With more than 630 successful Mathnasium learning centers in USA alone, Mathnasium helps students boost their confidence in Math everyday. Our primary goal is to significantly increase student’s confidence in Math by improving their math skills, understanding of math concepts, and overall school performance. Since we teach only Math, so we are highly specialized and current with Math curriculum in local schools and methods of teaching applied at those Schools. Our students have shown great performance in the STAAR test 2015. Since our Mathnasium certified instructors give instructions to students to help them learn Math instead of just help them going through todays homework that is the reason our students show great results in any standardized Tests.

History

Established in 2002.

Mathnasium opened its first Franchise in 2002. Since then we have opened well over 500 artinek, a Los Angeles-​based mathematics educator, began developing the Mathnasium Method early in his teaching career by writing his own supplemental materials to school curricula. In 1985, Martinek published Math Tips for Parents, a guide for parents and teachers based on his own experiences and his work with his son, Nic. In the book, Martinek argues that students build confidence and mastery in mathematics through successful encounter and interaction with carefully selected materials. He emphasizes that an approach combining oral, visual, mental, and written modalities helps children to develop number sense.

In 1999, Nic died at the age of 19 in a car accident. As a legacy to his son, Larry continued to refine the Mathnasium Method. Mathnasium was founded in 2002. Larry based the Mathnasium Method on the premise that a student’s dislike of math stems from the frustration and embarrassment of not

Manager

Mahim Arain has a Bachelors Degree in Computer Sciences. She worked as a Math teacher at elementary School for almost a year but soon she realized that she was interested in doing something for the underprivileged kids in her community. Two years later with the help from her mom she had successfully established a non profit after school help program which provided supplemental education to the kids whose parents could not help them because they themselves had no School education. With that in mind she has a scholarship program which gives free Math instructions to two qualifying kids per semester at her Mathnasium center in League City.
