Honest and competent. Great combination when dealing with pool companies. We like to support locally owned businesses so we called Piranha after reading good reviews on
. They worked around my busy schedule and did the work I requested quickly without trying to upsell at all. I also asked for them to look at a couple of other issues and the root cause of each problem was identified and resolved at the most reasonable cost. The 5^th star is because they came back and fixed a part on my Polaris sweeper without any added labor. They could have just dropped off the part but they went the extra yard to provide service. They are super nice people that just want to do the right thing for their customers. I understand frustration that can enter into the picture when there is a home warranty company involved. That complicates the process and it’s easiest to blame the people you actually see. After getting to know the folks at Piranha I am convinced they will do everything they can to make things right under the limits of the warranty and if they are wrong about something they will admit it and apologize.

this pool company was sent to my house by my home warranty company after my poil filter broke. They came and replaced my filter and said its running at to high of a pressure and they would be out next day to look at and trouble shoot. Two days later they show up no phone call no explanation and move some pipes. so at this point i have no idea. Also which kinda upset me more was that they left all of the trash for me to pick up. Old filter and the box the new filter came out of. Very second rate and no attn to detail in my opinion. Other than l that the owner seems easy to deal with. But just from these issues i would not recommend.

Beware of this business! They are inexperienced to start with. Worse if they have to work with or through your warranty. The guy Jason advocates his previous business vendors for unnecessary repairs to get the cut. The Piranha pool owner went to unethical route to conspire with our warranty to make some money. VERY bad experience, wish we had never had to deal with such lack of integrity. BEWARE is all I say. Oh and these previous good reviews– I see are more for regular stuff, that’s not tough to impress with. I got their reality with tough repairs, lack of knowledge and then it became worse!

Can’t say enough good things about Bill and Rhonda. We’ve been clients for a few years and the service is always exemplary. The pool always looks great, the emergencies always handled quickly and they always have a fair price. Most recently we had an issue with a valve actuator that went out during a pool party. I texted a photo of the valve actuator to Bill, he talked me through the quick fix and they came out and repaired it on Monday at a great price. Seriously, who else lets you text the problem late on a Saturday and talks you down? Pool party saved, Momma happy, wallet intact. I refer close friends to Bill and Rhonda. If you own a pool, call Piranha.

Piranha Pools has always been there for us and we have needed them many times due to our older pool equipment. Bill comes whenever we need him even if its dark and after hours. Rhonda is always helpful when we call. Bill works well with our home warranty service folks. They are dependable, honest, helpful and know their stuff. Would not have anyone else take care of our pool.

I have been a customer for Piranha Pools for a few years now. They have been wonderful! They have really made my pool zero hassle for me. They take care of all the chemicals needed and replace parts as necessary. Anytime I have any problem at all they are just a quick phone call away and are usually there within 24 hours. I’ve been an advocate for Piranha Pools for a while now. I was working on my filter when I found a broken part. My home warranty service engage Piranha on the repair. They were wonderful to work with. They came out on the weekend, fixed my pool, saved me some money and have started servicing other homes in my neighborhood. I think they are honest, hardworking and very knowledgeable. My pool builder had gone out of business and these guys saved the day. If you need good folks that are hardworking and locally owned, I highly recommend you give them a call.

I have been a customer for over a year & the owners & employees are extremely professional. They are always staying one step ahead. They are very knowledgable & do an excellent job of preventative maintenance as well as maintaining our pool. We have a very complex pool with a commercial river pump & numerous water features. They have been able to address any issue we have encountered. I would recommend then to anyone with confidence.

We have used the Piranha Pools team since the first day our pool was built last summer (2013); they’re awesome! From Rhonda running the front office, Bill teaching Pool School, to Linda managing our pool chemicals, these guys are the total package!
We’ve only had our pool for a year, and the Piranha team has taught/​mentored us along the way. In fact, Linda does a great job of kindly reminding us when we’re not emptying our skimmers or our filter «basket» often enough. She has also taught me how to keep the chemical levels balanced between their visits. It’s not too hard to maintain, but I’ve still decided that they keep our pool so nice, that I’ve asked them to come every week between May & September (hottest months) to keep it perfect!
At the end of the day, I trust the Piranha team 100 x more than I do myself when it comes to keeping my pool in tip top shape. In fact, I have given them my gate code and never question whether or not they’ll show up, take great care of our pool, or keep our property secure.
I sweep it every so often, but other than that, they make it so easy for our family to just jump in and enjoy our pool with very minimal work. That’s exactly why we built the pool in the first place.

Don’t even consider trying to work with these people. We contacted them due to the death of close family member which required us to be in Chicago for 2 weeks. At first they quoted us $ 100 for the first visit to clean up a haze problem and then $ 50 a week for the next 2 weeks that we needed service so I prepaid them $ 200. When the pool person came over she pointed out that she only needed to add a couple of chemicals to clear up the problem so I called back the owner who agreed to reduce the price of the first visit to $ 50. Two weeks later we learned that they had not shown up for the next visit and didn’t even notify us. When we called them about it, they wouldn’t return calls for several days. When I finally got them on the phone they first said that the pool person was on vacation and they hadn’t gotten a chance to schedule someone else or to call us back. Then they claimed that we should have paid them the $ 100 that we originally agreed on because the chemicals alone cost $ 50 (I checked and at most they cost about $ 15). They did come back out for one final visit and then I decided to drop the whole thing as I couldn’t trust them and didn’t want them to come back out again.
