Obviously, no guy looks forward to buying an engagement ring (hope wife doesn’t read this review!). But seriously, buying «the rock» is a daunting task. Luckily for me, Helzberg was great. Super easy to deal with, great inventory, and I know they’ll be around a long time (Warren Buffett owned).
The staff was all great, although most of my interaction was with Susie who was absolutely wonderful. I am glad that I bought the ring here and would definitely recommend to a friend. I’m sure I’ll be back (though my wallet and I hope to take a little break from buying jewelry for a while!)

My boyfriend bought me a ring for my birthday (not THE ring, just A ring) and this is where we chose to get it. The people at Helzberg were very helpful without being overly helpful, which I find that some commission-​based stores can be. A woman named Birdie helped us and she was great. She got a feel for my style pretty quickly and selected several gorgeous rings she thought I would like. Of course this made my choice more difficult, but that’s beside the point. :)
I had to have the ring sized since I have big fat fingers, and in order to get it sized I had to buy insurance for the ring. I thought that was kinda crap at first, but it does cover getting it sized when you need it along with being cleaned regularly and replacing diamonds if you happen to lose one. It was only about $ 30, so I can’t complain too much. My ring was in after about two weeks and I love it. Hopefully I’ll be back here shopping for THE ring soon!
