more closely aligned with a circus or WWE (wrestling) experience. By this I mean, you’ll get a show with plenty of corny lines and choreographed moves, but they do it well enough to suck you in and you can’t help but enjoy yourself.
And that inevitable «fun-​to-​be-​had» is why Medieval Times gets the four stars instead of three.
On the topic of FOOD, don’t expect anything fancy– and don’t WEAR anything fancy because utensils are not allowed and you have to make the most of the single napkin the provide. Here’s a run-​down of the menu (along with what my server dubbed each dish):
–GARLIC BREAD («The bread of bad breath, my lady.») — tasted just like Texas toast.
–TOMATO SOUP («Dragon’s blood.») — thin and not very flavorful, but just fine for tomato soup.
–ROASTED CHICKEN («Dragon a la rotisserie.») — a huge and well-​cooked portion of chicken.
–SPARE RIB («Meat.») — this was actually pretty good. Two ribs in a good sauce.
–HERB ROASTED POTATO («Spud.») — not very «herby” — basically just half of a baked potato with no flavor.
–PASTRY OF THE CASTLE (This he called what it was) — a very decent apple turnover.
DRINK– Terribly limited options– only Pepsi, sweet tea or water. BOOOO!
ALCOHOL– crazy expensive. I recommend you bring a flask.
They do give you a lot of freedom for a theatric production, though. Cameras, video and flash are all allowed and encouraged, though they will come around and take your photos then try and sell them to you. And after the show, all the knights will mill about the lobby for ample photo opportunity at no charge.

Great excuse to eat with your hands and watch a joust!
My wife and kids love this place. You are brought into Medieval Times for a dinner show where you are part of a particular Knights team in which you are encouraged to root for their ability to win the games and ultimately get the blessing of the king.
This story line for the competition of the knows is combined with cool equestrian presentations a bird trainer doing tricks around you and a meal.
My complaints about this place are really just the added value content they try and sell you when you sit there to watch the show. Buy a flag, buy some sparkling rings, wanna buy a photo what about mixed drinks. I guess it comes with the territory of any tourist type event, but just wish it was not so much.
Overall this place is a real treat for kids and adults and if you have not had a chance to check it out I recommend you do. Also, look online for ticket specials.
