Sweet Water Park

I think Sweet Water Park is okay. It’s a less than 5 min drive from my place, fairly clean and the park as a whole has a downward slope to it from the street (which is great if you’re on a bike because you can coast going down the trail, and have to work a bit to get back out).
The park has paved trails and a very small wooded area behind the main lot. It’s not always full of people, but when the days are pretty, expect a fair amount of the park benches, basketball court (s) and trails to be occupied.
No waterfalls, no big massive inclines, no real breathtaking views, no long meandering trails, but that’s ok. Sweet Water is the little neighborhood park that does its job and gives you a good workout if you let it.

I don’t know if we got lucky or what, but the basketball court was EMPTY, which is so rare to find. At other parks I’ve been to there have always been a cluster of people surrounding the courts but I was there for a couple of hours on a Sunday afternoon and only a few people trickled in. I think it’s because there is no full court basketball, only two half courts next to each other. The running trail is nice and the facility seems clean and family friendly.

This park is slapped in the middle of many surrounding neighborhoods.
It can get packed on some days or should I say most days.
The park is spacious and clean.
There are dining areas to grill out.
I have only used the running trail here although there are playgrounds for kids and a sand volleyball court near the entrance.

This is not one of my favorite parks but it’s super close to home when I am feeling too lazy to drive but I know I need to get out and exercise. The trail is simple and flat, I believe it’s only a mile around. They do have a new and beautiful pavilion and it looks like a great get together place for a BBQ.
This park is very open and has tennis courts and basketball courts. Quaint and plain, a good park if you are close to it. It is very clean and well kept.

This use to be one of my favorite parks to walk. Its clean and usually being cleaned by the BIG ORANGE VAN CREW!!! I don’t feel too comfortable and end up leaving once they arrive. I use to live much closer but now I’m in another area so can’t visit as much.
I still know a few people who own shops/​stores in the area… so I come by. say hi then stop in the park to take a walk.
Its been a while gotta get by here more often. hope it stays a nice park for families to visit/​play tennis, basketball etc.
